In a far off kingdom in the sixteen hundreds lies a rather large village just a few miles from the empire capital of what we know in our plain of existence as London. In this village there is no turmoil or strife, no real threat to existence but that is because it is a time of peace in the land. Now that isn't to say that trouble hasn't wandered in, there will always be raiders, barbarians, and rogues of all kinds. Also knights may come a stir up the place and enchant the women folk, but unlike many other stories this village has no real leader but the king who only plays a small part in keeping order. The real law is in life and is enforced by those who have the most strength of body and mind.

Village Overview and Layout

The village is basically a large rectangle on the earth filled with buildings and a town square in the center and a road going through the village. The village has a large church on the east side and the left side houses the village tavern. In between the two are rows of houses built by the owners or the carpenter who seems to have the only well constructed house in the village. Now this isn't to say the people are poor, quite the opposite in fact. For all anyone knows there are duchesses hiding around.

The Village Square- Literally a large square in which merchants peddle their wares and children run and play. But the village wouldn't be complete without a ode to their king so in the center is a rather large statue of a man on a horse wielding a powerful lance.

The Church- There is only one priest in the church but he is so old it appears that he'll kick it at any time and most people believe him to be a statue when they first walk in. But the church itself is very beautiful, dark marble flooring and cherry wood walls with a grand stain glass ceiling that when lit appears to shimmer down god himself. There is also a large bell at the top, but no one has actually been up there for years for the priest sleeps in the crypt below the church oddly enough.

The Village Tavern- A large distorted building that always produces some sort of noise. On average their are five fights a day which the towns people have taken to betting on. The owner is a large Lycan that everyone knows as a grizzled old war veteran that is highly respected, and feared. The tavern itself on the outside may look like a large shack but on the inside is rather nice. It has hard wood floors that some how get polished every day and a clean bar stocked with meed and ale mostly but Issac, the owner, keeps some special blends.

Characters

Carpenter: Lyon Richards- Lord Gemini

Blacksmith: Kaltar Numic- Lord Erichthonius

Law Consult: Lavitz Scott- Alucard Von Dracali

Townspeople:
Selena Valetin- Lady Diao Chan

As an added note anyone can take any job they wish, well except the bar owner, I'll be controlling that NPC. But know that there can be an infinite number of merchants, priests, bartenders, and workers but for jobs like carpenter, black smith, barber, or alchemist there can only be one unless you wish to share the job with the person, on that note, I will not share the carpenter job. But that doesn't mean your character can't be good at any of those skills, they just can't be known as the person to provide that service.

Lyon was walking around the town in his usual cheery manner, analyzing people and houses. Every once in a while he would stop and pound in a nail or help a women with her newly purchased items but mostly he was patroling, for there were no guards in the village, just people like Issac the bar tender and himself, a secretly retired assassin that people knew as a nice man in his early twenties that was the village carpenter.

Evelyn rode in on a chestnut mare from the direction of London town. She was covered in a dark cloak with the hood pulled over her head for the journey. She glanced around her at the townspeople on her way tavern for a short rest--or so she was hoping.

Lyon saw the rider and bowed slightly before moving on. She was of higher class then he. He couldn't help but remember her face from some place, probably a relation of an employer or someone he killed. But if she indeed did know him, she would know Issac as well. Lyon followed her to the tavern and a few minutes after she entered he would too.

She dismounted from the mare, tossing the reins to someone so she could smooth down her skirts and cloak. The jewel that floated across her forehead seemed to sparkle in the light when she raised her face to the sky, marking the time of day. It would indeed have to be a short visit. She entered into the tavern, honestly surprised to see the contrast compared to the outside. She took a seat at one of the tables and pulled out a small volume to read.

