I've been wondering this for a long while and I thought this guild the most appropriate to ask.
Would you, the fellowship of this guild, actually watch an television show or movie or play a game where the protagonist was a young woman and the bulk of the show/movie/game's story involved the protagonist's ongoing quest to rescue her (female) love interest?
I ask this because while the big, strong hero rescuing his damsel has been done to death, I wonder, if anyone tried to do it differently, would people actually watch and support it?

Heh it would depend on how it was done for me. I'd like more shoujo ai/yuri media with a bit more action in it.

Just being girl x girl actually makes it interesting.
But the action has to be good....REEEEAAALLLYYY good, and throw in a little magic in too and companions (demons, humans, whatever...but I prefer demons), a few dirtbags to slay, and let's not forget the EPIC final battle against your rival/nemesis.
yeah...that be great despite the cliche.

Zena Warrior Princess came pretty close to what you think of as a Heroine but she isn't trying to save her lover like you suggested. I loved that show so I would support this idea so long as they stuck true to the story idea. If they did then they would have a fan forever heart
