As you walk into the lobby of the large building you see elegance and beauty surrounds this quaint place. Spirits pass by you as if it was a normal everyday thing, one pushing a vacuum cleaner.

Creatures of all kinds are allowed to stay here (pets and animal companions, even familiars need to be kept in check however, and are not allowed in certain rooms) so one never knows what they might encounter. However this place has a homely air to it and you are drawn to the counter with your luggage in hand to check yourselves in for a short...long or even eternal stay.

A young woman with green hair pulled into a twist smiles as you approach the desk, in fact, seems like her entire attire is green for that matter. By her on the desk is a little Gramster, and it looks at you with curious innocent malicious wide eyes.

"Greetings, welcome to the Starshine Inn and Suites, I'm the receptionist, how can I set things up to make your stay enjoyable?"

This hotel is set in Durem, Gaia, as in its part of Gaia, like the people and characters are actually on the world itself and players in the games, events, etc. This hotel is also what you call a warp, characters from video games, OCs, movies, animes, etc as they all have the potential of finding a window or portal that will land them in Gaia. Most of the time, its purely by accident, sometimes, its on purpose.

And as every place...there are secrets that can be discovered, you just have to go looking...in the right place.

Rules:
This is an RP, use {{, [[, (( or something to differentiate between IC and OOC.
Follow the Gaia T.O.S.
No cybering, spamming, harassment, flaming (n00b exceptions made)
There is no stupid question, just stupid people.
The receptionist, Kate, Craig, and Viola Cadaverini can ALWAYS get a situation under control if it needs to be.
No killing a character without permission from the one that plays them - we want this to be a chaotic FUN atmosphere
Do random stuff
Romance is allowed
You may get drunk off your a**
You may RP when drunk if you wish, could be fun
We don't endorse underage drinking
The Fourth Wall is made to be broken
We accept literate RPers, Semi-Literate RPers, talking with sprites and pictures, we'll probably be doing such, why can't you?

Note: This is a place for fun, enjoyment and relaxation. It is random and chaotic (nevermind how the posts are organized) and the creators were on late night highs when they created this place. Just keep that in mind. People from all kinds of worlds, be it movies, video games, books, etc can come here and relax.

Moderators: There are two main moderators of this place, and our word is law.

Violetta Cadaverini - Is INDEED epicsauce served on the hotel's steak. Tends to quietly lurk around the threads she's on, and will try her best to rp more! More or less a calm mod, willing to give people a second chance if they try hard enough, though it's still has to be unanimous between Mina and her. She enjoys playing little kids and tries to be helpful when it comes to artwork and sprites. Wants to be friends with pretty much everyone, so don't take advantage of her. Oh, and call her Vivi.

Seung Mina56 - is an avid writer and RPs for fun. Patient when it comes to waiting on art, little to no tolerance for noobs and hates Drama. While protective of her characters, constructive criticism is welcome. She's the mod you really don't want to piss off, but who'll donate to quests and help clothe mules if asked nicely. She can be fun, so forgive her some of her outbreaks.

If you have questions, feel free to PM either of us, but any big stuff pertaining to this place should be PMed to the receptionist account. *nods* We're willing to hear all sides of a story, but if we come to a final decision after that then that's all there is to it.

The jobs and positions offered at this hotel vary, from entertainer to server.

Some of the jobs have already been taken, but extra help is always welcome.

Your rooms are cleaned by spirits and dead controlled by the head maid, Kate. However do take note she looks nothing like a maid, and so long as you are out of your room for at least an hour, the room is spotless afterward.

The head chef Craig makes wonderful meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If there happens to be a red tint to your meal, don't worry, its our extra secret ingredient and is good for you.

Food is delivered on a daily/weekly basis by a young farmer named Jack, who provides all the basic crops and produce needed to cook organic healthy and hearty meals. Sometimes he even cooks food for the guests when he's in the right mind to do so. He can be asked to cater.

