there is a big one in paris every year, it is called "salon du cheval", it last one full week and a lot of people gather there to show or see horses, talk about them, sell stuff...
there are a lot of exibitions too and some contests too.
this is very nice and i really love to go there. whee

Yes, ive been there the last 3 years, it's a lot of fun, and not too hard for me to get to because i live in southern ohio so im only about 5-6 hours away.. It's fun, sometimes watching though i get frustrated, some great horses who are hands down blue ribboners don't get it, so i think ther may be a little pay-offs lol, but other then that it's a blast.
Although i wont be going this year... I wish i could go, QH congress is always fun... I encourage you to go, its a great way to pick up some nifty hints to ride better... Be sure to bring a jacket though, it is windy as hell up there, since its completely flat with not many trees to stop it, it just swirlls around buildings with full force.. I've never experienced wind like it lol... And there are some "gangstas" so i wouldnt encourage a jolly stroll at midnight lol... Looking at the Buckeyes stadium is fun to =P Too bad they didnt have a game the last 3 times i was down there...

Some People bring their rare horse breeds down just to show in stalls, for instance arabians, gypsys, and other breeds of that sort. It's also fun just to see some of the famous horses just lounging in their stalls.. They have several shops also, with just about anything horse related you could think of, from shirts to rare models to saddles and everything inbetween.

Yeah, but with my new three year old, we have a LOT of training to do before I go to Congress. I really wanna thou. I went to watch last year with my trainer. It was cool.

Congress is...about thirty minutes away from my house! Haha, I've been many times! My barn has been showing there for many years, its a really great show! Not all the results are up. But my friend Amanda came in fifth in her hunter eq class! And last year Alex won her eq class, and came in eighth this year. I haven't show the past two years because...well I've been riding a TB! Haha but next year I'm planing on showing in Eq, maybe hunter with Edward. I also may ride Dolly, who has won both a hunter and a eq class at Congress. I <33 Congress, its amazing. My barns done showing this year. All but two of our riders placed! Link to OQHA (Ohio Quarter Horse)
