Welcome to one of the newest rps in the guild! 3nodding I'm here to give you an introduction to this new story. xd
Ever wondered what kinds of adventures a pirate would go on? What do the pirates do in their spare time? How far would they travel? Do they ever fall in love? What kinds of treasures do they search for? Is there ever a limit to what they do?
Well..Now we'll find out. These pirates are different from the ones you would hear in normal piratey tales. These ones sing and play music! What could their music possibly do to help them? Are they really pirates if they do something so civil? They're pirates alright! Their music is how they get around and how they battle. Music is the dream of these pirates.
The pirates battle eachother on the waters and lands all in search of a way to keep their music alive.

The Myth:
Once upon a time there was a poor widowed woman who lived on the edge of the sea. She was frail and crippled. Her six sons left her for a life of their own. Each one took a different path.
The oldest, Lirit, wanted adventure and to explore other seas. The second oldest, Kaydence, was tired of seeing the ocean waters, so he moved inland and formed his own way of life. The third oldest, Jam, was an easy going fellow who didnt mind traveling on land or sea. He decided to travel from place to place. Then came the twins, Philyra and Timila, they liked working together and collecting things of any value. They left their mother in search of land and sea that gave them an abundance of the objects they wanted and needed. The youngest of these boys was Tamber, Tamber always had a mind of his own, having tempers that lead to him doing something unlike everyone else. He did have an interest in tales that his two twin brothers would always tell him. Taking those myths, he went off to sea in search of the treasures that waited for him.
The old woman was left alone now, no one to care for her, or play any music for her, like her sons once did. Morning in her old age, an angel came to her proclaiming a miracle that was to happen to her. The angel claimed that the old woman would bear a daughter, given to her by the god she worshiped. Taking careful heed of the warnings the angel spoke of about the consequences of not following the given instructions, the old woman gladly accepted the gift.
The old woman did all that she was told. She did not go and tell her sons that she was bearing a daughter, or that anything was amiss. Each day the old woman would hum tunes and sing melodies like the angel instructed. Within a few months time, the daughter was born! She was a very beautiful girl and grew up to be fairer than any young daughter in the world. She had a most beautiful and elegant voice that hit every pitch and scale in a song perfectly. She lived with her croned mother until her mother died. When that day came, the daughter, who was previously named Harmony, lived by herself until the day came when all the brothers came in search of their mother to tell her of their adventures.
The sons found the beautiful woman there and soon all fought to become her husband, not knowing of their relations. Unfortunately, the angel came and blinded the sons for a split moment so that the angel could take Harmony away to a far off island that was never discovered, where she would live in peace and away from her brothers forever.
But that wasnt what Harmony wanted. She wanted to be with her brothers and tell them who she was and live with them united as a family. But the angel warned Harmony of the dangers of being with her brothers. She was told that her brothers would soon kill her if only one could not have her. Harmony cried at the news and lay hidden for years.
Some say she married the angel who came to her frequently, and bore daughters who were part angelic, causing Harmony's decendants to inherit Harmony's musical trait. Others say that if a decendent of Harmony was found out at sea, that if that decendent married the leader of one of the present day captains, then that clan would flourish and reign higher and more powerful and prosperous than all the others.
The Story:
Presently those who reside on the planet of Dreama have heard this folktale for generations upon generations. Unknowingly to those who dont believe in the tale, the pirate clan leaders were decendents of the six brothers in the tale, who made their bands and went in search of this mysterious missing family member.
The pirates all have either abbandoned the folktale for a false legend and live their lives as they wish and feel is right, and other pirates took it upon themselves to keep searching for the island where this angelic maiden lives and take her and reunite all the clans and be as one. This is where we start, the beginnings of a new age of pirates and their search for the lost musical maiden.

Lirit is a hardcore musical pirate group who shed more blood than musical chords. The Lirit pirates find themselves as one of the top pirate clans that the Kaydence clan wishes to destroy, luckily they're hard to track down. These pirates come from the Southern Sea regions.
§:Kaydence:§
Kaydence is a clan of Mainland Lords and Ladies who have taken it upon themselves to stop the musical streams of the other five pirate clans. They play traditional instruments like the piano, harpsichord, organ, violin, harp, lute, and a few others. Searching to stop the entire pirate legend. They travel everywhere, in search of their targets.