The hotel is supported by Cadaverini and Co., and complimentary coffee cake is always available in the lobby. Now don't mind the secret ingredient in that either, as it is just that, a secret. If you see the Cadaverini family wandering about, do say hello and wish them a nice day.

The child care services is headed by Katiana Nahalim Kudryo, an elf of some high stature, however she's taken a liking to children, as she has one of her own, and oversees the children's play area when she's not on diplomatic missions. She also will do some detective work for a fee if people are in need of such services.

Doctor Cais-Sandra is available to take care of any health care needs. She accepts most insurance plans and there is a small pharmacy where medicines and prescriptions can be obtained.

Security is fairly well taken care of, and we won't give the details on such and we offer safes up for you in case you wish to store your valuables within them. We take a stance on little to no violence in the hotel unless you are in the dojo. However we have a policy of unless it is in our safes, your valuables are at your own risk. We will assist as much as we can to finding your lost items, but we are not responsible for you bringing in items you know you might loose. Theft will be dealt with accordingly, as will other crimes.

Activities

Of course you would want to know about the wonderful activities about our home and this should expand some on a few things that were mentioned earlier.

An arcade with a wide variety of games, not just arcade but games of any nature really connects to the lobby of the hotel as well as the indoor pool and hot tub. While the arcade is open 24/7 the pool has day hours only. It can be rented out for parties and late night events, as well as certain events within the hotel itself can cause it to be open longer. It usually stays locked at night however. There is no lifeguard on duty at the pool, so children must be attended by an adult at all times.

The billiards room includes a wonderful library of books you can read at your leisure. Our librarian usually on staff will let you check out the books so long as you are staying at the hotel and comfortable couches exist for you to read upon, there is even a small fireplace that you can read by.

The children's room has toys and games for children from toddler to about 13 years of age. Katiana runs this place and there are plenty of things for children to do, and a wide variety of games. Older children are allowed, but only if they were asked by a parent to stay with a younger sibling. If not, the arcade and gaming room or the library is recommended for them.

Comfortable meeting rooms exist that can be rented out for any occasion, be it a party or a wedding reception. If they are not in use, visitors are welcome to gather in said rooms, and are allowed to check out board games from the reception desk and play in a quiet environment.

Don't worry, there's also a large elegant ballroom that can be rented out for your weddings, or large events. Catering these events is available! So is hiring someone to perform. All services outside of renting the room must be discussed with the receptionist at least two months before the event, to make sure the space is available.

The continental breakfast is served in a lounge just next to the lobby, easily accessible to all. Lunch is also served here as well as dinner, though buffet is the most common thing offered, special orders can be made.

The Midnight Moon lounge offers a late night meal or drink to those who are looking for one, as well as more night suitable entertainment. It can be anything from entertainers (song and/or exotic), to open poetry or karaoke nights.

There are also outdoor activities available, as being near a lake allows for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and there are some woods and trails along the lake.

There is a dojo and a workout room complete with everything you'd need for a well rounded session of fighting practice or merely working out. This area is in the basement and slightly different from the other areas, as this place can be destroyed as the things in it can, for once the fighting is over or a break is needed, the area does repair itself. However this is resorted to physical fighting only. Please take all magical battles outside.

One final thing... There is a Greenhouse on the roof of the hotel, that houses exotic plants and is quite humid inside, but a good place to relax if one doesn't want to take walks outside when it might be rainy or snowy. Who tends it? Well, its rumored to be the security force, but its not like anyone sees them at all.

One of our top features happens to be the Spa we have in our own backyard. Here you can relax and enjoy yourself as you're pampered as the princess or prince for a day. An excellent getaway for couples looking to have some more intimate time together, as if our rooms weren't enough.

Relax and let the massage room draw you in as the well trained staff massages out the kinks and knots.

Make a full day of a personal spa if you wish to simply be by yourself the whole day.

Aroma Therapy is available to help you relax, as is Shiatsu, an Asian technique said to restore balance, Deep Tissue, or remedial massages for your need of deep relaxation and feelings of pampering, and the ever popular Hot Rock treatments which can sooth your weary muscles better than anything else normally can.

