500 years ago a war between two races was, raging on. It was close to ending in peace until a human soldier killed the queen of their enemy the draconians. As she died her once great and seemingly, invincible army went with her turning into stone.
The humans rejoiced in their victory and gathered the statue army and destroyed them making them nothing but dust. One by one the stone warriors were destroyed
until only three were left their General his brother and his father. The humans, decided which draconian went to which soldier and they divided them like this the draconian general went to the human general the draconian commander went to the human commander, and the elder went to the main leader of the humans and since that time the stone soldiers have been moved to maximum security waiting to be brought back from their sad fate of being a statue forever.
Then 100 years later all three draconians had been lost by time and another war had been waged between two rival human armies that had, been going on for 15 years. When finally both groups got the same idea to find the lost draconians and use them for battle to win against the other but sadly they were never found and the war had been settled in much the same way as the draconian war would have settled in peace and understanding.
Now both sides of that war had been friends for 400 years until new land was discovered and both sides wanted complete control over it and yet again they fought. But there was a secret behind this fight both sides, knew that this had to be where the lost draconians were because they found evidence leading to them like stone dragon heads in various locations and a tomb which hadn't been open for centuries with dragon markings on it.
On the door held the only way of opening it and reviving the great warriors it was very simple to revive them but impossible to open the door so when they couldn't get it open they blew open the door with TNT and, went inside and there on markers stood the three proud noble guardians of the draconian race but yet they still did not move even though their path was cleared. But written at the feet of the general was the one way of bringing them back they needed a new queen.
For years they tried every woman they, could find but had a hard time keeping it a secret so they made a festival and used the draconians as a game to find the future queen. Woman after woman went up and placed their hand on the statues head and nothing happened for years until the one woman no one would ever suspect a woman who had snuck into the festival walked up to the general. And as, the closer she got the more the statue shook finally she reached him she placed her hand on his head and the stone started to fall apart people from all over went to go see what was happening and just then the statue exploded sending pieces of rock flying every where and there rising from the rubble and dust the reborn Draconian of legend and myth he looked around feeling uneasy in this new place he, sheathed his sword looked at the woman and said "My name is Vengeance I am leader of the draconian army now who is the one that brought me back step forth and claim your rightful spot as queen of your army".
All of a sudden every woman there walked up and said "I am your queen, now bow before me" and every one got thrown from the stage when finally he saw the real queen and instinct drew him to her. She had been knocked to the ground from the rush of women and as Ven got up to her ,she put her head down expecting the worst when she felt two hands grab her shoulders and pick her up and before she knew it she was on her feet and the hands had let her go. She couldn’t see, anything for she had her eyes shut as tightly as they could be when she finally got the bravery to open them she couldn’t see him and so she looked down and saw him bowing to her he unsheathed, his sword handed it to her and said "Please accept this as a token of my gratitude and as my apology for not realizing you were my queen all along. I was a fool not to see, you and for that I am sorry".
She picked up the sword, and noticed that she was getting a lot of angry stares from everyone around her she heard one voice shout "your unworthy of that title you low-life" and a man say "we should hang her she snuck in and didn’t pay" when the man stopped talking Ven stood extended his claws grew his fangs, turned towards the man and grabbed him and put him before his queen looked at and asked "should I kill him for not knowing his place my queen?" she looked at the trembling, man begging for his life then looked at Ven waved her hand signaling for him to follow so he threw the man back with a good bit of force and obediently followed her.
She took him back to her house and found him, a cloak so he wouldn’t scare the other villagers all the time she left him in the living room and fetched the clothes when she came back he wasn’t there but there, was a man in his armor he knelt and said "this is my human form I saw a man while we were walking back, to your house and took my own form as I saw it would be fitting does this please you?". She looked at him and said "yes it pleases me thank you this will make it easier for us to go out".