Jam is a very well known pirate group who circle their music around the jazz and blues genre of music. They're nomads and are mostly on good terms with the mainlanders. They entertain the royal courts and the people in the towns and villages. They are found nearly everywhere.

Philyra is a pirate clan made up of mostly stringed players. They and their sister clan Timila pass myths and legends about ways on how to save the pirate clans from total destruction. Unfortunately no one has taken their word for centuries about their tales. They can be found around the Northern Sea Regions.

Timila is a pirate clan made up of mostly bass and horn players. These pirates have been known for their loud blasting music and brilliant tunes. These pirates have a commical side to them. They joke around and get paid for their over abundant supplies from the other pirate clans. They reside in the Tropical Sea regions.

Tamber is a sect of pirates who broke off from the Philyra and Timila clans. They formed their own bands and play all sorts of instruments, from: flutes, guitars, pipes, fiddles, Eucalelies (sp?), Harmonicas, and tamboreens. They move from the Western Sea regions to the Eastern Sea regions.

The one thing they were against was Lili's fascination with music, saying that music was meant for entertainers and lowly people. One time when Lili was on a trip with her parents, she was taking a walk when she came across a member of the Philyra clan. They got to talking, and Lili joined the clan, leaving on a ship just two days later. Of course, her parents knew nothing about it. Other: (I might add something later...) Biography: Yiceliona was part of a nomadic group since her birth, the group being unwanted in most places because of their "questionable" backgrounds. Because she is part shade, she was stuck in this way of life from the start. However, the human side of her is dominant most of the time, she is just made stronger and more resourceful through the Shade blood that runs through her body. [[I read the announcement that it had started, and was worried that I might have missed 2 whole days of it, but it seems as if my worries had no ground... I suppose I'll start. MD, you'll have to tell me later if you want me to assign text colors to my characters or not. I just went ahead and did it anyways. smile Sorry for the long post, it wont always be like this, just getting them in, you know.]]
Yiceliona skipped around the dock, flitting in and out of the little crowds around merchant's stalls. Her less than faithful follower, Ali, was watching from her perch on a few crates, bemused by all the activity, her tail flicking back and forth as she watched. Yiceliona paused a moment to look at a particularly shiny apple offered on one of the stalls. She glanced around, the merchant who manned this stall was busy arguing with some other customer. Yiceliona smiled slyly as she gracefully swept the bright red apple, and a few others, into her wide sleeves, and continued on her way, skipping now out to the town, to find a nice spot to sit and enjoy her new find. Ali, sensing the cue immediately, jumped from her perch and followed silently, weaving through the moving feet as expetly as Yiceliona had swiped the apples.
Yiceliona was already settled on a nice barrel, sitting comfortably, by the time the small cat arrived. Yiceliona took the first bite into the bright apple, breaking the skin smoothly, and then balanced it on the tip of her fingers while she chewed.
"I suppose I should go back and check in," Yiceliona sighed, "I don't want to drive him even crazier. He already distrusts me." Ali meowed quietly and then began cleaning her fur.
The man Yiceliona refered to was one of her fellow pirates, strange how easily Yicel had shifted from her old life to this one. He was assigned to watch after her when the captain could no longer bear her around. Yiceliona smirked, Just got in and already stirring up trouble. The ship was in port now, just gathering some food and supplies, before it set off again.
Absentmindedly Yiceliona tossed aside the core of the once beautiful apple to make room in her hands for something else. A small round object, painted to look like a shell, with four holes of slightly differing sizes. Her ocarina. The one reason she had been accepted in the group, the one reason she was permitted to stay despite the constant annoyance she caused among the crew. Or atleast, the cover reason. She could play fairly well, sure, and it did help that she was the only one of the crew wth this particular type of ocarina, but the real reason she was accepted was because of her voice. She had sung for the captain, as a last resort. He was immediately bewitched by her voice, spellbound almost. Yiceliona wasnt quite sure, but she had noticed some time back that her voice had a bewitching, almost seducing quality to it whenever she sang. It worked most effectively on men, she could bend them to her every will with just a few notes. But she had found it to be true to women, just not nearly as potent.
So that was how she was accepted. The captain had fallen under her "spell", and agreed to take her on. But once she stopped singing, he broke free. She was nothing but a nusance to him now, and Yiceliona knew it, as well as the rest of the crew. But for some reason, he could not let her go. Perhaps a lingering effect of my singing? Yiceliona wondered as she played a few notes on her ocarina, not connected to any song.
Yiceliona sighed, putting her ocarina back in the little pocket that housed it, and then stood up, motioning for Ali to follow. It was time she get back on the ship to rest his nerves. Resuming her former easy-going attitude, and keeping the stolen apples carefully tucked into her sleeve, Yiceliona began to skip back to where the ship was, tied prisoner to the dock, with the soft footfalls of her cat close behind her.

