Aina was a progressive metal group, formed for the creation of the album 'Days of Rising Doom, The Metal Opera' in 2003. They used metal artists from all over the world and all sorts of different styles in order to make that album... about 30 artists in all, some more well known than others.
The cd itself follows a fantasy story of the kingdom of Aina, and several events which it is in the center of, including the death of it's king, his son's ascention, their conflicts with their enemies (the Krakhon) and other such things.
The vocals are crucial to this piece, as it is a metal OPERA, but of course, being a METAL opera, it's got some fairly heavy moments as well. The story is good, and the music is epic, and I highly recommend at least listening to it.
