A "Breeding" is a theoretical combination of genetics based of a "pet"s appearance to produce a number of offspring that will "grow" with time.

Here, I will try to not only explain the different parental variations, but any special requirements they may have as well.

A Male/Female Adult Pair
-Each parent should have spent some time RP'ing together and apart, with at least one post offering reason for the pregnancy to take place. Clan bonuses may apply. Please see Nation descriptions for details.

Same Gendered Adult Pair
For natural reasons, their genetics may not directly mix as females do not have sperm, and males are not capable of giving birth. For this option, we ask that a surrogate donor of the missing part be found. Find a female and have both males mate with her, or find a male and have one or both females produce offspring from him. Well, you get the idea.

Single Parent
This one is available for any female, or a male who would like to find a group of abandoned babies from a missing or dead mother. There has to be reason. This option is not for everyone, as a good bit of RP to explain the single parent before hand (or a good reason included in the breeding form) is required.

Adolescents
There is a penalty for this group. As they are young and not fully developed, any adolescent mother will produce 0-2 kips.

Is there the possibility of mutations?
Yes. There is an option when signing up for a breeding which may allow for color or other genetic mutations to occur.

What Kinds of Mutations?
We're not telling! It's fully up to the artist. There's a chance nothing will show at all.

Albinos?!? But... wouldn't they all look the same?!?!
Due to a desire not to have identical pets of the same gender, an albino is treated as a light cream color pet with splashes of white. They still earn the trademark red/pink eyes, however. There is a 1 in 200 chance of producing an albino kip.

Why can single mothers have kips, but not single fathers?
This was decided logically, due to natural reproductive systems and animal behavior. There is a chance for there to be a single father if you can think up an acceptable way --- such as adoption, though we highly suggest adopting an already existing babe.

Can two of my own pets breed?
Yes! We do require that both pets have had some roleplay time with those owned by other people, and you will still have to write a short story explaining why/how they're having babies. Remember that the owner of each parent involved may only keep one baby. In this situation, as you own both, you may only keep one total (not one for each).

My pet belongs in a surrogate or polygamist Ramus situation. How many kips do we keep? Who gets them?
Owners of the parents should have this figured out to some degree before the breeding.
