My son was three at the time. It was just the two of us home that evening. My husband had to work late. John, my son, was very sick. He had been in and out of the hospital the past week or so.
John was layng down on the couch. He had a slight fever still. I asked him if he wanted the tv on. "No Mommy, my brain hurts." John use to call his headaches brain aches. Was quite cute. I left the tv off and went to tuck him on on the couch. "Its too hot Mommy. I dont want the blankets." He replied. "Ok baby. Its right by your toes if you want it," I told him as I uncovered him. I gave him a kiss then went into the kitchen to start working on the dishes while he rested.
Next to the couch John was laying on was a lay-z-boy facing west toward the tv. His couch faced north. The the was on an entertianment center with picturesand other nick nacks on it. In the center of our liing room was a coffee table.
The living room connected to the bedrooms thru a wall way on the west wall. The east wall had a grand enterance to the dinning room and kitchen. The east wall was also made up of duel access cabinets and a counter. These were connected at the grand opening with a small wall that ran parellel with the couch.
I heard a noise! I grabbed a hand towel, dried my hands, and began to come around into the living room. When looking thru the opening between the cabinets I thought I saw something get out of the lay-z-boy. Once I came thru to the living room I saw John was still sound asleep. But wait! Who is that? I saw someone walking down the hall way. But as a watched the figure begain to disappear right before my eyes. He looked back at John, then at me, then...was gone.
I ran over to John. Nothing seemed to be wrong. If anything he was better. He fever was gone, he was no longer sweating.
As took a moment to comprehend what had just happened, I noticed things were a lil odd in this room. The lay-z-boy still had a slight rock to it, as if someone was sitting in it just a moment ago. John was covered with his blanket. And a picture of my husband's grandparents was proped up on the coffee table. As I pick up the picture to put it back in its rightful spot, I take a glance at it. It was then that I realized that was the man walking down my hall way. I now knew that we had angel from the heavens looking out for us.
The End.
To this day, I still catch him watching over our two wonderful boys!

COnsider yourself at the very least doubly blessed. In that firstly you saw the 'spirit being' and secondly that your son was healed by it. I myself have never seen a spirit, at least not as far as I am aware of smile

Sometimes I worry that I may have what they call, "the sixth sence". It seems I have a habit of seeing the unseen. I have story after story I can popst of my incounters. I am thankful these, but sometimes I wish they were of the unliving I truly wish to incounter, like my father.

Thank you for sharing. It is an inspiring story. One of faith. It can be hard sometimes to share with others of what you know you have seen. But you have been Blessed.

I am thankful these, but sometimes I wish they were of the unliving I truly wish to incounter, like my father. I know how you frrl, because ever since my heart stopped in basic training, I have seen things that I normally would have put in movies alone. Instead of running from it though, me, my wife, my brother-in-law, and his wife all go out in search of the paranormal. It sounds stupid, and vary rarely find anything, its worth the frustration when we do.

My husband I have debated on doing such things ourself, but when you come acros the paranromal things that are up to no good can scare you senseless. I have seen and bad things happen. We have debated on doing evp readings in some of the places where we have had siteings, but I refused to. You never kknow hthey will react to such things and I dont want to have to deal again with such things. I will be writing more shortly on other experiences I have had...Wow! kinda mumbled my way thru this popsting...lol.

That was a wonderful story! smile I also believe that spirits watch over us. Last year I was in the bathroom washing my hands when I heard a voice in my ear saying "Watch your daughter!" My mom and my brother were asleep, so I didn't know who said it. Good thing I listened because I caught my daughter trying to sneak out the front door.

the increase in spiritual encounters is due to the veil thinning
there are some metaphysical and spiritualists who claim that our planet is going through a transformation. And the increase of spirit encounters and psychic ability awareness is due to this
