Biography: Originally born with the name Ciarla Daenissa, the girl now known as Ciara Karnstein was 'born' after the use of an extensive ritual by the woman Carmilla, also called Mircalla, the Countess Karnstein. Originally created as the replacement for Carmilla's beloved Laura, Ciara rejected this role, and was instead placed in the role of dutiful daughter.

Ciara's actual youth was stunted by the fact that her body halted its growth around the age of 16, leaving her perpetually young, and in some ways, perpetually angry. Absent or in deep slumber for most of the world's history, her largest interaction with anyone or anything came first with her interactions with Cathal Saga, something that eventually led to her placing herself in Mahora Academy as a prefect under the orders of Headmaster Konoe.

Most of her history is unknown, and currently, still a work in progress as she writes her own biography as a work of historical fiction. It is known that during the year 1944 she was present in the United States for quite some time, preferring to stay out of the conflict with Germany entirely.

Personality: Bright and smiling, with a radiance of spirit that hides a very dark secret, Ciara is a girl who keeps her outlook as positive as possible, though she can't help but be a serious sort of individual. Not one for practical jokes, she has a more solemn outlook on life. She is passionate, though it is mostly repressed, and expressed through other means, usually cooking, or fencing, sometimes writing, though very rarely.

When you dig down to the heart of her, or ask her opinion, Ciara tells you that she finds herself too blunt, and a little abrasive, though she thinks she means well. Her personality is as varied as anyone elses, truthfully.

Weapon: Ciara, when forced into combat that requires a weapon, uses a black bull whip approximately 10 feet long. She's learned over the many years of her life to strike a candle from a flame without ever touching it, so precise is her skill. Aside from the whip, she uses a fencing rapier with a curved hook at the tip. She is proficient with both, using either as the need arrives. Neither weapon is 'named' as she feels that betrays the weapons, which she believes only speak their names to her heart.

Other: Because of how she was turned into a Vampire, Ciara is a vampire who feeds not on blood, but on Magic. Because of this, it is almost impossible to use magic around her, as she herself is considered one half of her artifact, sucking up the magic of spells when cast on her. This requires her to actually focus, or attempt to drain away the spell.

Ciara, with her age, has learned a number of different languages. Among those are Gaelic, English, Slavic, French, Romanian and more recently, Japanese.

Appearance: Ciara stands at a whopping 5'8, tall for a woman in asian lands, because of her heritage. Not a frail girl by any means, she has pale skin, and silvery hair. Though her hair was once upon a time black, her change into a vampire caused a change of coloring. She tends toward netural colors, sometimes reds and purples aside from the basic black, white, and gray. When not in her prefect uniform, she is wearing a long sleeved white shirt, and black jeans.

Abilities: As a half-vampire, she possesses some, but not all capabilities of a standard vampire. Enhanced speed and strength, as well as fast regeneration. Weapons such as swords and guns deal damage, though it is minimal, without being enchanted, or empowered to slay vampires. She is also devoid of the usual weakness to sunlight, though she chronically complains that it hurts her eyes.

Type of magic: Blood - This particular type of magic is limited to a very select number of spells and abilities, and requires blood to actually be spilled in order to activate. A fully detailed list of spells and abilities is forthcoming.

Artifact: Sacred Beads - Wrapped around one hand and wrist are a set of beads that were given to her in her youth. These beads are used as a whip when extended, that when it strikes an opponent, it blocks the natural ki flows of their body, suppressing their ki. Ciara does not have a magic nullifying weapon, as she can do that quite naturally, absorbing spells of varying size and strength with relative ease.
