I've been looking into the man. He promotes a kind of Islamic socialism, but represents his people very well. A fan of direct democracy. I've yet to read the Green Book, but the more I read about him the better a leader he looks like, especally among African post-colonial leaders. Can anyone give me a nice and dandy marxist viewpoint?
I feel if you ignore the Islamic tendencies and need for the world to become Muslim, Jamahiriyan Socialism seems very sound. I mean, it has small-scale capitalism, but of all the socialist countries on Earth I'd say Libya is way up there with the goodies.
The Marxist, Communist, and Socialist Guild
Formerly called the NCS, this is a place for communists and socialists to talk about communism and socialism.
