Accept was a German heavy metal band that started in 1976. They were from 1996-2004 in which they were inactive, then they came back for a year or so.
Neeways, they were a speed/teutonic thrash metal band and helped in the creation of those subgenres.
The band line-up changed a lot, about 15-20 people were in the band at one point or another, but the band name never changed... which is somethin'.
I'm not going to give a full discography or anything, unless it's requested, but I will say my favorite song by them was 'Metal Heart', from the album 'Metal Heart'. heart