"Miss, erm, Yuella Lili?" A small, timid voice, somewhere from behind, startled her from her trance. Yuella Lili frowned, would they ever get her name right? It seemed like such a simple thing to her, ella with a U in the front. But these pirates kept saying her name like it was a slurred version of the color yellow.
"Please, call me Lili." Yuella Lili smiled kindly, despite the minor irritation she felt at her name being mispronounced yet again. The boy seemed instantly relieved, something as common as "Lilly" was much easier to handle.
"Miss Lili," Still, the "Miss" was tacked on, when would Lili get used to it? "the captain was inquiring of your health."
Lili smiled faintly as the ship made a faintly detectable turn and her stomach lurched from within her. She was not fairing well on the sea, but that did not break her determination. She would not, under any circumstances, go back to her mother and father, she enjoyed her newfound freedom much too much to forfiet it so soon. But, Lili was beginning to better control herself, she was able to keep food down most of the time now, and was starting to look much less green. But still, the captain was concerned about her. How kind She thought, to be concerned about me.
"Tell him I am doing much better, thank you. I just needed to get used to it." Lili smiled again, flashing her brilliant white teeth. The boy nodded and bounded off again to go find the captain.
It was all moving so fast, this rapid change. Just a week ago she was the daughter of one of the most wealthy men in Calandra. Now she was on a pirate ship, her musical talent earning her a living. This life was still so foreign to her, but Lili told herself yet again that once she was used to the movement under her feet and could walk around the deck then she would quickly learn her new life. Or atleast, that was what she hoped.

Jamil stared blankly ahead at the gently rolling water, unaware of the worn and slightly faded map beside him, only barely acknowledging the paper and pencil still scratching away. He reached the end of a long set of equations and looked down, checking through what he had just written. Of course, he could easily do this all in his head, but some of the other crew were already suspicious of him, and appearing to randomly be pulling numbers from the air would not do better to ease the tensions. The ship depended on him for safety, guidance, direction. Jamil shrugged it off, he would rather be doing something else. But it seemed as if this was the only way he could be useful for now. So he had agreed to be the ships navigator.
"Ahem." A carefully dressed man behind him, his clothing choice showing meticulous attention to every detail, nothing out of place or missing. The former navigator, who had miscalculated more than once and was extremely jealous of Jamil for taking his place, had taken it upon himself to make sure that Jamil was in line.
Checking his equation against the map one last time, Jamil handed the paper to the man, saying as he did, "Eight-point-seven degrees to the west for twenty-four kilometers, then tree-point-one degrees to the north for eleven kilometers." He said everything flat, evenly, with not the slightest hint of emotion in his voice or his face.
The man carefully read over the equation, checked it with the map, once, twice, a third time. Jamil knew already that the man had no talent or gift with numbers, he had simply put up with his presence to help ease the transition somehow. The man was to get off the ship at the next stop, to not get back on again, captain's orders. Jamil had already proved himself to be far more competent at this job.
"Here, miscalulation." The man pointed an accusing finger at the sheet of paper.
"Accounting for the current. The water and the wind are both stronger there, and the crew could use a bit of rest, don't you agree? This makes it easier for everyone." Jamil answered, just as smoothely as before, trying to keep his already thin patience from abandoning him altogether.
The man had nothing more to say, it seemed. Jamil was right, and he knew it. He huffed away, mumbling something about predicting the weather on his way to go sulk. Jamil felt a small twinge of sympathy for the man, he was, after all, on his way out of a job. And all because of me. Still, Jamil couldn't help but smirk a bit as folded up his paper and the borrowed map and placed them carefully into his shirt pocket along with the two pens that were already there.

