He followed closely behind Rio as they went down the hallway, with Jun'ichi and Haruka at the back of the group. As she opened the next door, Hifumi clenched his teeth, ready to strike again if needed, but he relaxed when the door opened to an empty set of offices. Meeting the others' eye, they all piled into the room; after a while, all they found were irrelevant homework assignments.
Moving to the next room, they stumbled into a small library with, thankfully, no threats or enemies. Curiously, Hifumi scanned the row of books with idle interest, though when Rio pointed out something about the author of the books. [color=#6A4850]"[b]Kotaro... The texts keep mentioning him, I think...[/b]"[/color] He answered Rio's inquiry, his pondering quickly interrupted with Jun'ichi coming back to the group with a couple of curious items in tow.
Hifumi raised an eyebrow at the assortment of items Jun'ichi laid out on a nearby table. He glossed over the cash in favor of picking up the bottle to cure some kind of paralysis. [color=#6A4850]"[b]I'll grab it.[/b]"[/color] He offered, swiping the bottle and his share of the cash as well. He pocketed both items, shrugging when Rio asked if the cash was real. At the end of the day, Hifumi was not strapped for money after all.
As they moved to the next room, Hifumi could pick up some sounds past the next door. Peering into the window of the next room, he could definitely see [i]something[/i] moving inside. [color=#DC999A]HOLD YOUR FEAR, LEST YOU WILL DISAPPOINT ME,[/color] That booming voice in his head came back again, and Hifumi shook his head with a frown. Still, Belial's words helped quell some of the tension on his shoulders. Clenching his fists by his side, Hifumi readied himself as they opened the door.
A horse-like creature charged at their group, quickly setting its sights on Jun'ichi. Before he could react, Rio landed an ice attack that made the creature whine in pain. Finding an opening, Hifumi launched his own Agi attack, although it missed as the shadow sidestepped in order to run at Jun'ichi again.
[color=#6A4850]"[b]Watch out![/b]"[/color] Hifumi yelled, gritting his teeth as he couldn't make it in time to launch another attack so soon. Rio reached Jun'ichi in time, although she ended up taking the brunt of the creature's attack. He saw Haruka attempt to strike at the being, but he ended up missing as well.
Rio tried to counterattack while protecting Jun'ichi, who hunched over in pain amidst the chaos. The attack missed, but it gave Hifumi enough time to ready another attack. [color=#6A4850]"[b]Agi![/b]"[/color] Hifumi launched another fire projectile at the wild horse shadow, hitting it before it could attack the two again.
A bright light emanated from where Jun'ichi and Rio were, blinding him momentarily. When the light settled, he grinned at Jun'ichi's new attire, invigorated to gain a new ally in the mix. While Jun'ichi protected Rio from any more harm, he nodded at Rio's signal to attack. With the unicorn creature distracted, Hifumi sidestepped closer and called upon his persona once more. [color=#6A4850]"[b]And again, Belial. Agi![/b]"[/color] He yelled, firing out another fire projectile that made the shadow screech wildly before disappearing in a sea of flames.
He released a loud sigh when the dust settled, craning his neck to look over the group. Hifumi politely looked away to the sound of Jun'ichi vomiting all over the floor, though it sounded like Rio took care of him. [color=#6A4850]"[b]Honestly, it's a normal reaction.[/b]"[/color] He added when Jun'ichi was done spilling his guts all over the floor.
As Rio praised him, he couldn't help but sweep a hand through his hair, giving her a star-studded smile, [color=#6A4850]"[b]I am an actor after all, Rio-chan.[/b]"[/color] He chuckled; in truth, Hifumi still had a hard time wrapping his mind around everything, but he had to at least [i]act[/i] like he had it all together. If he didn't, they would not get anywhere at all in this strange world.
He patted Haruka's shoulder, hoping to console him even a little bit amidst Rio's mild scolding. [color=#6A4850]"[b]Just... take it easy. Don't let those kind of thoughts hold you back, especially in such a dangerous place like this.[/b]"[/color]
He nodded over to the remaining doors, [color=#6A4850]"[b]I don't think I can attack with my persona much longer. Let's be cautious of the next rooms.[/b]"[/color] [/size][/color] [/list][/list]
