I'm looking to make some bags and I was wondering if anyone knows of a rigid plastic shape that could be sewn/fused into the lining of the bag to give it firm, sharp corners on the inside. I'm trying to do some searching online, but I'm not coming up with what I need.

Any ideas? Does what I'm thinking of exist or will I need to make my own?

Hey Anlina. ^_^

I've been trying to think of something, but failed. emo

I know I've seen purses with little metal corners, but I have no clue what those things are called. If you wanted to do the whole bottom, you could use a thin piece of plastic. I'm not sure what they're called (or what they're for really), but I know I've seen sheets of thin plastic at the craft store before. Oooh! I think they're for making custom stencils, actually. Don't know how easy that's be to sew through though. Or you could use that plastic mesh kinda stuff. I think it's made for little kids to weave yarn through... That would be easy enough to hand sew in place and is fairly rigid.

Plastic canvas maybe, since it's already got holes in it you could sew it to the bag pretty easily, you'd probably want to put some fabric over it too though so stuff didn't get stuck in it.

Not sure if it would actually work, but that's what I came up with when I thought about it.
