Takashi yawned. He stretched his paws out and closed his eyes. He was bored. Not just run of the mill bored but Saturday afternoon bored! He looked up at the sun over head, it was such a good day, but lying around in the sun all afternoon wasn’t his style. He say up, twirling his tail. He needed mischief. So taking it upon himself he set out off the patio of home and out towards the road in front. He walked away from town, along the Cliffside it seemed like forever! He winded and hopped as he walked a path he didn’t usually take. He was usually lazier than this to scale down the cliff side.

He walked and pattered and just as he was about to give up he spotted his prey, a butterfly. He hunched down in the dirt. He was probably easy to see, his blue fur on the rich red of the cliff side was an easy spot to see, but he stayed motionless. Hoping the butterfly would see him as a blue rock…he inched closer. The butterfly fluttered and went off just as he moved. Apparently there are not blue rocks. He scowled and chased the fluttering bug, pawing at it when he could reach it. It was smart though, this butterfly disappeared into the sky. Takashi stuck his tongue out at his defeater.

He started to turn around when he heard the sound of water. His ears twitched and he listened closely. It had been months since he had seen the ocean, he looked around noticing the butterfly had lead him off track quite a ways. The dirt under his paws from the cliff was replaced with green grass and he sprung through a bush to law his eyes on the ocean water. He missed the ocean and took a deep breath of it. Like Kalie he very much loved the water. He played in the sand and relaxed with it between his paws, he rolled like a kid. Relaxed and rejuvenated from his walk, he decided he better get home, he was hungry and pretty far from home. He licked his lips thinking of what he wanted when he got home. He wouldn’t forget how to get to this place again!
