His expression seems to always whisper that he knows something that you do not and is quite smug about that. His calm and casual behavior can sometimes give off the impression of a man not strict in his beliefs but it is quite the opposite. Though he is open to do things that other Roots would not be willing, for him, everything is a calculated risk. Risks can yield the best rewards that may solve unspoken imbalance long in the future. Despite having an overflowing presence of confidence, there is no semblance of ego in his actions. He is a kind and patient teacher to those who want to learn but also a fair dealer of punishment for those who break the rules. All know that Amare’s judgement is often fair for the actions done. He carries a dark wisdom that seems to fester under his skin and is also slightly driving him mad. He considers himself a student of the vast universe eternally and is waiting for the next lesson to come upon everyone with brimstone as it often does. Even though Amare’s mind is only focused on the consistent and true balance, he finds pleasure in the small things. Cigars, music, pralines, and tequila. A habit he has been unable to break since he was teen, he loves a good party as long as the music is hot and the bodies are hotter. As a man known to be a party boy, a calm teacher and a prodigy of the arts-- it is an almost contradictory shade of character for him. Deep inside, he is a man who loves a good story, a fun night but still a responsible man for those who follow him now and even in the future. Amare’s motivations are very unclear but the very core is that balance is needed and will be kept, no matter what. Choosing sides benefits no one and he holds no interest. What choices you make, your mistakes, your sins. They don’t matter at all to him until you disrupt the balance. And, of course, he does have an allegiance to his people themselves. After all, they are the only line of defense against the tide. BRIEF BIO: ◆ Born in the Congo, with parents stuck in a war between families from either practice of Hoodoo, Amare has been a victim of many curses through his childhood. He's been riddled with revenge and death curses that has put his life at risk ever since he was just a baby. He has vomited glass, felt the pain of nails driving through his body and has even been the victim of a hex that made him infertile. His parents, skilled at their craft, managed to save their son just in time to be able to send their own curses and hexes into the air. A pure chaos of imbalance that had him suffering throughout his youth. ◆ As most battles like this goes, it ended in blood. With the improper use of their craft, it all came back to them in such furious succession that only those who hadn’t caused harm were left with a pulse. The universe punished his parents in the most fatalistic way it could be done. He attended their funeral when he was 16. ◆ Amare was then sent to the states to live with his Aunt, a Voodoo Priestess at the time. She mentored him and a year in living with the woman, he agreed to undertake "The Walking" ritual. Yet, before he did, he did anything and everything he could. He enjoyed his life to the fullest. From parties, drugs, to orgies- as not everyone returns from this ritual despite everyone in the Roots having to. In a way, he was attempting to drown away the screams of his parents and his past pain. The Roots were so different from what he had experience while growing up but it seemed as if he couldn't forget his family that he had lost almost overnight. And when it came the day for him to do the ritual, he walked into that swamp with almost no hope of ever returning. ◆ It took a full year before he returned without memories of what was seen but he now seemed to carry a weight in his heart and a wisdom he didn't understand, initially. Yet, despite it, it seemed like he had almost forgotten any anguish he felt for his family. All the regrets, sadness and turmoil. He still was himself and he remembered his family but there was a strange presence of something missing along the way. ◆ It was a couple of months before he realized the whispers in his brain were not the usual rattle of the spirits that seemed to cling to him. Though he calmly pretended as if he didn't feel like a worm that eating its way through his brain, he was afraid. A fear that was akeen to madness quietly sat there. One thing he knew was that whatever it was, it was something he had brought back with him from the depths of the swamp. ◆ After returning back, Amare's skill in his craft seemed blossom, having a strange knowledge and understanding that some considered strange but not unwelcome. He took to the practice his Aunt taught which was voodoo but is knowledgeable in both crafts. His Aunt formally then introduced him as a root and suggested to have him teach others and, perhaps one day, be a priest. ◆ When he became 20, his aunt returned back to the Congos, saying that she would be settling a spiritual debt his family had accumulated. Since then, they have talked on the phone but never seen each other face to face. ◆ Amare mainly locked him away in his home in the swamps and many have to come to him if they wish to see him. He has cast a spell that even some other witches have difficulty finding his home. Which earned him the name, 'Ghost of the Bayou'. He does come to events and can't resist a good party so he shows his face from time to time. SPECIALTY: The rot curse is one of Amare's specialties and can initiate it by touch. Amare is on the level of a priest and is good at high level and advanced level spells. Curses are something he is very skilled at, so it is suggested to not allow him to find a strand of hair, a drop of blood or anything that might tempt your fate. His overflow of magic affects his presence and even things he touches. LIKES: - He really likes to eat. Mainly sweets and extremely spicy food. - Hot summers. - Parties. - Discovering new curses, even if they are weak and simple. - Love or funny stories. - Teasing people. - Cigars. DISLIKES: - Leaving the comfort zone of New Orleans. - Ice cream or very cold foods. His teeth is sensitive. - Arrogance. - Strangers touching him without permission. - Arguing. 『 EXTRA 』 ▪ Amare has several ear piercings, a nose ring and even a tongue ring- though he doesn't always wear them. ▪ He used to be best friends with a Salem Witch's familiar when he was younger. ▪ Amare doesn't cook due to his magic being able to leak into his food through his fingertips. This often ends up with foul and cursed meals that make people sick. It also can make Amare's simple touching like a sweet, stinging poison if he isn't careful. The most obvious fact of this overflow of magic is due to his presence calming others, as if lulling them to sleep.

