biggrin Hello dear dragon friends,
this is a new thread in which we can discuss books we like or don't like.

arrow The book I am reading right now is called "Chistovik - The Final Draft" (Russian original title) written by Sergey Lukyanenko and it is about a man travelling between different universes.

There are a lot of books I read over and over again. One that I referance a lot on Gaia is Mythology: Myths, Legends and Fantasies.

Yes, I noticed that. wink I do not know that much about myths, just know the stuff from Lord of the Rings about Elves, Dwarves and so on.

By the way, I finished the book Chistovik. It can really be recommended. It is full of action, philosophy, humour and it's serious, too. Just great. I think I will read the book series "World of Watches" by the same author.

What genre are the books you like the most? Fantasy?

Yeah. I enjoyed Lord of the Rings. Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy was good to. Then there is the Twilight series. I also am halfway through the rough draft of a book I'm actually writing.

Oh, I love the Hitchhiker's Guide! I read all of them. What book is it that you're writing?

It is essentially a guy named Jason is magically transported back in time and in order to not screw up the time line is sent to a parallel reality where magic is common. Jason is given the task of retrieving a powerful book that may or may not hold the key to returning him to his own time. As the story unfolds, Jason learns that this seemingly foreign world is more connected to his (and our) world than he thought.

[praise]The plot is very good with many surprises and it's a lot about humans' minds and motives to do certain things. I guess that is because the author studied psychology. The magic in the book is impressing but not exaggerated. The story is sometimes funny and then very sad again but never boring. I love it! [/praise]

I just finished rereading Twilight and I am currently reading a book called Parallel Mythology. Parallel Mythology is a comparative look a various beliefs that I find very interesting.
