 The weather was perfect. The sun shone brightly, reflecting off of the calm blue ocean as the sound of the slight waves crashing against the sandy shore echoed through the still jungle, catching the attentive ear of a minty green foundling.
Sorbete's ear twitched as she caught the distant sound. She smiled to herself, tilting her head up to admire the cloudless blue sky through the dense canopy. Her senses had pulled her to this particular jungle this morning and she, trusting them entirely, eagerly trod down to the beach. After gazing up into the vast blue nothingness for what seemed like hours, she spotted a white, billowy cloud creep into the view. She let out a satisfied sigh and turned back to her surroundings. Then reality hit her. Hard. "Where am I," she whispered into the motionless atmosphere.

Chaos was strolling along the beach, deep in thought. He usually walked along this beach because it was calm and there were rarely other foundlings here, making it an excellent place to collect his thoughts.
Today seemed no different as he looked upon the small waves threatening to wet his paws. He walked farther down the beach, oblivious to his surroundings. After several moments, he noticed a minty green foundling standing on the beach, looking slightly puzzled. Chaos trotted over to the foundling with a smile on his face. "Hello there!" He said in a friendly tone. "What brings you out here on this lovely day?"

Sorbete, taken by surprise, jumped slightly at the sound of another's voice. Restoring her poise, she turned and looked the other foundling over. His colors certainly appeared strange for someone to be found at a beach. He stood out and he was sincerely friendly so she decided it was alright to confront him. "Well," She returned his smile, "It might sound silly, but what lead me here today was my curious sense of direction." Laughing lightly at her own actions, she sat down, the smile glued to her face.

Chaos let out a small laugh. "Well it seems your sense of direction has led you well. This is where I go to do all my thinking." He smiled and sat down across from the minty green foundling. "It's all very peaceful isn't it?" he said as he gestured to the calm, blue ocean and the almost cloudless blue sky. He sat staring at the ocean for a few moments before realizing he was daydreaming. He turned to Sorbete with a sheepish smile. "Sorry about that," he said, embarrassed, "I'm a bit of a 'dreamer' some say. By the way, I didn't catch your name." He said with a smile. "My name's Chaos!"

"Sorbete," she replied simply, somehow this foundling's vibrant colors seemed out of place not only in this setting, but on his pelt in general. He seemed to be calm and kind whilst his fur suggested otherwise. "I'm a bit of a dreamer myself, and this place is like a dream," she giggled at how silly she must've sounded.

"Nice to meet you Sorbete!" He smiled, admiring her fur. "Your name really suits you. It's very pretty!" He blushed lightly before continuing. "My name doesn't really suit me very well," he sighed. "According to my name and fur, I should be wild and crazy. But that life never suited me well, I'd much rather listen to the ocean than run around wildly." He blushed again, realizing he's spilling his life story to this poor girl. "I'm sorry! I tend to ramble on about things sometimes." He said apologetically to Sorbete.

Sorbete blushed at his compliment, "Thank you." She laughed lightly at his shy demeanor, more out of his unpredictable actions than ridicule. "Rambling's fine with me. You'll be the one annoyed if you decide to employ my company," she looked him over once more, "your name certainly fits your colors, though! And going about looking for delightful, isolated beaches like so," she smiled and gestured toward the water, "takes a bit of courage and a healthy sense of adventure! And adventure is not dull! It's bright and colorful, like your pelt."

Chaos blushed pink. No one had ever called him adventurous before. "Thank you." He smiled sincerely at Sorbete. "And I doubt I would be annoyed!" he exclaimed, "Someone as sweet as you couldn't possibly be annoying." He said with a sweet smile playing on his face. "I, on the other hand, may inadvertently annoy you with my thoughts and rambles, should you choose to employ my company. He said shyly, hoping Sorbete would like to stay a bit longer.

"Oh, stop that!" Sorbete couldn't help but smile at Chaos' shyness. "Apparently we're both annoying, so we should get along, right?" She gave him another smile accompanied by a wink, "anyways... What should be do now? I mean, it's a wonderful day, and I met you. So far my day is excellent. Let's do something fun to make it better still!"

Chaos blushed pink. "That's sounds good!" He exclaimed happily, glad to have company. "What do you do for fun?" he asked, "I usually just take walks along the beach." He said softly, embarrassed that he was boring. "I've never really explored the jungle though, now that I think about it." He said, looking over to the bright, lush green jungle.

"That'd be fun! I mean...Us exploring the jungle together! Having you there will make it so much better! You'll scare off all the little critters with your colors!" Sorbete said the latter bit jokingly, following his gaze to the jungle. "Hm.. What do I do for fun?" She mused, looking up til the treetops of the jungle touched the sky, "I guess... Explore! Like we're going to do now!"

Chaos's eyes brightened at the thought of exploring with Sorbete. "That's that then!" He smiled at her. He was very excited to have someone to talk to. "Let's be off!" He exclaimed, walking towards the unknown jungle.

Sorbete followed after Chaos happily with a light bounce in her step. The jungle secreted most of the sun's rays and had a fresh, damp smell to it. "How far do you want to go? I heard there's quite some dangerous stuff if you go deep enough! I don't care, really, because this jungle in its whole is interesting to me."

"D-Dangerous stuff?" Chaos said slowly, losing his brave demeanor for a moment before recovering. He let out a small cough to try and cover up jis moment of fear. "Well, I'm not afraid of any dangerous stuff," He said, none to convincingly, "So lets just go where we please with no worries!" He exclaimed. Chaos wanted to be a brave foundling for Sorbete. He didn't want her to know about his healthy fear of the unknown. With that said, he continued to walk through the underbrush, taking in all of the interesting sights of this unknown jungle.

"I'll be right alongside you, don't worry!" Sorbete smiled softly, noticing the slight change in Chaos' features. She made a great new friend and she certainly wasn't going to let something that lurks in the deep dark forest eat him up! She closed the small gap between them, her fur brushing along his with each step, "this way we'll know when we lose one another!"
