Looks like the bailout is going to get passed after all. Not that it will solve anything--we Americans still have not learned our lesson.

I really don't know, the house was the one that killed the last bailout bill - and this one looks even worse. This particular one includes "tax cuts that some Republicans find appealing" aka tax cuts for the rich...

Oh god...now here's what I don't understand...how is it that welfare for the poor is evil but handouts and welfare for the rich is great, you just call it by a different name? :

Poison the Dreamer Oh god...now here's what I don't understand...how is it that welfare for the poor is evil but handouts and welfare for the rich is great, you just call it by a different name? : the rich can vote themselves to get more money because it's good business, giving the poor money doesn't benefit the politicians voting for it

So, does Milton Friedman get his Nobel Prize taken away?
For those who don't catch that reference, go wiki it. Trust me. it's worth a chuckle.
But the point is this, and the point is clear, and now the majority of Americans will realize one thing: Free Market Economy? Doesn't work. From now one, we can look forward to regulations to make sure this doesn't happen again.
At least it's a step in the right direction.
