[Umm…hi] Shawn || Riley || Porter

[. . . . .] Shawn, Riley, Ry. [Stupid face!] Porter, Porker, Fatty, Fatso, Potty, Shawnnie, Ryan, Portrait.

[Be nice…] Shy, stupid, fat (xD), emotional, useless, unteachable. [You don‘t know everything] Shy, smart, hard-working, focused, clumsy. A good friend.

[Are you stupid?] I‘m a boy! [And I don‘t] like anyone! Gross!

[I was called into] Hufflepuff last year.

[I don‘t want to tell you] I‘m born February 24 [or that] I‘m at Pisces [at age] 12.

[Back again] for my second year.

[My parents] are Lucy and Spencer Porter. [but I guess] that I‘m a half-blood?

[I cast with] a wand that is 8 ½ [inches long, made of] Holly [wood to protect me from evil, with a core of] Abgal feathers; feathers of a guardian.

User Image[Help me!] Come, my good friend the armadillo!

[I keep] a pet rat [named] Ray

[I‘m not very] good at flying on a broom, let alone playing sports on them.

[I look] like a couple of different ages sometimes. One day I look ten, the next I look thirteen. It‘s really weird sometimes, but it‘s true. Some of the teachers and students here think I use a spell to do that, but I swear I don‘t! That would be wrong. I‘m a little chubby, but I don‘t see myself as fat. It‘s not like I have a huge gut; it‘s all proportional. I stand at about five two, five three, and I weigh 115lbs.

My hair is brown, and I have bangs that go down to about my eyebrows. There‘s a couple pieces that stick by my ears, but in the back it goes to the nape of my neck. Except my hair on my forehead and by my ears, it gets combed at a backwards angle. I always liked it that way, though my dad used to try to get it to go forward like his. My skin is fair but my cheeks have always been a little rosy. And my eyes are blue, clear blue with no mistaking it.

Most of my shirts, even my T-shirts, are collared. I always liked how it looks I guess, and it made things easier if I was in a rush to find something for a dinner. I wear a lot of vests over my shirts, too. And mostly I wear pants or khaki shorts. I don‘t really like jeans that much, they feel funny and are always really loose or really tight. I like patterns a lot: like vertical stripes or tartan. I also have glasses that I use for reading.

User Image[Looking back,] well, I was born in Didcot, England, which is a fairly small town in a triangle between London, Swindon, and Oxford. My parents are a scientist and a nurse, that I knew anyway. Where and what was the missing information, though I find it funny that I never really cared to learn what that information was. Approximately a year after I was born, my sister Brianna came along. When we were little, my parents told me that we fought all the time because our personalities were so different. I can‘t really believe that because we get along so well now.

Anyways, when I was about five I started doing some stuff. Small things, but I did them. I was too scared to ask my mom if I could have any seconds because we were having a bad family discussion or something and they suddenly just appeared on my plate. Brianna just laughed and giggled and asked me to do it again, though of course I couldn‘t. I also retrieved some of my father‘s chemicals and let loose on the house an army of frogs. My mom wasn‘t too happy about that one.

This kind of thing went on for awhile, and my parents had planned on moving to London, but as it wouldn‘t stop, they decided against it. I remember Brianna getting pretty mad about the whole not moving thing, too, and she didn‘t talk to me for almost two weeks. Then she started doing it too, and I gotta tell you, it was hard enough figuring out my own issues with this. But then for her to start doing it? I was really confused for a long time. By then my mom was able to get a hold of a way to lock down our magic better so these sorts of things didn‘t happen anymore. Thankfully she managed something just before our trip to the States, but we still managed to pull something on a guy dressed as Donnie from The Wild Thornberrys.

When I turned eleven, I received my letter from Hogwarts. My dad wasn‘t too surprised and my mom was really proud. Brianna was asking me question after question about the school, magic, what the classes and books and stuff were, and I felt bad because I didn‘t have any answers for her. We went to get my supplies and off to the station and man, that train was huge. There were students everywhere asking all sorts of questions and a few were talking about wizarding cards and famous witches and wizards and mandrakes…I was so confused. I had a bunch of really chatting girls that sat by me and they wouldn‘t stop giggling with each other.

