My corps is a very new corps,we are slowly learning the ropes of how to run a good solid corps that does well together.
One problem we have is fundraising,all of our events (Dining-in,Mil. Ball,and Awards night.) are held at the same venue,on the same day of the week, beause we cant afford a better venue. (different dates,but still)
So what i was wondering is what some of your corps's do for fundraising. How do you make the money for all that fancy shmancy stuff that you have?
Give me some of your ideas,we can bounce them off each other. Sound good?

my brigade does all kinds of things. like at my school we work snack bars for all sorts of sporting events and we make a lot of money off of that! besides that we do the normal stuff like car washes, bake sales, and all that stuff. you guys could even try for sponsors.

If you have a car wash at Walmart, they'll match whatever you've earned. We don't charge the people, just whatever we get tipped. Last year we earned around $800 from it.
The Fundraiser we get the most profit from though is: COOKIE DOUGH! It sells amazingly, and the company we work with is great, if the shipments come in bad, like maybe some out of dates, they'll either give us the money back for it or give a replacement.

Our school is doing lots of stuff, We are doing shake-a-can in front of stores. (Where you stand outside a store and ask people for donations.) We host open mic nights at our school. All the proceeds go to us. We host our own drill comp in which we have raffles and sell over priced homemade food. This year we are thinking of doing a Halloween party open to the whole school and maybe host a carnival (got to spend money to make money.) Beyond that, our battalion was established many years ago so that means we have lots of BDU's and now we are making a transition to ACU's so we are going to go to a flea market and sell them for 25 dollars a pop during spring-summer and $30 in fall-winter. Last year we sold teddy bears too, that didn't go as well as we planned but we still did make money off it. Thats all I've got, hope it helps.

thanks alot you guys.
now i need to raise money specifically for my color guard.
ugh.
im thinking equipment insurence,sort of like lab fees in chemistry and what not...
but yeah. thanks again,anymore would be helpful as well!

This might be a little lot late, but I hope it'll help anyway~
- Bake sales
- Selling candies
- Movie night
- Raffles
- Car wash
- Sell discount cards - The ones they make us sell in my battalion are usually ones that have to do with restaurants or fast food places
- Make cadets pay for stuff if they lose it, like ribbons
- Have events, like a talent show or a band, and sell tickets for it
I can't think of any more, but I hope it'll help! :3
