Sorbete sprawled out on the grass next to the four bags containing her precious children, humming a tune only she was familiar with. Every now and then she would lift a paw to rub her now-empty stomach, recalling how silly she looked just a few days ago. She was fairly satisfied now, for what more could a Foundling want in her life than a family? A family with one for whom her love outshone the mid-day sun, no less. Turning over on her side to curve her body around the beautiful bags, their ribbons glimmering as the sun glistened down upon them, she waited for Chaos.

Chaos quickened his pace slightly, eager to get home to his family. He hated being away from them for to long. Once he reached the crest of the last hill to travel, he gazed down into the grassy valley and saw his beloved and their adorable children. He raced down the hill, a large smile on his face. When he arrived, he hugged each of his children in turn and then gave a big hug to his Love. "Hello Dear!" He said happily, smiling widely.

"Chaos!" Sorbete's voice was light, delighted to see her lover. "I still can't believe it!" Her laugh nearly a slight chime of small bells, she grazed her paw along the tops of the little pouches aligned in a circle on the grass. "And I just can't wait until they all emerge! What beauties they'll be!"
She thought ahead to the near future, when her children would run freely. Her imagination painted a magnificent picture of her and Chaos observing as the young Foundlings grew and shaped their personalities.

Chaos smiled at Sorbete. He loved her laugh, it was beautiful. He gazed upon the pouches, with their vibrant ribbons, and he imagined how their little foundlings looked like, be like, sound like. He sighed happily, looking forward to the day their children would emerge from the bags and run about, being rambunctious little foundlings..
"They'll be gorgeous Dear!" He exclaimed to his love. Chaos was excited about being a father. A little scared, but mostly just absolutely ecstatic.

A bag shifted. Once. Twice. It was wiggling all over the place! Sorbete gasped as the other three began to stir far more frequently, the strings loosening. The overjoyed mother's eyes widened in anticipation, moving closer still to Chaos.
Emily, the first born, was the first to emerge. She pushed a hesitant tiny paw through the top, felt around, and pushed her body up towards the crisp breeze of fresh air. The little Foundling gave her own tiny gasp as she took in her surroundings. There were three other bags squirming around her and two figures directly ahead of her --her parents?; close, but not close enough. Feeling an intense need to reach them, touch them, she pushed once again, towards them. The bag that still surrounded her toppled over on its side and the youngling began her first adventure; meeting the other members of her own blood.

Chaos gasped quietly at the sight of the wriggling bags! "Oh my! They're emerging!" He exclaimed, lightly hugging Sorbete while watching the wriggling bags. He saw their first-born emerge from her bag and his whole face lit up, a huge smile on his face.
Eclipse blinked her eyes inside of her bag. She wriggled her nose to the top of the bag, pushing up and out. She blinked rapidly once again, her eyes adjusting to the unfamiliar brightness of the outside. Once her vision cleared, she looked about, admiring the colors and smells, the feel of the breeze on her face. Then she noticed another kit and to adult foundlings, which she assumed was her sibling and her parents. She smiled excitedly, ready to meet her parents and other siblings! She and the bag toppled over as she attempted to leave her bag behind. She righted herself quickly and began the (albeit short) journey to meet her parents.

With a clumsy series of zigzagged movements, Edison came into the world tail first. It was an odd start for the little one, but sure enough he managed to topple out of his bag and take in the vibrant atmosphere that surrounded him. He blinked his chartreuse orbs wide and tilted his fuzzy head, unsure of what to do or where to go. However, a glance towards the figures in the near distance quelled his curiousity and instinctively led his tiny feet towards the beings.

Sorbete lifted a paw to her mouth as three of the four bags opened up to reveal her children, a delighted gasp emerging once more. She gave Chaos another hug, then pulling away to greet the little ones.
Emily, her enthusiasm growing, eyes lit up, began a light pace to her parents. Obviously, her limbs weren't strong enough yet and she crumbled down a few steps before the towering figures of her parents. She gave a surprised "nya" as she fell, finding herself landing on a soft, warm surface. Her mother was careful enough to catch the young girl before her first "boo boo" had a chance to occur. Emily gave Sorbete a white, small-toothed grin and a purr.

Chaos gave a sweet smile as he witnessed his little kittens emerge from their bags and toddle towards him and Sorbete.
Eclipse, happy to be free of her bag, bounded over to her parents. Well, tried to anyway.. It was more like she stumbled over. But she greeted her parents at last with a smile and a small "Mew" of happiness as she rubbed against her parents.

Trailing somewhat behind his eager sisters (mainly because his limbs simply refused to properly cooperate), Edison was more than relieved to feel the soft fur of his mother’s ankles and the reassuring sturdiness his father offered in means of supporting his unsteady form. Eventually, the spotted youngster shakily planted himself between his parents and tilted his head back and upwards to stare at them cutely, smiling.

Proud as she could ever be, Sorbete picked up each and every one of her kits and gave them a hug. She then set them down between herself and Chaos, beaming brighter than the sun, "I'm so happy, Chaos..."
Emily couldn't help but chirp out a giggle when her mother scooped them up into her arms. All of them, pressed together, she felt the blood-bond. These were her siblings and parents, they had to be. Set down between her mother and father, she gazed up at them with her wide purple eyes, only to cross her eyes at the feel of the white strand of hair that fell into her face.

Edison had squirmed slightly in the affectionate hold, considering both of his cheeks were smooshed between his sisters’, and shook from the tips of his ears to the tip of his tail when he was set back down. This action, of course, caused the kit to topple over on his side, where he laid for a few moments, blinking. It was nice on the grass at this angle. So much, in fact, that he began to roll in the green strands until he smelled like them.

Chaos smiled, the happiest he had ever been. He rumpled each of his kit's hair in turn, lovingly smiling at them, almost to ecstatic to speak. He looked down to his kitten's shining faces, they're eyes shining so bright. He turned to Sorbete with a smile. "I couldn't be any happier my love..." He said, giving her a squeeze and smiling at the kits in front of him.
Eclipse laughed happily, looking about at her siblings. She smiled at them, sensing the bonds that brought them together as family. She also looked up at her parents and smiled, her bright blue eyes glimmering in the sunlight. Everything was so pretty around her, so many bright colors! She played with the grass around her, batting it gently with her paws.

A worried expression crossed Sorbete's lit up features as her second-born toppled over. She traced her paw over his body, rumpling his turf of hair when she got to his head, "are you alright, sweetheart?"
Emily took in the surroundings from this perspective also, then observed each of her siblings. The green boy seemed to be a bit off while her dark purple sister was happily batting at the grass. With a playful smirk and a mispronounced growl, the lime green Foundling leapt a step towards Eclipse, batting at her ear just before plopping down with a confused expression.

In response to the attention he had begun to receive, Edison looked into the concerned face of his mother and nodded, vaguely aware of what she meant. He rather liked the sound of her voice, having heard it while he was still within the folds of his bag. Playfully, he swatted at his maternal guardian’s paw, attempting to nibble at her fuzzy digits when they neared his tiny mouth.
