Ask the Admins is tonight I believe. Just a reminder biggrin
I'm thinking we'll need a few people to copy all the questions we come up with, and when the next Ask The Admins comes up, whoever gets there first posts them. That way we don't have one person assigned to do it, and they can't for some reason and it all falls to bits.
So who's up for it? Can be anyone and pretty much everyone that wants too. We just need backup smile
Questions to consider: (Want to add questions just list them in a post)
- When you update the site, why do you have to change the appearance as well?
- Is the preview of the new Gaia landing what it's really gonna look like?
- Will the Mail icon ever come back?
- What do you think about people leaving Gaia to Solia(other sites) because they feel like the New People are being considered more then older people?
- Are hacked/glitched accounts actually looked into?
-What happened to the older eye colors there used to be?
- Is it possible that you could put a poll up in the next announcement about the layout changes to see what everyone really thinks?
- Where has the Anime part of Gaia has gone?
- Is there a way to disable the sunset/sunrise so it doesn't lag people with older computers or slower connections.?
-Why is it when I put the option "appear offline too all" People can still see that I'm online? Whether it be via friend's list...ect...
- Has it been considered when you block someone to make it so they can't see your profile or posts at all?
- Would there ever be away to block someone's IP from viewing your profile, so even if they make new accounts, they still can't harass you 'cause it's their computer that's blocked?

Personally I would love if someone could ask if they could add a way to disable the sunset/sunrise so it doesn't lag people with older computers or slower connections.
(I'd just feel odd posting in there....)

My best friend actually asked it last week, she's on the same ISP as me. However her question was answered by a user who suggested she disable all of the images on her browser which wouldn't work for ether of us since she's a B/C shop owner... I'm hoping if it's asked again Lanzer may actually see it. The AtA should be the same place and time every week... which means they shoulda had it this week... oi this is what happens when my days get messed up (*started taking a college class this week for the first time in over a year*) Edit: Should have been, was not... I'm not sure how often their running them now.

Well, like always, the thread isn't Ask the USERS, it's Ask the Admins. Stupid people I swear...the next time they attack anyone, even those who aren't in the guild, I'm reporting them.
I'd say those questions are about right. They aren't as harsh and more planned out. I might ask something similar to that but add other questions, like about the manga and Locke and such (since I really like the story line up until recently-Is that really Lanzer in that 21-22nd issue?) That way, if I get flamed or quoted on only one question, it means that the wannabe mods are out purposely trying to dispose of all the protesters.
So yeah, in a nutshell, I am going again.

On Mondays always? But it was Labor Day in the US soooo..maybe he took a vacation-ness or something? Just as long as he's somewhat alive, well, meh...
By then, I should have some graphics and design layouts done so...*crosses fingers* let's hope I won't get shot down.

I just hope that Lanzer does get on for next Monday. I would like to see if he would answer some of the questions about the "new image" it seems that Gaia is taking. It might even be interesting to see if we can get Fin to show up on Monday as well to answer some of the questions we may have. Even though it doesn't seem Fin answers questions directly. But that might just be me.

Here's the reply from Lanzer to the questions. Thanks to Valerie Vomit for posting them. Lanzer Change might or might not always be a good thing, but we always try to improve, and we can't improve unless we're open to the idea of changes. We can only hope that changes made the site easier to use. We had a mock up that's up to collect opinion, I think there are a lot of alterations to come for that one actually. Mail icon in the header should always be there I think. With more than half our team working on features for existing members, we're working the best that we can to make Gaia better. I'm hoping that very soon we can make a much better community environment that will make older users very happy. Yes, we resolve hundreds of hacked accounts every week. The amount of hours we spent to resolve hacking incidents are actually really daunting. To your suggestion, yes we'll be setting up more polls. Anime look is always part of Gaia, from the manga update, events, stores, our avatars, we would be in big trouble if we're trying not to look anime. :O We are trying to go for a layout that focus more on community and friends, the differences don't lean towards less or more anime, at least it's not what we're trying. I'm trying to stick with answering about 3 questions per person, hope I have answered most of your concerns. The rest I assure you we're tackling also. 3nodding
