Thats right folks, 6 episodes of pure awesomeness... In order to spark conversation I think picking an anime that most people have seen would be the best option. 6 episodes, prolly one of the shortest lived anime of it's kind... and well, wish there was more. No plot until episode 5, no real point, until episode 5, and most importantly... pure randomness... until episode 5. LOL! See a trend here? This show was just so fun and cute but for some reason... my ex hated it (she was stupid *ahem*) Anyways... Sooo, this show really had no point. Guitars and robots come out of a boy's head. Then also the love interest was hot, and so was the school girl (sorry I don't like typing names) But, the whole point was to find the power of the Pirate King... A Gibson Guitar I believe (Haven't seen it in about 3 years... help me out guys)
My questions for you
I know cliche... but THIS SHOW ROCKS RIGHT?!?!??!?!
*ahem* Okay... immaturity aside. Randomness is awesome, however do you agree or disagree with the lack of plot that was in here? Seriously.. I am stumped to find anything other than this.
Also, "Breast Fondling" as Furi Kuri translates into, was definitely sexually oriented. Do you think that took away from the show or made it more interesting?
Lastly, do you think this show should have been longer?

First Yes! this show rocks!!!

although i would have watched more episodes if there were any i think it was the right number for what it was.

Sound Of A Girl Hatching First Yes! this show rocks!!! second this show was one bug innuendo... think about it Breast fondling was just the cherry on the pervert ice cream cake. although i would have watched more episodes if there were any i think it was the right number for what it was. I totally feel where you are coming from... Borat the Movie... and Aqua Teen Hunger Force... I rest my case.. This show really did seem to impact just right with the number of episodes... It would have just kicked at a dead horse in my opinion...

I like FLCL but it confused the crap out of me. I think it could have gotten longer. Maybe they could have talked more about where the girl (don't know her name) was from for more of a back story.

hachi_ ateyou I like FLCL but it confused the crap out of me. I think it could have gotten longer. Maybe they could have talked more about where the girl (don't know her name) was from for more of a back story. Haruko.. that is her name... However, the thing I would almost assume with this anime is that it DOESN'T make any sense, hence why the number of episodes. Maybe this show was only designed to only be random and not really have a plot. (The plot was non-existent)

(The plot was non-existent) See, that's the part that got me. I didn't understand any of it. First the kid got run over by a chick on a yellow vespa, then he's got a pimple the size of a basketball, then he's pulling an electric guitar out of his forehead and battling some mecha whatever, then the girl is ******** the dad.... wtf?! none of it made sense to me, so I didn't really get into it too much. Plus i hadn't really gotten into the pattern of staying up till the wee hours of the morning, so i'd be falling asleep watching it and it'd just seem like another one of my ******** up dreams.

The same thing happens in BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo. As long as you only watch it for the face value, you will understand it perfectly.

hehe FLCL was alright, but... I didn't like it in English. Not sure why... but when I watched it again later in Japanese I really enjoyed it... On the whole though I got into Excel Saga so much more wink The English dub of that is a thing of beauty. It's actually funnier to me dubbed than in original Japanese. Now thats truly an otaku's gag anime. I mean seriously o,0 Why do we have no thread for Excel Saga, and its blond heroine Excel Excel, first name Excel, last name Excel, or just Excel for short? 0,o However, I dug the guitar prominence in FLCL series. Haruko actually has a bass guitar, a Rickenbacker to be exact. But... the god-like pirate king's weapon of choice is a guitar. Hey, guitars are power. And of course one of the ultimate weapons in the final battle was a flying V. As it should be. But it should have been a Dean Razorback V. wink

Sephirob hehe FLCL was alright, but... I didn't like it in English. Not sure why... but when I watched it again later in Japanese I really enjoyed it... I think my friend Otto had a picture of that up in his bathroom. but that was back when he worked for Sam Ash. He had lots of pictures from books about guitars up in his bathroom. It felt weird to have all these famous rockstars staring at me while I peed. Maesenko My advice to you: don't look for a plot, and you will see it. The same thing happens in BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo. As long as you only watch it for the face value, you will understand it perfectly. isn't that the one where he fights monsters with his nosehair? I think I'll skip that one. The name sounds really retarded anyways.