When they finished talking she handed him the clothes, she got from the closet and went out and everyone she passed glared at her whispering among themselves Ven overheard one man say she was a useless poor trashy woman who had no right to even love let alone be a queen of ,course this wasn’t true she was just poor and Ven knew she wasn’t like that but still it infuriated him so he told the girl that he, was going off alone for a bit to get to know the area better and when she was out of sight he grabbed the man took him into a dark alley extended his claws and ripped out the mans tongue bent down to his ear and whispered "next time know your place in front of a queen, old man or ill take more than your tongue ill take your head" then he threw, the man against the wall and walked off.
He caught back up with the woman she, didn’t notice him at first so she kept on walking and didn't respond to him being there but when she stopped at a store she could tell he was there waiting to be told how he could help her. When she saw him shift his weight she turned to him and he got excited thinking she would finally know he was there but she just walked past him he was in complete shock and it was a major blow to him inside but he wouldn’t show it he just followed as usual and waited for her, to give him instructions on what to do.
An hour passed and still, she ignored him and he couldn’t figure out why then finally he realized why he wasn’t important enough or hadn't proved himself worthy yet so he got the idea to watch her and wait for an opportunity to be of use to her. When they passed a meat market his time for usefulness had come at last because they stopped and looked at the prices of meat and it was completely out of their price, range and she said "It would be nice to have meat every now and then I wish they would lower the price or I knew how to hunt". Luckily for her Ven was the best hunter among his kind so he found a quiet dark place to where he could change to his normal form extend his wings and take of without being noticed by people.
A day had gone by since Ven went hunting and the girl didn’t, even realize he was gone until she heard something on her roof then in front of her door she ran to open it mainly out of curiosity and what she saw was really unexpected it was Ven with two arrows in his arms and legs covered in blood and sword in hand he was panting heavily. She rushed him in sat him on the couch and got him some water she asked him what he was doing in this condition he looked at her then looked at his bag and without saying a word stood up grabbed the bag and opened it and inside, was what she had asked for meat and lots of it. He had deer, beef, pork and countless other things to eat in there and finally he got what he wanted most of all in his life her recognition she actually thanked him and he knew she was different from his other queens she was better than them she never scream at him hit him or said she was ashamed of him she was kind sweet and gentle towards, him and never treated him like a beast.
He was curious about her he, wanted to know everything he could about who she really was and where she came from and most importantly of all her name. He had never felt this way about any of his queens before something about her made his heart beat faster just by the thought of her name and when he was in her presence it took all he had not to shake. Ven was scared of what was happening so he went to go see a doctor and he was even more unsure of this but he went along anyway thinking he was sick. When he told the doctor his symptoms all he did was laugh and said "Its simple your in love nothing more nothing less and if you want to stop all the things happening to you either leave her forever or try telling her how you feel the worst that, could happen is she says no" with this Ven felt worse than before draconians were not supposed to love especially his queen. He had ventured out into the forest to think he thought about what the elders would do to him if they knew he was in love but he didn't care what they'd do to him for he was happy this way a new experience was awaiting him and he decided at noon tomorrow he would tell her no matter what happened.
The awaited day finally came and it was, almost time for him to tell her how he felt but when he approached her he choked, he tried his hardest to tell her about everything and why he was acting so strangely but he just couldn't he knew, his kind shouldn't fall in love for it would give him, a weakness that could be used against him anytime he got into another war. Before he knew it several months had passed and he never, learned anymore about her nor did he wish to injure their relationship so far by asking unneeded questions that could make her angry with him so he just left everything as is and never thought about it again.
Then a year passed and still he kept on living a decent life but thoughts kept coming back to him about how it used to be and he, prayed they would never return then he would look at her and those thoughts would leave his mind. Suddenly he wanted to know her name again and, since over the past year they have grown closer so he thought there wouldn’t be a problem but he would still get nervous about it so he waited until she went to get food for the, week and something for supper that night and he paced around in a circle thinking about how to word his question perfectly then he got an idea he kept that one in his mind twisting it and turning it until he thought it was perfect so he practiced saying it, saying “we have been together for a year now and I haven’t been able to ask this correctly for it would mean I could not ever leave your side but may I ask what your name is?” he stood there in the dark of the room pondering what he had said and let out an angry uneasy growl.
