I've had my Xbox 360 over two years. in the first year didn't have xbox live because Xbox live wasn't compatible with my isp, even though xbox support said they where. And when i finally got online it was ok. so after 1 year and 3 months my gold ran out but the following problems are the reason I'm not going to renew:
1.The abuse I get is unreal, I've play on pc and psn games and I don't get anywhere near the abuse i get when i play on xbox live
2.Americans. When i play on the psn it's normally in a European server and against other European i have the connection speed to host about 8 players. and because most the player i play against on xbox live are American it makes the game lag.
3.RROD. I have two gold account on my xbox. and when my Xbox got RROD it took them 1 month and 1 week to fix it, which was way to long. but they gave me a months free xbox live. but that doesn't even cover one gold account for the amount of time it was away
4.£35. I don't understand what i am paying for. since most pc game I've play online are free and so is the psn, why do i have to pay to play on xbox live

there are more publishers and developers based in Europe, than in America. And no-one here really care about paying more for a games, because Europe is now the biggest gaming market. what i was complaining about was the psn has dedicated European servers and the ability to only show other European gamers, rather than xbox live which has not dedicated servers or filter system.

I know what you mean about the abuse. Most Xbox gamers are assholes that are WAY too concerned about pummeling you into the ground than having fun.
