Have a favourite quote from dragonlance? State it! If you can, tell who said it and from which book. If you -really- want to get into it, include the chapter or page as well. ninja heart

"I like the feeling of the magic inside of me. And"- he glanced at Otik, bustling about the counter; Raistlin's thin lips parted in a pallid smile- "and some day fat inkeepers will bow to me."

***potential Spoiler from Dragons of a Vanished Moon***
"Stop talking nonsense," said Gerard in a decided tone. "Raistlin Majere is dead!:
"So am I," said Tasslehoff Burrfoot. He smiled up at Gerard. "You can't let a little thing like that stop you."

Quote: RAISTLIN: Finished with my cleric 'Cause she couldn't help me with my quest. People think I'm insane But that is just because I'm the best! All day long I make up spells, And magic really satisfies! Think I'll go back in time To slay an evil undead guy. Can you help me murder the Dark Queen? Oh yeah... I need someone to take me to the Abyss which I have to find I can't see the things that make you look so sweet, but I'm not blind... Stay with you until you die? Well, I will laugh And you will cry Happiness you'll never feel And my love for you is so unreal CRYSANIA: And so as I hear these words Telling me now of my state I wish you would stay with me I wish you would but it's too late A parody of the song 'Paranoid' by Black Sabbath, rewritten by 'Sparky' and submitted to RaistLand.com.
It's just not possible, any more, for me to hear this song without thinking of the rewritten version....

"'Hope is the denial of reality. It is the carrot dangled before the draft horse to keep him plodding along in a vain attempt to reach it.' 'Are you saying we should just give up?' Tanis asked, irritably tossing the bark away. 'I'm saying we should remove the carrot and walk forward with our eyes open,' Raistlin answered." (440)

"'You fainted-' 'I did no such thing!' the dwarf roared. 'You-you were out cold,' Laurana stammered. 'I never faint!' stated the dwarf indignantly. 'It must have been a reacurrence of that deadly disease I caught on board that boat-'" (245)

"By the way", Caramon added as an afterthought, "what did you do with the flying citadel?"
"Oh"--Tas waved his hand nonchalantly--"I gave it to Rounce"
"The gully dwarf?" Caramon stopped, appalled.

"You will feel the pain of death. But not yet. Not now. So my Queen wished it, and I obey her last wishes. But know this, wretch. In the face of every elf I meet, I will see your face. The life of every elf I take will be your life. And I will take many . . . to pay for the one." - 591, Dragons of a Vanished Moon
