Firstly, the parts are not totally unique, just the total.
When I sit down to do tarot, I don't ask a question. When I'm struck with the impression that I'm supposed to do it, I just sit down and start shuffling. Then, I spread the cards out so I can see them all. I wait for each one to give me an impression before picking it, that way I don't have to leave it all up to chance of shuffle, I can let intuition take hold and pull the most accurate ones out for me. This is how I lay them.

1 - Who am I, and what my situation in life is at present?
2 - What path or decisions led me to my present?
3 - What is going to motivate my progression into the future?
4 - On what path does my future lay currently?
5 - What alternate path, be it threatening or promising, is available?
6 - What determines which path (which card 4 or 5) will be taken?
This method works wonders for me as far as learning how to grow and where my deficits are. xd Thought I'd share.