A few minutes later Lyon entered the tavern and was greeted by several people before Issac came over and gave Lyon a bear hug and the pair laughed."Tis a shame, I will miss my back, you broke it."At first Issac seemed concerned but catching on to the jest he laughed again and went behind the bar to pull out to bottles of mead for the both of them. Issac began telling war stories very loudly while Lyon spoke quietly to him so he would not be heard."The women back there, she isn't from around here, do you remember her face?"In the middle of the story Issac shouted yes and found a way to further elaborate on his story which was most likely fiction."That's enough of the story Issac I've heard it half a dozen times by now friend."Issac laughed for a moment and then proceeded to have a light conversation with a women who was sitting at the bar while Lyon drank his pint of mead appearing to be in a day dream.

Finally closing down he smithy for the evening, Kaltar looked around the street, seeing all the familiar faces, Kilen, the town drunk. Martin, The town bard, and so on and so forth. He scanned the street, and when he got to the door of the inn, a look of mild surprise and amusement caught him. The face of a young woman, possibly a noble by the way she was dressed, was walking into the tavern. Soon followed by a good friend, and the carpenter, Lyon.

Hmm...

Entirely bemused, Kaltar put his final pieces away, locking them in on of his enchanted lock boxes, then followed suit. Walking into the inn, Kaltar was greeted with jubilant shouts of glee and excitement, gossip filling the air with a petulant and foul smell of smoke. Coughing at this, Kaltar found Lyon sitting amongst the others, and headed to the seat next to him.

Good evening, dear Lyon. What such pleasure of mine that I may find you here, and in good health. The termites have not found your new seal for your oaks.

Smiling at this he looks around to find the woman sitting at a table, then turns back to lion, entirely confused at why a woman that looks as prosperous as she, would be sitting amongst the low dwellers of the land, such as himself.

Perhaps you could help me understand a few things about our new friend in town, Lyon? For you seem to be as entirely... Perplexed as I in this such situation.

Glancing once more towards the woman, he tries to gain a small perspective of her general nature...

Lyon looked up, what a brash and loud fool Kaltar was, but a good man and loyal friend."Keep your voice down Kaltar, the entire pub can hear you. All I know is that she came into town and she is rather out of place, why she is here I do not know. Perhaps on some mission for the king."Lyon sipped his meed and Issac bumbled over and set down a pint for Kaltar. Issac was about to speak when five men began asking for mead. Issac shrugged and went to get their order.

Smiling maliciously towards Lyon, for he had always looked down upon Kaltar. Always thought he was too overbearing. Maybe he was, but fortunately, he had the skill to back it up, no man had ever become a drunken master without being known as a hard fought man in sobriety. Speaking in a lower voice as he set down and began to sip his mead.

I would assume you were correct, but by the looks of her, she does not quite look like she really understands why she is in such a place as well. Looks a bit too nervous to me...

((You must have been in a hurry, but I fixed it so whatever.))
Lyon was always suprised by Kaltar's perceptions which was mainly why he was his friend. Lyon was good friends with Kaltar so he knew about most of Lyon's secrets other then that he was an assassin and his real name. Kaltar only knew that Lyon had worked as a knight in service to the king but what he did was still unknown to him."Well Issac and I think she is a noble lady of some kind and she might remember our faces so we're laying low for now, the last thing I want is to be revealed as more then just a carpenter, then people would treet me differently, and that would ruin my people watching habit."

Seeing something else that Lyon was trying to hide, Kaltar only nodded, knowing that this was not the time to find out what else Lyon had to hide. Although they were good friends, they still had many things hidden from each other. Like the fact that Kaltar had been Captain of the Guard for the king himself, but after the kings assassination, Kaltar had to flee, for he was suspected of the wrongdoing. Nonetheless, he knew now was not a time for questioning.

Well, I would assume as much, but I think she was sent here, but not quite sure why. That information will probably come later. I will continue to keep tabs upon her, she will make a mistake, and we will pounce... She is only human.

Turning back to watch her with mild intrigue on his face. He could not place her, but she looked uncannily familiar.. Someone he knew...
