I must say, my quest has come along way...
I've met many great people here on Gaia, those from which I wouldnt mind meeting someday in the real world. Hope some of you feel the same way.
A bit off topic, but I feel like expressing myself as random as it may seem, maybe someone will read this and sort of understand what I'm typing here. (I'm not crazy LOL)
Being in Iraq didnt change me in a way I thought it would, most would return home with some type of trauma, sickness or fear, but I myself believe I have matured mentally through that year of pain, bloodshed and tears . I now understand much more than meets the eye, the bigger picture. Why somethings are done the way they are, why peace will be the hardest task to achieve. Things will only get worse, the pain mankind has put on this planet is reaching its limit. And we will attain for our sins whether you believe in a god or not. I may still be at a very young age and not accomplished much in my life, but I feel as if that year there was meant to happen. I was meant to see these peoples feelings, their pain, their anger and their hatred. I did not take it as a burden, but as a warning. Never take anything for granted. Each day is yet another stepping stone to your future. You hold every card in the deck of your life, noone else can deal them out but yourself. Lose some of those cards and you may miss out on an experience or lesson to learn from.
Live life to the fullest. Never hurt the ones you truly love and care about. When they are gone you will realize how much you really cared about them and it will be too late.
For I have always told myself I will always defend my family, I will always defend my country, and I will always defend my pride and honor. These are the things engraved in my mind. I am reminded each and everyday. I just felt like expressing to you guys if any of you read this anyway.
