Many millions of years ago a race of alien life forms began a mission. Their home planet was destroyed, leaving them to find a new, habitable planet. During the search they found several, but some of them had intelligent life on them.
They vowed to protect the inhabitants of these planets if anything was to happen to them and set up small teams on each. These teams hid, secretly observing to see if any type of disaster was going to strike. When one planet was threatened, they would reveal themselves and offer the people the chance to come with them and survive on another planet.
Over the millennium, many different races gathered on a single planet, but it was getting too small. So they went out in search of more. When they found them, they placed many teleportation devices on the surface that connected the worlds together.
This system of planets, now called the Dahg System, contains 28 planets that are home to over 30 different species.
Our story takes place right after the planet Earth was devastated by a massive solar flare. The aliens predicted it and tried to save some of the people. Many people refused to believe them, but some went. Those who stayed died when the flare came, but the ones who went were taken in as members of the Dahg System.

MAJOR PLANETS
Out of the 28 planets, there are five that are considered the most important.
1)
This planet is the capital. All of the main leaders gather here for the meetings
2)
This planet is holds the main population. The entire thing is set up like one massive city.
3)
This planets is covered entirely by water, with no continents. There are thousands of islands dotted throughout the surface. This is where many people go for vacations, though there are a few people that do own homes here.

Races:
There are over 30 races that live in this system, but here are just a few. Feel free to make one up if you want to. These are just suggestions.
Humans:
Grays: They were the race who began this system, all those years ago. They are capable of telepathy.
Anthros: Antrhos are not a natural race. They were created by the Grays while they were hiding on Earth. When humans were abducted, they would take some of their DNA and combined it with the DNA of many different kinds of Earth's animals. They were found to be sentient, and given citizenship in the Dahg System.
Illithids: These rubbery-skinned, tentacle-faced humanoids are very strange. While do not need to do this to survive, they are capable of eating the brains of other intelligence creatures in order to gain more information.

TECHNOLOGY:
Cloned Body Parts: Instead of creating artificial replacements for body parts that become useless, they are capable of cloning that work even better.
Neural Translators: Small micro-chips that are placed inside everyone's heads. They translate the words of the languages of the Dahg System so that people can understand everyone. Although, many people do try to learn other languages, so they don't have to rely on the chips.
Planet Links: The Planet Links are massive teleportation circles that make travel between the planets (who are many light years apart) very quick and easy.