And then came the sorting ceremony--by then I‘d heard some of the things about the houses, and I was glad I wasn‘t in Slytherin, but I was disappointed to be in Hufflepuff at first as well. I was told they were a bunch of wimps, which I certainly was, but still…that wasn‘t a happy association. And I met my humiliation in classes, nearly flunked out, and began the bullying process. And now I‘m back. Oh goodie.

User Image[Despite being a year apart] I am very different from my sister, Brianna, who is very loud and out there and into everything that‘s going on. I‘ve always been the shier one, the person to sit back and look at things and simply wish they had the confidence to talk with the world about everything and anything. And to make it worse, I also get very emotional. So I‘ll anger easily and I‘ll get sad or scared easily, too. And when I get angry, I get made fun of for this, I cry half the time. Everyone says I‘m a girl, and it‘s not very funny at all.

It‘s not like I don‘t try to talk to people, because I do. I just end up stuttering or blanking or sweating or I‘ll say something really stupid. Or worse. I‘ll drop something. It‘s bad enough in class that I have trouble using magic correctly (especially charms and transfiguration), but when I have to be clumsy on top of it, well, that just takes the cake. So a lot of people end up laughing at me and I‘ll sit there and take it, or more likely, I‘ll find any excuse I have to leave the area. I’m kind of scared of being made fun of and laughed at and stuff.

So as you can imagine, I‘ve always spent lots of time around Brianna, but I couldn‘t do that last year because I was here at Hogwarts and she wasn‘t. But I met this really nice girl named Jin, and she helps me out a lot. She says it‘s alright to be the way I am. But you know celebrities, they can‘t hang around long. So I end up reading to fulfill that empty place or I‘ll stare at some scenery. Sometimes I just walk around the grounds, too, or hide away in the greenhouses. It feels safe there for me.

I‘ve never really been into girls. My mom and dad tell me all the time that when I‘m just a couple years older they‘ll be all I think about. I doubt it, but looking at people like that Mac guy, I guess it could be true. He was always hanging around girls last year. But I don‘t really like them all that much. That‘s okay, because I do like making model airplanes or boats in my free time, and I‘m sure that‘s more fun than some girl could ever be.

I‘m not very good at anything that actually requires a lot of magic using, like transfiguration and charms. I mean, I do well enough to get by by the skin of my nose, but I wish I could do better. Potions, well, the Professor terrifies me to be honest and I barely get by in there, too. I‘m not great at flying, so the only thing I‘m all that great at is Herbology. I don‘t know why, but it‘s the only class I can really understand. I‘m not much of a wizard, really. But Brianna is sure amazing.

[I like] my sister, Brianna (ewww, not like that!), because she‘s always been there for me and sticks up for me. Though it‘s embarrassing when she beats up my bullies. Herbology is my favorite class, and I like to get clothes rather than toys usually for Christmas and my birthday, so long as they have stripes, tartan, or a collar. I like to learn about animals and model planes/boats. Using my hands and without magic is really great for me. Chocolate frogs are the best wizarding sweet I've come across.

[I don‘t like] all the bullies that run around, which honestly are mostly Slytherins, but there are a few Ravenclaws and Gryffindors in there, too. And I don‘t like my potions professor very much. I hate brooms with a passion; I was never scared of heights until I got on one of those things. And pumpkin juice. I just don‘t like pumpkin juice.

[Something else] - our family doesn’t actually have an owl, so last year I ended up using one from the school to get my messages to my parents. Though I still haven‘t figured out how they‘ve been getting their messages to me… And one of the girls on my first train ride gave me a bunch of bogey and vomit flavored Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, so I'm not so sure I ever want to try those again.

But to you I am...

GRYFFINDOR

RAVENCLAW

HUFFLEPUFF

SLYTHERIN

Name: Cordelia Jones
Year: 2
House: Slytherin
Relationship: <3 "You catch my eye" and
☺ ☺ "We give advice and study"
What you think of Shawn/Ry: "Aww, Shawnie-baby's adorable. He's a bit of a porker, but that's part of his charm. He wouldn't be Shawnie-baby without it. I don't see why Slytherins are always talking bad about Hufflepuffs, not really. He's so much fun to tease and joke around with, and if I ever need him for anything, he owes me. How is that not sweet?"
History, if any: Last year, she hexed a boy who was bullying Shawn, and since then, she's made it her mission to be friends.
Plot ideas: I'm not really sure. Maybe if he ever does get a crush on someone, she can try to help him out. Or she can talk him into helping her with one of her schemes.

