 To the casual observer, the placid expression on the bright pelted male's face did little to show his true feelings. Aquarius was bored. And not just regular bored. No, it went far beyond that at this point. It was one of those days when he did little more than lay around and debate about what to do. In the end, he never could decide and would waste the entire day away doing absolutely nothing at all. Just the thought of such a thing happening again grew his boredom exponentially. Yet, here he still was, flopped in a lazy heap and doing nothing at all to quell the feeling. Letting out an exasperated sigh, he curled up, covering his muzzle with fuzzy paws. Out behind him, his tail tip twitched unhappily. Do something, do something... Without warning, he rose wildly, storming off through the trees with a determined look on his face and no destination in mind.

 The mottled Koivu burst out of nowhere (or so that's what she told herself, anyway--she was so doing better at the ninja thing!), and started chasing after the strange male.
Devika stared at the male, trying to figure out who he was. But he didn't look familiar. Not even like he could be related to someone else Devi knew. Someone new? He didn't know about how bad the forest was, after all.
But if he was new, then he'd be from the forest, and then he'd know that it was bad.
Maybe he was old-new? Someone old who had come back? That seemed kind of logical.
Suddenly, she was grateful for those not-quite-so-stupid lessons with Uncle Touma about that "critical thinking" stuff. Still wasn't really her strong point, but it still made her feel good when she could figure things out like this on her own.
she asked, tilting her head to one side.
Avani, Devika's familiar, trotted up behind her Koivu, at a slower pace. She wondered what sort of trouble the girl was getting herself into this time.

Caught off guard, he stopped not too far from the edge of the trees, turning back with an expectant expression. Of course, he didn't even have a chance to ask for an explaination before the female blurted one quickly. There was barely any time to comprehend. Now, Aquarius didn't venture into the forest often, that much was true. When he did wander through the trees, he never went more than a few feet. Not out of fear, he merely had no reason to go further than that. Still, despite his obvious out-of-the-loop issues regarding normal Koivu existance, he wasn't a youngling anymore.
he assured with a grin. First impressions had him thinking she just might be exaggerating a little bit. Just a little, maybe. For the time being, however, he humored her and stepped back towards the end of the treeline. He had wanted something to do. Company counted, he figured.

Devika smiled, seeing that he moved back. He said he could take care of himself, but she was worried about what would happen to her. She didn't want to hurt any of the animals and make Mommy sad.
Okay, so maybe this was a new state of hyper, even for Devika, but it was really rare that she got to met new grown up Koivu, so it was kind of exciting. And she hadn't really hung out with anyone in her family recently, so actually it was kind of exciting to be hanging out with anyone.
Avani was okay, but she was kind of boring. Like a way to strict mother, really, who didn't want Devi to have any fun.
Actually, Devi was really surprised at how quiet her familiar was being. She was kind of curious about that, but hey, she wasn't about to question a good thing!
