The Nigth was hot as hell. Everything was sticking. The heartbeat of the big apple pulsed along, much as it had for the past century.
Lucas took the turn on traction avenue, and into Brooklyn. He walked along, eyes peeled. He'd learned that he had a knack for attracting trouble. And he wondered vaguely if there would be any tonight. He sort of hoped so, in an odd way.