Not to long ago, a leopard who lust for power and more thought up an interesting idea. An idea to rule over most if not all bullies of that Savannah. Him being clever, only would take in those who were in need of someone to tell them what to do. Those who were without hope unless there was someone to guide them. A pride strictly for bad tempered, rude, and arrogant felines. Who had no respect, but for those who they call brother.

The leopard brought in may types of felines. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, even weird hybrids that most wouldn't dare to take in. All with one thing in common; To cause hell upon everyone else that lived along side them. To take advantage of the weak minded, to beat and kill the weak and undesirable creatures. Anything that would please the selfish, heartless Leopard King.

Though, innocents is as well in the pride. The one the King took as his Queen. Innocent, sweet, and kind. Clouded by love, to see the true side of her beloved. Thinking the pride was made for her and the safty of her children. Unaware that wasn't the mane priority of the pride, but close to it. The truth hidden from her of what really goes on. Females are treated as lessors. Being always second to males.

Bhanu'Ecchumati has a strange code of honor. Everyone minds their own business. If one fight breaks out, then the king gets to punish both of them any way he pleases. Fighting with another in the pride will show dishonor and untrustworthiness in who started it. They will either be banished, brutally beaten, or rarely sometimes killed if it's a bad enough dishonor on the pride.

You really wouldn't see anyone in the pride share things unless close friends, or family. Even sometimes families wont' share with each other. Everyone hunts for their own stuff. Only the king really has say in anything. If there's a disagreement with the kings ruling, they will be banished from the pride, and if ever saw again, killed, or beaten badly.

There really isn't any religion. Where some might believe in gods, other's don't. Each one keeps their religion to themselves. Where one SoA could be super spiritual, another could think that it's a waste of time. It really just depends on how you want your SoA to picture things. The most common god that would be worshiped in the pride would be god of Hunt, or god of torture. Yet, you wouldn't really find anyone truly, openly admit that they worship any god.

Doesn't really matter what you do out side of the pride. Nor does the king really care how you handle your own kids. Either leaving them with the other party, or bringing them into the pride. As long as they know all the rules, they can stay until they reatch the adolescent age. Though, if breeding gets too out of hand, the king will demand everyone to keep to themselves, or they'll end up being kicked out of the pride.