Supernatural and magical forms of massage also exist upon request, however they can't substitute for everything.

Treatments for your spa day can also include getting your hair or nails done, and facial treatments, so you can leave at the end of the day feeling your best.

Current Events: Hotel Events going on, HELL YES!

White List:

Black List:

Q&A:

1) Why make a hotel like this?
We love our crossovers and crack. And I've explored Barton town some, and all the crossover places I see include 'chat' crossovers where you have to pretty up a post, (to the point of unreadability for me) and all kinds of other nonsense. I think meeting a person in ... 'reality' is easier in a way than in a chat room. And most canon characters, and even some OCs, technology? What Technology? Definitely not any chat rooms

2) Why use a character thread if its like a place of business?
Because it helps the muns keep some balance of sanity. If you're going to be a regular, or want to see what canons and OCs frequent the place, what better place than a character thread? Also, this may be a business place, but its also a crossover OC place...and thus exists on multiple planes.
If it comes to the point where we're posting the sheets for you 'cause you keep editing them in a negative way to the character or place, they'll be gone.
And also, having tons of profiles crowding the front page is just like...yuck.

3) I wanna RP a canon, but one already exists, what do I do?
PM the person playing the character and ask permission. And that ONLY applies if you're going to be a permanent resident, or wish to be. If you're allowed or given permission (and the mods can override a no by another player if you'd do the character justice). A person can also note in their profile if they'd allow a double or not. If that's the case then Mod override is the only way. PM a sample RP of said canon in that request.
Sub rule to this is please don't enroach on their plot points (if any). If they're involved in a plot, don't take that away from them.

4) What qualifies as a n00b?
There are a few definitions of a n00b. This doesn't encompass them all, just a few.
A) Someone who doesn't read the rules and just posts stupid stuff not even relevant to the RP, doesn't differentiate OOC and IC in the process
B) Someone who doesn't attempt literacy in an RP
C) Someone who begs for gold, attention, items, etc

It was delivery day, and so Jack was bringing along all the crates of food he was meant to deliver to the hotel as was usual for him. He made a drop every couple of days, and stopped by on occasion just to visit with people.

His hair was a bit wild around his face, but a standard brown. He wore and odd yet elegant style of dress fitting for him and worked well for farming. Sturdy boots and heavy gloves. His blue eyes shone with pride for the hard work done paying off each time he delivered food.

"Anyone here?" He could always just leave the drop at the side door. He sometimes did and it was picked up later that evening. Craig was one for the night stuff, least that's what he heard. Didn't meet the guy much.

He was tempted to go exploring again, maybe see the receptionist and say hi to her Gramster.

No Jack, you weren't alone.

The woman came walking towards the Hotel, carrying a few bags of ingrediants for coffeecake. She wore a long dark-colored dress, with a blood-red ribbon tied around her neck. Her appearance gave off a mysterious aura, though you could sense a hidden warmth.

Usually Viola would come with her daughter, Momo, it was a bit late, and Momo didn't like going out too late. So the bandaged woman would have to come by herself.

She didn't seem to look at anything until noticing the young delivery boy farmer with crates.

"Ah, hello.."
PostPosted: Tue Nov 11, 2008 9:58 pm

"Oh, hello Miss," Jack said, giving a small bow. "I didn't think many people were here...or awake at this hour..." He smiled. "I don't normally make deliveries this late, but I had to get it out. Some fresh vegitables, fish, eggs and milk, the usual stuff."

His eye sparkled. "I must be babbling, I'm sorry. I'm Jack." He had never met the sponsers of this place, but he was being polite.

Craig emerged from the kitchen dressed in his usual attire, wearing a chef hat. "Oh good, food delivery!" Least what the farmer usually brought over. He gave both Jack and Viola a nod and proceeded to take the crates into the kitchen. He had some unloading to do into the big fridge, and there just wasn't enough time...or was there? He carried the crates with ease, and left the two alone.
