Kaya is the former vocalist and lyricist from the visual-kei/electronic group Schwarz Stein. After the group's disbandment Kaya and Hora once again teamed up as a one time unit named "another cell". As the new unit they released a self-titled mini-album which was meant to jump-start Kaya's new solo career. On April 23rd, 2008 Kaya debuted under the major label "next media communications" with the single Chocolat.

* Kaya has an older sister named Nomico who is also a vocalist. They are very close and Nomico has appeared as a guest on Kaya's radio show on various occasions.
* Prior to the formation of Schwarz Stein, Kaya used the alias "Hime" (姫) during his time in Meties, ISOLA, and Rudolf Steiner.
* Kaya's mother had a love of jazz music, and exposed him to it during his youth. He, meanwhile, got her hooked on roses in return.
