Maskin Island
Maskin is a very industrialized island. It thrives on technology. Most of it is covered in vast cities, the Capital being Tractus. However, there are still a few patches here and there that are still green, but how long they will remain so is very much in question. The native race, the Vitrellans, dominate the population here, mainly because most other life forms find the atmosphere less than pleasant. A decently heavy smog fills the skies, remnant from old technology that poisoned the air and waters that immediately surround Maskin. Efforts have been made to clean the place up, but it still hasn't quite reached an eco-friendly state of being yet. The smog is known to have affected some of the other wildlife in a negative manner, so be wary when traveling through unmarked territory. You never know what kind of mutated beast you'll run into.
The Vitrellans do not believe in "royalty". Instead, they have a group of selected leaders that they call The Core, which act as a sort of board to make all of the island's political decisions.
