In case you have been comatose for the last two years, Spore is the latest in a long line of games by Maxis. The guys behind the Sims. But Spore takes this to a whole other level. You basically start with a single celled organism, and build it to a creature, to a tribe, to a city, to a galaxy. All of this is produced using procedural animation. Which means that your creature is given a set of movement, attack, feeding, mating, and dancing animations based on what it looks like and what body parts it has! Sweet! Video proof!
