Biography: Born in Helba, the hidden sanctuary for demons, devils, vampires, lycanthropes, and humans worshipping the damned and their own carnal urges, Sho Ashalamar Tesseral Clarkson was birthed to a family steeped in century long traditions that proclaimed for them to sacrifice their first-born son or daughter should he or she not be able to complete the ritual of forging a connection with the darkness within their very hearts by the age of seven.

The ritual itself calls for the heir of the family to be subjected to the ancient ancestral sword, Desecrater. The child is bathed in the blood of nine virgins, nine women for one man or nine men for one woman, and still wet with the purity of the slain, the boy or girl must walk up the ebony steps of the tomb and speak with the guardian of the sword. The guardian first tests the boy's or the girl's mental facilities, speaking in riddles and tongues. The riddles behold no real answer, some say, but it is the reaction made by the accosted heir that determine whether or not he or she is worthy to continue. If the heir is deemed right by the Dark Guardian, then he or she is permitted to pass, and passing the guardian, the heir furthers into the Seal of Mardar, where the first and most powerful dark knight waits in slumber in his tomb, bearing his forsaken blade, Desecrater, in his hands.

The heir must seek the tomb, open it, and pull Desecrater by his or her own strength and will. It is not so much by physical action that Desecrater is levied but by force of utter will and determination and the amount of potential Desecrater foresees in the heir. Obviously, if Desecrater is not freed by the heir, then the heir is not truly worthy to be the next successor to the Mardar Lineage, and the child is slayed on the spot by the fell sword.

The test may last from a few brief hours to the course of a week to truly test the bravado of the child. Sho Clarkson's test lasted six days. The test was such that it caused Sho to return with the pale visage similar to that of the kitsune of Japanese myth and folktale, but whether he retains his human self or his new dark hybridization with the darkness inside his very heart, his eyes persist as black pools with minuscule red beads centering upon them.

After success, Sho was admitted to the full training provided by the dark knights and fell knights serving his family, rigorous tests forcing untold horrors and strains upon his body and spirit and secreted techniques bestowing him unnatural life and fortitude unbeknown by mortal kin. When he became the age of twelve, after a long five years, he was re-instituted into private schools to perfect his mental facilities, once more.

He is now at Mahora Academy.

Personality: Sho is initially a quiet boy, always seen brooding over some topic of interest or abating his own quasi-natural urges to forgo what tranquil parts of him remain and besiege those who step outside his invisible or possibly non-existent wall of safety. As per the teachings in his youth of the Mardar, he has become an open-minded individual despite emotional ties to quiet those he utterly believes to be in the wrong mind, or those who state his own belief to be wrong and self-centered. While he will state that he cares nothing for the body, this statement is hypocritical: he regularly indulges in testing the waters with both men and women, teasing and ridiculing others for physical contact in some form.

An objectivist by fault, he holds to the idea that the greatest moral duty to anyone is one's own pleasure and interest, and he holds strong to this ideal with unbridled passion. To the lesser mind, he is a cold and logic-prone person, but to the truly exceptional mind, he is a beast, someone prone to emotional outbursts when tested or given bother.

Weapon: "Desecrater" (Fell Longsword), Ouroborus (Animated Nethersteel Shield)

When Desecrater is drawn from its sheathe, by way of the soul contract forged with the initiation rite (activation key), Sho is treated as a Level 9th Dark Knight. Ouroborus may be summoned by only speaking the first sentence of the initiation rite, replacing the word 'sword' with 'fist' and the word 'breath' with 'shield', but before Desecrater may be used, the entire verse must be spoken by its supposed wielder.

Ouroborus functions as an animated, black, and circular shield that absorbs all light directed at its surface. The shield will move to guard Sho against incoming attacks, turning Light and Fire spells as if it had equal power to reflect the attacks. Treat Ouroborus as having 30 spell levels (highest spell level 9th) to determine whether how many spell levels worth to Light or Fire spells can be turned.

Other: None.

Appearance: Sho bears a fair skin tone, like that of chestnut, white hairs looming from atop his head like a coarse mop rooted and entangled. Over his shoulders, his knees, and his elbows, there are freckles of lighter patches of skin, but more so over his body run several scars, possibly from the training he undertook to learn the ways of the Dark Sword.

Sho prefers to wear the custom colors of his family, sticking primarily to a uniform exotic in comparison to those usual worn by Mahoran students. He usually always will wear his laced black, long-sleeved shirt with wide-brimmed collar turned upward, and over his similarly dark pants, there will be found a simple black skirt. When wearing his own clothes or the actual uniform of the school, he ties around his neck an ebony leather collar with a studded jewel in front, an amethyst to cite his birth month.
