GUILD RULES

arrow Threadmaking: Go ahead. Make whatever threads you want. We ARE a community. Just keep it PG-13 (no inappropriate pictures, cybering, you get the point.) If we think something is inappropriate, we will remove it.

arrow While discussion threads, and random threads, are awesome, please don't spam the guild with threads made just to get gold. Bump threads, threads made for the polls, things like that, are examples of spam.

arrow Being abusive to guildmembers is not cool. Friendly teasing, where both participants are cool with it, is fine. If you aren't cool with something someone says, say so.

arrow Please participate as much as possible.

arrow Anything said in this guild that sounds private (stories of psychosis, self-injury, etc) is not to be repeated elsewhere. The guild is a safe place to talk about these things.

arrow Check to make sure you're not making a duplicate thread. It makes life easier for the mods.

arrow Invite whoever you think would be interested.

Please post suggestions for rules in this thread, and your reasons. I'll read them, evaluate them, add them if reasonable, and most likely delete your suggestion post to keep the thread clear. I'm leaving it unlocked for now.

RULES FOR MODERATORS

arrow When you go to quote a post, please make sure you are quoting it and not editing it. We understand it's easy to make a mistake, and accidents do happen. If you edit a post by accident, please fix it.

arrow Stickies: Stickies are for important threads. Please only sticky threads you feel should stay at the top. If a thread is stickied that doesn't need to be, it will be unstickied. Too many stickies defeats the purpose.

arrow Announcements: If you feel you need to make your thread an announcement, please clear it with Demon or Hershey first, for the time being. Announcements are to be used sparingly.

arrow Invite users: If there is someone you want to invite that you think would be interested, use the moderator panel to invite them. Then, they won't have to go through the approval process.

arrow Banning users: If you feel that a user is out of control and should be banned, present your case to the rest of the moderators. If a majority of the mods agree, the user can be banned. This policy is intended to avoid mod powertrips.

arrow Deleting posts: If a user asks you to delete their own post, go ahead. If you'd like to delete your posts, go ahead. If you feel a post is inappropriate, edit it (see next post for procedure.)

arrow Mods on powertrips (it happens sometimes) will be given a warning. If the powertrip continues, you will be restored to regular status. Modhood may or may not be restored.

(Damn, I sound formal. :gonkage:

Post Editing Procedure

If there is a massively inappropriate post, please do the following.

inappropriate post
Stop it you whiny little emo kid, if you feel that bad then tough s**t. Go play in traffic.

good edit
Post removed for the following reasons: abuse, suicide encouragement.

Edit by [moderator's username]

This avoids powertrips and lets members know what's off-limits, and why their post was edit-deleted.