He decided that no matter how, wrong it sounded he would ask her exactly that way without being nervous and do it with pride and dignity, so he sat down and waited for her to return he waited for two hours and she finally stepped through the door and turned on the lights. He, stood up and helped her put things away then looked at her and said “umm I’m not quite sure how to ask this but what is your name?”, she turned to him and stared at him with a long pause making him think he had done something wrong until he heard her say “its Jasmine”. He let out the breath he, had held when waiting for her reply he was at ease until she held up her finger and pointed at him and said “but if you want to know, the rest you’ll have to work for it” Ven had nodded in agreement.
Their days continued normally nothing really different other then Ven not having to refer to her as ma’am anymore but none the less the same, they no longer got angry stares or insults from others when they went into town. One day Ven walked up to Jasmine and said “where does one get a job I have given it a lot of thought and if I were to get a job we could afford better things.” she turned to him with a happy look on her face and said “that would be great since your strong you could do a lot of jobs that pay really good money!” with that remark he felt as though he could do anything and so his job hunt began.
He looked far and wide for the perfect job that would fit his skills and he saw another stand that had deer on it and he thought to himself, “maybe they would hire me since I’m the most skilled hunter in my clan?” he walked up and asked “would you be willing to hire me as a hunter I can get you more meat then anyone here.” and with that he was being tested he had to bring back 10 deer or else he wouldn’t be hired a day had passed and then he had come back with 20 deer just to prove his point.
When he got them back to the man he told Ven to come back tomorrow and he would give him a decision as to if he’ll hire him as a hunter, so Ven went home and told Jasmine that he may have a job tomorrow and she said “that’s great now we can have money and tonight we shall celebrate this great occasion!”. She went to the cabinets and grabbed a bottle and two glasses she told him “its not anything big and fancy but it tastes good and wont get you drunk” she started to laugh a little and Ven was easily taken away from the world by her beautiful smile he couldn’t help but feel warmed by it he loved seeing her happy, and would do anything to protect her smile even if it costs him his life.
The next day Ven set out to go see if he got, the job and as soon as he got there he wasn’t greeted so warmly he heard angry shouts from all the hunters threatening him to turn down the job or they would, make him wish, he was never alive and what they didn’t know is that he already wished that. He walked up ignoring the angry shouts and asked if he had the job pretending he didn’t already know and the man humored, him saying “yes you have the job now here’s everything I need, for this week make sure its all there and don’t miss a single one.”
That very same day Ven brought back everything, on the list and extra for him and Jasmine so she wouldn’t have to cook. He started off back home to tell her the good news when he found a note saying “We have your girl and if you want her back come the river before midnight and she wont be hurt come alone”.
Ven grew enraged his eyes turned, blood red his claws extended his wings unfolded and his fangs grew and sharpened they had unleashed his full anger and he would make them pay for it! He took off into the night and found them in a little camp his dropped down into some near by bushes and hid himself, he changed into his full form to make suret hey had no chance. He had to wait for the right time to strike because if he missed one person she would surely be killed he noticed that they made shift changes to watch her every 15 minutes, planned out his attack and waited till the next change.
Finally his chance arrived he got into position and charged them they couldn’t make him out completely from the dark and his speed all they could see was a dark blur then someone falling to the ground and blood flying through the air the men started to et scared they ran off into the woods screaming but Ven easily found them and made sure they suffered for taking her away from him like this.
At last they had all been killed and he went to go untie her when she saw him he could see the fear in her eyes she thought he was a monster something dangerous, but he summoned all he had and untied her gently she screamed in fear just as the others did she even cried and hid herself behind a tree Ven saw she could never be the same around him again so he changed back to his human form and said “Jasmine I’m sorry I scared you like that but I didn’t want you to get hurt and I know you cant stand to look at me, so ill go far away to make sure you live a good decent life without fear so Jasmine this is goodbye forever”.
Ven turned, tears falling from his eyes like rain he changed to his half form extended his wings and once again took off into the darkness. He found a nice spot where he could rest and be safe from the cold, and made a bed. He laid there thinking about Jasmine he thought of her warm smile and then the fear in her eyes he thought about her laugh which he loved hearing and then of her screams.
