It's too poppy for my taste x_o. Now I like pop music, and although they did have a poppy sound on their last album, you could tell it was rock. On the new one, it sounds TOO pop. I don't know, I prefer their rock sound, but it's something new, and they wanted to try different things.
I'm still deeply in love with Daddy's Little Girl! So much, I may marry it gonk . And Pretend. Oh man am I so glad that's on the album! I loved it the minute I heard it and been wanting it.
What's everyone elses opinion?

I love most of the songs, just not as much as you love Daddy's Little Girl because i dont want to marry them all. Maybe im just spreading the love around more to the other songs. I think im prefectly fine with the poppy sound even if i like the other album more... i dunno... its just all more... happy sounding? iono how to describe it x_x;;; that was obviously a terrible way to try to describe what i ment but still....
I'll like it as long as they didnt go all country on us and make me feel like i wasted my money on their album because i liked the first album and tried to force myself to like the second album too.... like some other bands i might know...*cough* Panic at the disco*cough* Yup. So as long as i dont get the "omg i wasted my money" feeling after listening to it once, i'll be pretty happy =)
My opinion is ninja look at how emotionless my opinion is!

Well, I heard Daddy's Little Girl WAY back in February and I fell in love with it then. Once that happens with me, I will forever love the song XD...most of the time.
It is definitely not wasted money! Still good, just a tad different than what I'm used to/prefer. But like I said, they wanted to try different sounds(not that I'm hating, I'm just saying!). Gotta love bands who experiment than keep putting out the same thing over and over. At least I do. I wouldn't be surprised if their next album was hard rock XD. Some of their older songs have a harder sound to them, so hey.
Edit: I was just listening to the album again on iTunes and it doesn't seem that poppy anymore to me. Sounds alternative, like their last. So nevermind my first post! I'm in love. I don't think anybody will be disappointed... or they shouldn't mad . I just got to get used to this album, I'm so in love with the last gonk

Oh snap the album's good. :] I wasn't disappointed, but I can't say I like it better than their other music. There are so many great, catchy songs on the new album that it's hard to resist. But there isn't really that one thrilling song like Rise From the Ashes, you know? Anyways, it's still super cool, and I agree with you guys on Daddy's Little Girl (but the lyrics annoy the hell out of me! lol) I'm also really liking Believe, Promise Me, and Pretend. But I'm just glad they're doing what they want to do without a major label controlling them... but what was with the surprise joining with the Militia Group label? Oh well, it's all cool So—great album, and I think imma go listen to it again right now ;D

As much as I love Daddy's Little Girl, I can't agree with Matt's dad saying that's their big/next hit >_>. There's other better songs than it. Maybe it's a third single or something, if any, but not the first. It does have a haunting melody, but other songs of theirs are just WAY catchy and would for sure reel people in.
I'll have to ask about the label thing. All I know is they didn't want to be with Sony anymore 'cause they didn't pay great attention to them and our boys wanted to get moving!!
