I can't log into the Beta Site!! What do I do?
Are you sure your address bar says test 10 That is the Beta Testing site. Also, your account has been cloned from the live site to the beta site by adding _beta to the end of your name. For instance, my login to the beta site would be TSG Shay_beta and I would use my normal password.

The testing site may ask, for verification, your Date of Birth. Enter it. After you hit submit, there might be the rare chance where it will ask you to enter your Date of Birth again. Keep doing so until it finally brings you to the Gaia Testing Homepage. I've heard of some testers having to enter their birthday close to ten times before it accepted it. Just be persistent. If it annoys you, or you feel you cannot do it any more, close the window, and come back in a couple hours to try again.

The test site contains a CLONED version of your Live Account. This cloning was made possible with data anywhere between three weeks and three months ago. If you recently changed your password and it's giving you an error when trying to log in that your password is incorrect, try your last password. In most cases, this works.

If you are still having trouble logging into the Beta site, the Devs may not yet activated your account. Please be patient as most of our Devs are hard at work making sure everything is set up properly for you.

I don't like the _beta at the end of my username, or I want to change my username completely... Can I do that?
It's recommended by the Developers that you keep the _beta at the end of your username, and to keep your username matching what it is on the main site, that way, they can track everything.

I suggest NOT changing your Username, nor removing the _beta from the end of your name.

When can I test?
Testing will be available during the times listed in the announcements by Qixter. All times posted are in PST (Pacific Standard Time, the time where Gaia HQ is located, Los Angeles, California.)

500k Gold?!
That is Gold that is available to you on the Beta Server. That Gold is NOT TRANSFERABLE to your live account. Any thing you buy/trade/gift/sell on the Beta server is not available on the Live Site. Look at it as Play Money for when you need items from other users or out of the MP. Hell, you could even buy a brand new entire wardrobe out of the Gold Shops.

But why can't I keep the 500k Gold when Testing is over! I feel that's fair for allowing us to test!
It would cause MASS INFLATION, and that's bad...

Some people do not realize the scope of how much Gold that is.

500,000 gold times 6,000 users (and that number is rising every day) equals 3,000,000,000 (that's 3 BILLION) Gold to the Economy. Prices would SKYROCKET.

Live site?!
The live site is the site we are on now. You can tell the difference between the live site and the beta site by looking in your address bar. If it says testxwww.gaiaonline.com, then you are on the Beta Site. If it says www.gaiaonline.com, you're on the live site!

Why can't I access Towns/Fishing/Puzzle/etc?
All other, non zOMG servers are turned off.

If items are gained during testing, do we get to keep them?
No. You will be given a clone of your account on a test server that does not communicate with the main server. It will start with a decent sum of gold to test with. But any items and gold you earn on this temporary account will vanish when testing is over.

Will the ??? Rings be changed once we log onto the server?
I don't know. I hadn't managed to get far enough in the last test to see if it was accessible in-game yet. Perhaps someone else knows.

Are all areas that are going to be available when the MMO is released to the public going to be available during testing?
Theoretically, yes, they should be. In actuality, unforeseeable errors may prevent access to some areas. That's what we're here for. To find out what doesn't work so it can be fixed.

Will the first wave of testers have access all the time, even while other waves are being added?
Not quite certain what this is asking. Currently, the game servers are being brought up for scheduled test times only, and the game will be unplayable between these times. And it seems like all available testers, both SCAS and the forum recruits, will have access during tests.

Is the in game store going to be open during the initial test tomorrow, and if so, do all the buyable items require the drops from monsters or are some available with only gold/cash?
The zOMG shop should be working on the beta server. I don't think anyone so far has had the chance to test the recipe/prize item exchange, so again, there may be unforeseen bugs with those processes.

As for the last half of that question... Hey, somebody up there, can we tell them about the shop items before they've gotten set up on the server? I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to say. neutral

Where do I get rings?
You'll get basic rings from Dani, an NPC you'll meet in the sewers. You might also get rings from charitable testers, but don't count on it!

Can I keep items I find in Battle?
No. The test server is completely disconnected from the live server. Any items you receive or give away there will have no impact on your "real" items.

What is this GSI Error and I/O Error I get whenever I try to load the game?
I/O Error means the server isn't up.
GSI Error is an error with Gaia's zOMG Database. It probably can't retrieve your account info. That's fixed by trying again.
NOTE: The above two answers are only correct during Testing Time. Any other time, the Game is not available to play, and thus you will receive these errors. No matter when you receive these errors, it means the Game Servers are not connected to the Client (you).

How I mine 4 fish?
You mine 3 fish, and then 1 more.

On my beta account, the inventory has older things that I've sold. And it says I don't have a katana and its equiped. Can someone help.

Your inventory was cloned from the live site using data from anywhere between a few weeks to a couple months ago.

There's nothing to worry about, just think of it as a separate account that you can mess around with, that won't mess with this account.

What is this "SCAS" I keep hearing about?

Super Cool And Secret. It's the main Beta Testers guild, where we test everything upcoming for the site, not just Battle. We're glad to have you guys helping us with this one, though. Testing site features is one thing, but it's going to take a lot more than SCAS to put a full-fledged MMO through it's paces.

What is this "Zeta" I keep hearing about?

Zeta is an amalgamation of the two words zOMG and Beta. zOMG + Beta = Zeta. It's a nickname that SCAS'ers have given to the zOMG only Testers.