Name: Brady Allen IV
Year: 2nd
House: Slytherin
Relationship: You're irritating & I dream of hexing you & oh, hey, I do.
What you think of Shawn/Ry: "Ugh. Who put in that little pig's head that he was in any way as good as me? Well, you could say I set him straight, but if he ever thinks things like that again, there's going to be hell to pay."
History, if any: Remember that time? When, uh Porker effing called Brady out on his pure blood ideals, among other things. Yeah. Yeah.
Plot ideas: Shawn might wanna watch his mouth, because Brady's not so good at watching his temper.

User Image Name: Spencer Lee Porter
Age: 35
House: Hufflepuff
Year of Graduation: 1972-1973
Birthday: August 1st [Leo]
Relationship: Dad
Model: Michael Breslin, telecommunications expert
A Taste of Personality: Prideful, stubborn, misleading but honest. Likes to make people laugh.
A Bit of Background: Spencer went through his time at Hogwarts pulling pranks and seldom studying. He paid attention in class (though threw around a few jokes) and played Quidditch for a year and a half, stopping because of a serious injury to his arm and shoulder from a Bludger attack. After he graduated, he made his way to the Muggle world as he didn't want to be reminded of his true joy. Along the way, he came across Mia Hammond and they had a girl, though she left him and took their daughter as soon as she found out he was a wizard. After a grieving, he met Lucy and they got married and had a child, Spencer. Their marriage hit some rocks and he ended up having a short affair with Mia again and Brianna was born. He kept Brianna this time, and has been working ever since to prove his loyalty to Lucy, forever sorry for his mistake.

User Image Name: Lucia (Lucy) Melissa Porter (Belldoe)
Age: 37
Birthday: December 4th [Sagittarius]
Relationship: Mum
Model: Ricki Lake, actress
A Taste of Personality: Always running around, kind, forgiving, adaptable, fairly responsible, likes to travel. Straight-forward but secretive.
A Bit of Background: Lucy grew up in the Muggle world and never had any experience with magic outside of those people doing tricks on the stage. That was, until she met Spencer Porter. She was reluctant to believe him for awhile, thinking it was some sort of joke, but eventually accepted it as truth. In fact, she thought it was rather fun to be married to a wizard with all the strange things he liked to pull (so long as no one else was around). After Shawn, she realized that he might be magic too and became very excited. That was…until she found out about Spencer‘s affair with the woman who‘d left him cold--Mia Hammond. She was very upset for a long time, and still doesn‘t fully trust him anymore, though he‘s gained some back, but she would like to believe she‘s forgiven him. She took on the daughter that was born and has raised the girl as her own child ever since, never letting her on about her other mother.

(( Back again )) for my second year
(( I was called into )) Hufflepuff last year
(( Alohamora! )) 8½ inch Holly with Abgal feathers. It was a really small shop, and we were in the US at the time.

(( My parents )) parents are Lucia Melissa Porter [Belldoe] and Spencer Lee Porter.
(( It’s embarrassing )) that Brianna Cameron Porter (11) always has to protect me. And I don’t know a Lisa Jasmine Hammond (15) exists.
(( Just a little )) wealthier than most. My father's a scientist of sorts in the wizarding world and my mum's both a librarian and a soccer coach. [Upper-middle class]
(( Naturally )) I’m British

(( Help me! )) Come to me, my friend the armadillo!
(( Almost very day )) Bullies
(( It’s nice )) Lilies, applesauce, peanut butter.
(( Why should I tell you? )) Shawn picks his nose when nobody is looking. He’ll carry around sanitizer or go find a sink afterwards to wash his hands afterwards, so he’s not completely horrible for it. He also sleeps with a small teddy bear still as it is a comfort for him, and he keeps it hidden under his blanket.
(( Sleep on it )) He wants to make his parents proud, become someone others respect, and to thin out.
(( *shivers* )) Back in his muggle school the other kids would call him fat and punch him until he was bleeding and sometimes unconscious.
(( Like a dream, but not )) To stand up for myself, and to not lean on others so much. To find something I’m really good at (and like it).

(( Be nice… )) Shy, stupid, fat (xD), emotional, useless, unteachable.
(( You don’t know everything )) Shy, smart, hard-working, focused, clumsy. A good friend.
