My cake's on fire!
Exactly how old do you think that lake is? Not like it matters- Nimue doesn't look a day over fifteen.
I wear:
Fins. Duh.
But if you must know, pants would have gone over them (if it wasn't so damned difficult).

Let's bang!
Neither one over the other...
If you think about it, that answer could easily double as liking both.

This makes me shoot rainbow beams:
- His lake (not your lake, not the humans' lake, not any other spirits' lake. His lake)
- Fish friends (not food)
- When it rains
- Being agile in the water
- Water plants (both for decoration and for eating)

This makes me barf my sushi:
- Sushi (or eating fish in general.)
- Pollution, in his lake
- Things that don't belong in his lake
- Dams
- Humans, as they are 99.9% of the cause of the four dislikes above
- Going onto land
- Droughts
- Humans who think they know how to swim
- Cats, birds of prey, ect; anything that will try to invade his areas for their own interest.

My doctor says:
Nimue is one of the more cooler-headed spirits, usually not minding what goes on onshore. Trees could be cut down, fires could burn down the whole forest, Nimue could care less what goes on out of his home. However, as soon as something sets foot into his lake, Nimue’s careless attitude makes a total 180°. His smile will become a scowl if he, the spirit of Lake Espirt, is defiled in any way. Nimue is extremely territorial, and refers to the lake as ‘his’. The spirit doesn’t tolerate humans touching, dirtying, or taking from his water, and most of the other spirits are looked upon under the same light (with the exception of the Rain Spirit because he controls how much water is given and taken from the lake via rain storms).
If I was a story:
As old as the lake itself, Nimue was created at the exact same time the body of water was. He lived in the water as a flowing spirit for many years (ignoring the Rain Spirit by staying towards the opposite side of the lake), content because his form allowed him to move agley. Nimune found comfort in sticking around the lake-dwelling creatures, and figured he didn’t have the need to ever bring himself to see what was happening on land. The spirit was peachy keen with his life as a current of water, unaware of the rapid changes just above the surface.

When the first humans with intentions of harming his waters stepped foot in, Nimue wasn’t exactly sure how to react. The humans couldn’t see him- in fact, they barely acknowledged his presence or how to preserve the waters! Humans continued to push their way into Nimue’s flowing body, taking from him his various goods and leaving their trash in return. For years this process repeated, then grew and worsened when more human settlements arrived. For years Nimune allowed himself to be stepped upon ending up in making his lake suffer. He fought back by making the land flood, but that was mostly ignored. It was all in one day’s rising temper when he decided to change himself as well.

Using half of the fish in his waters and half of the humans out of the water as a model, Nimue sculpted a body. There was no way Nimue was going to give up the ease of swimming by making himself ugly human legs, but opposable thumbs, and eyes in front of his face were always a plus. Lips were good, too, as it would allow him to communicate with the humans so he could tell them to get the hell out.

That plan didn’t go so well. Nimue lured one of the calmer females away into the water so he could try to speak with her… However, the woman didn’t know how to swim, and ended up drowning. Enraged humans labeled Nimue as a monster and told their children to keep away, all the while continuing to do what they pleased to the water.

With his one attempt to try to work things out peacefully with them failed, Nimue decided to try a more surefire way to get the message through their heads; aggression. At one point the spirit tried to drag himself out on the land to attack newcomers. That didn’t turn out well at all. He moved slowly and clumsily -like an oversized caterpillar- on land. Not only did this make him look foolish, but it also made himself a prone target to attack. Not wanting himself to be such an open target on land, Nimue gave himself a set of human legs to use if he ever had the need to come out of the water. The spirit greatly does not enjoy doing so (and feels clumsy with feet instead of fins). Nimue prefers the waters to the shore any day, but will go out if the time calls to defend his territory.

I wanna rock and roll all night:
Say it Ain't So- Weezer
Mirror mirror on the wall:
Nimue has webbing in between his fingers and -when he has human legs- between his toes . There's a patch of scales on his forehead, but that seems to serve no purpose.