"Laran chai!" She heard, turning abruptly, her red hair swaying lightly in the wind. "What is it now?" she asked, almost laughing. "Don't tell me you miss me already?" She asked. She had her flute in her hand. It was decorated with unique carvings, painted her favorite color, blood red. She couldn't figure out why she loved blood red, it just intrigued her, the actual sight of blood made her worry. She saw the child nod a little bit, grasping her pure white dress, obstructing it, wrinkling it in his tiny fingers. "I'll be back, eventually, I just need an adventure...and my captain just accepted me, it's my first time being on a ship, I'll tell you all about it when I get back." She said, kissing his forehead. "I'll play one more song for you." She whispered, raising her flute to her mouth. A soft, sweet, happy tune came whirring around them, and when it ended, she patted his head, grabbing her bags. "I promise I'll be bak." She said, stepping on the boat that was ready to set sail. She saw another member, another female of the ship, Yicelona, and waved to her. The ship was about to set sail, and she'd never been more excited. One more person that she knew of was supposed to get on, a guy...She thought his name was Jaron.

Kairo woke up, he remembered the waves of the ship. He rolled lazily out of bed, why hadn't anyone woken him up? He let a groan as he stood up easily. He took a guess at the time, he was late to wake up, either way. He knew the navigator was working on a docking point. Why was he feeling so sea-sick? He'd been at sea most of his life with the captain. His accent was only slightly altered to be more like the captain's, and much of the crew's...only slightly. 'We're landing there...Wait, is the plan changed?' he thought, coming out of the cabin part of the ship. He immediately began doing his job...cleaningthe ship. Sure, it wasn't the best chore that was assigned, everyone took turns on it. Right now, it was his turn. He did it viligantly. Whence he finished, he found the piano, it was bolted to the ground of the ship so it didn't roll around and bounce off the wall for it to be ruined, he sat down, and began to play, closing his eyes as he did so.

Yiceliona waved back to one of the other members, Laran chai, and flashed her huge impish grin. Finally, the ship was ready to sail, they were just waiting on one more person...
Jamil smiled ever so faintly as he saw the crew struggling to get the ship to go the direction he had indicated. Yes, it was a little bit different than had originally planned, there was news of a bad storm in the route they had originally intended to go, so with a few simple adjustments, Jamil had set in place a new route.

((=O Sorry guys! I got caught up in house cleaning. XD ))
Carmine Venu draggedd her feet across the planks as she boarded the Royale Symphony. Slightly looking around, Carmine took notes on the places of each rope, pole, sail, and bucket on the ship. Walking around slowly, as if on tour, she opened doors and explored the interior of the ship. Bringing herself once more onto the main deck, she looked for the man who was to be one of her so claimed 'partners' on this voyage out to sea. 'Where is this man..name Jamil..?' She thought.
Laurelin Merridy was in the crows nest looking around at the different people in the port. "Wow! Such an amazing place, eh Yuuki?" Laurelin was talking to her pet crane. "Hmm..Looks like our dear friend Yuella Lili of Calandra might want some decent company..want to come?" Merridy asked as she began to descend the rope latter down to the main deck. Yuuki flew down ahead of her, landing gracefully upon the wooden floor.
Jaron Mavis was running as fast as he could possibly run. 'Gah! I slept in late! Not only that, I had to pay a big fine for my stay..which drained all of my savings to even live around here..' Sighing, Jaron kept running until he spotted the ship he was to board, still in the harbor. With a renewed burst of speed, Jaron jostled through the crowds of travelers, crewmen, and other people as he neared the ship. "Now..where did i put that list..?" He searched his bag quickly as he ran up the gainplank, past Yiceliona and Laran. Stopping for breath, he stood on deck, and found the list he was looking for. "Got it." He smiled for once and searched the names. "It looks like I'm not the only one being accepted onto this ship.."

Jamil sighed as he stared out to the water, his face still void of emotion. He was struggling to keep his temper under control as the former navigator took it upon himself to tell Jamil every little thing he was doing wrong. Jamil couldn't bear it anymore, his mouth twitched as an outburst was smothered before it could be said. It was something he had trouble with, control of his temper. Something he planned to work on.
Yuella Lili ran her hand across the smooth wood of the ship as she walked slowly among one side. Her mind was elsewhere, her eyes saw something far away. She continued in this way for quite some time, walking back and forth.
Startled, Yiceliona fell back a few steps as Jaron nearly ran into her. "Hey! Watch where you're going!" She called out, her impish smile fading. Ali's hair had bristled, and she was presently occupied with meowing lowly in Jaron's direction.
