Much like Big Ben is in London, this enormous tower stands tall above the village, almost as tall as The Tower of Darkness and Light, which stands at the opposite side of the village. This tower has four clocks, one at the top of each wall. The faces of these clocks glow with an eery pale light. Also, the chime released from the tower every hour on the hour sounds exactly the same each time... except for the one that toles at midnight. This particular chime sounds more like a horrified scream. When that sound leaves the tower, the surface of the Lake of Lost Souls glows briefly. When the twelth chime stops, the lake returns to normal. This is one of the mysteries of Kagegakure. Some say the "Phantom of Kagegakure" Konkori, Kurotsume got his nickname because he hangs around here a lot; the phantom of the clock tower.

Kurotsume emerged from the shadow of the roof overhang looming over one of the giant clock faces. He dropped down and sat on the top of the face itself, which protruded slightly from the rest of the tower. His ears popped from the high altitude. He faked to yawn and the pain went away. He then looked up into the darkened shadow and waited for Phoenix.

Phoenix seemingly flew through the shadow, did a flip and landed standing horizontal on the wall below. He opened up a window and walked into a vacant room in the tower. Phoenix looked really scared for some odd reason as he plopped himself down on the floor and laid on his back.

Kuro let himself drop down the side of the almost mile-high tower and caught himself on one of the clock's massive hands. He swung into the oen window Phoenix had and sat L Style in the window sil. "You okay?" he asked ernestly.

Phoenix shivered at the thought of Kazuki getting him before he jumped into the portal. "Kazuki almost pilled drived me in the ground about 8 feet. Remind me to steer clear of her for a while." Phoenix still looked a little mortified at Kazuki's ditch effort to pummel him into the ground.

Kuro crossed his arms. He'd only spoken to Kazuki a few times. Her temper was almost as short as Kaoru's and she was really powerful. She was also a rarity; she's the only documented Chikarasu in history with six wings. "That would have sucked if she caught you. In my condition, I couldn't help either." Kuro had an occasionally desire to fight Kazuki, but not immediately after he had a near-death match with Phoenix.

Phoenix nodded in agreement with that comment. "She is really scary when it involves her friends and them nearing there deaths. The fact that we almost killed each other is a fact she would get even more pissed then when it just involves a friend and an enemy. She would of killed more or at least incapacitated me with her first strike. She is a monster sometimes damn tom girl." Phoenix seemed to blush which was not a usual thing for him when he talked about Kazuki. Something must of changed when his personalities fused together back to there original state.

That blush hadn't missed Kuro's eye. He snickered. "Got a thing for your teammate Phoenix?" Though he said this in a rideculing manner, he couldn't blame the guy. Kazuki was all right. She had a good head on her shoulders, and she would obviously fight with and for anyone she cared about. Her tomboy attitude kept most people from messing with her in the first place. Kuro liked girls who were shy like Bianca was, but for somebody like Phoenix, yep, Kazuki was perfect.

Phoenix just looked away shyly and looked like he was pouting. "Oh shut up. At least I didn't try to screw my dead girlfriend when she was resurrected in the past." Phoenix then realized he hit a sore spot with that one. "Sorry dude, that was uncalled for but you seriously need to move on." Phoenix said in an apologetic way showing he meant that. "And so what if I have a thing for my teammate, you should go after Yuzuki. She would fit you. Your both hard working, very job oriented and hate it when people aren't doing what they are suppose to be doing." Phoenix said with a snicker trying to get a raise out of Kuro.

"Yeah, we seem like we'd be good for each other. But I just haven't found anyone who can fill the hole Bianca left y'know? It's complicated. Love's an emotion no amount of studying can begin to understand." Not to say Kuro hadn't tried finding someone else. But nobody seemed to do it for him. His standards weren't high either; as long as she was the shy type, appearence didn't matter much. Long hair helped though, and if she was endowed, he hit the jackpot. Said jackpot was Bianca, which meant she would be hard to top. "And for your information" he said a little annoyed. "A good-bye kiss doesn't count as trying to have sex with her. I'm just glad I got that sick b*****d Madara back for making me go through that s**t again."

Phoenix shrugged it off. He was watching the battle and by his view, he looked like he was trying to get in her pants one final time. "Whatever you say man. By what I saw, you were trying to get in her pants. Oh well, I will never understand girls though, especially Kazuki. She is a raving fangirl at times, protective or just wants to kill me at times. I swear I don't get what I see in her." Phoenix couldn't understand it. It was like he was just attached to her and couldn't get his feelings off of her. It was weird to him.

"Well, just be thankful Kyouran doesn't try setting you up on blind dates. I let Envy set me up once, and I wound up going to the Lake of Lost Souls with Kaoru. I was about ready to kill him." Now that he thought of it, that was the one time he and Kaoru could actually agree on something. Then again, Envy wasn't the only one who told Kuro he should date Kaoru, but he didn't see that happening. The thought of it just didn't sit right with him.

Phoenix remembered a time when Kyouran did something. "No he did do something one time. It was the time Kazuki became all fangirl. He told me to go to some place and meet a chick. It turned out to be Kazuki. Naturally, I'm usually nice to girls so I was a gentlemen and it went off nicely since we were already then and Kyouran knew it. I came back and nearly killed him. She started to become all clingy after that." Phoenix looked angry. He doesn't like her when she is all clingy. He likes her company when she is normal.

Kuro nodded. "Well don't get me wrong. Kaoru does have SOME good traits. For example, we met a few times as little kids..." He smirked. "And she certainly has grown up in all the right places." But that was lust talking, not love. As far as that was concerned, there were hardly any girls in the village that Kuro would even consider dating.

Phoenix looked at him. "You know that you can get a girl friend in an allied village and date her. You said you had to get a girl in Kage. Try being like Shika and Temari." Phoenix didn't get why people had to date people in there own village when there are allied villages. It was really confusing to him.