He hated himself for what he had done, but, knew it was right for if he had done nothing she would surely be dead by now. It was that thought that put him somewhat at ease just enough so he could get some sleep before morning came.
Jasmine was walking home from, the lake she was cold scared and hurt because she had tripped over a root and hurt her knee. She was tired and hungry and could barely walk anymore she sat down at a tree and with as much energy as she could get up screamed out for Ven she yelled as loud as she possibly could, hoping he would hear her. She waited 10 minutes and no one came she thought she was going to die here in the woods and no one would ever find her except for the animals.
She fell asleep giving in to what she knew, she could never beat. She woke up in her house covered up and food waiting on her with a note saying “stay out of trouble because I wont come back this time love Ven” she knew that was a lie, and that he was somewhere close to her all she had to do was look.
She wanted to let him know it was him she, was afraid of it was the thought of there being more of those thugs out there she said his name thinking even he could not hear her then when all of a sudden a loud thud at the, door came. She went to open it but it swung open and there he was once again covered in blood and, this time three arrows were in his back one in his arm and legs one even through his chest. He pulled the arrows from his legs and through them on the ground and got one from his back, he asked her if she would be so kind as to pull the one from his chest.
He wasn’t going to tell her this, is how he punished himself for what he had done to her and those people. He looked up while he was thinking when he felt the arrow in his chest move then be yanked out he jumped back a bit rubbing the wound. She apologized for hurting him but he didn’t mind the pain.
She told him to wait on the, couch while she got some medicine so he did as she asked. She came back with the medicine and a bandage she got his armor off of him and the wound was already healed just a little red spot remained where the arrow once was.
Months passed on and Ven still, hung around Jasmine and now it was the month of their meeting October and the fair restarted and to unknown to Ven his brother was found and was now being used in the fair just as he was. Jasmine talked Ven into going to the fair and he reluctantly went as agreed and as soon as he saw his stone brother he began to feel angry but waited to see if he would be revived to join, him and his queen.
Again woman after woman came up and tried their luck at being a queen, but all failed until Jasmine and Ven came back, but this time her and Ven walked up and the same happened as before the stone broke apart sending stone fragments flying every where and as the dust settled their stood Chaos he was already in his human form with his armor on.
Ven changed into his full form and walked up the two exchanged glances and all of a sudden Chaos attacked Ven with such power it sent a shockwave through the whole city. The two fought so fiercely that it, seemed they were trying to kill each other but it ended as quickly as it started when they both un-sheathed their swords and swung. With a loud banging they dust settled revealing the two locked laughing.
They sheathed their swords and shook hands, Ven reverted to his human form Chaos was more rouge then tamed he always had a twisted look in his eyes and wouldn’t hesitate to make sure you knew he was stronger and would kill in an instant if the time called for it. Ven introduced him to Jasmine, and told her about him and how they both turned out like that.
Ven showed Chaos around the city near his home and tried to get him to stay with him and Jasmine, but he declined the offer saying “I could really do better on my own I don’t like to be taken care of”. And with that he took off in search of his own place where he could live quietly away from society only to come out to see his younger brother and talk to him about their father.
Chaos found Ven and Jasmine’s house surprisingly, easy and knocked on the door but no one answered and as he turned to leave he saw ven coming down from his hunt he shot a little blast of fire to let him know he was there. And that was returned by a bigger blast for this was how the two always greeted each other to them it was nothing but to the plants and animals around them it was horrible for they would either get singed, or burned.
When Ven landed Chaos got right to the reason he was there he said “I can’t find a shelter of my own so I was wondering if it would be possible for you to either help me or allow me to stay with you.” Just then Ven got a great idea the den he had made when he tried to leave Jasmine would work perfectly for him! Ven took Chaos to the den but when they arrived, it was occupied by children who didn't look as if they wanted to move anytime soon so they got the idea to scare the children off but didn't know the right way to do it so they would'nt harm them.
Finally they decided to just revert to their half dragon forms and shoot off a couple energy waves to let the children know they were in the wrong place so thats exactly what they did they combined their power and let loose a a pillar of fire so hot it scorched the ground to where grass will never grow there again nor will the trees ever return.
