There is no World Social Link but there is a Persona: Izanagi no Ookami, fusable only on 2nd playthrough onwards.

Physical attacks are now unified into one element.

Returning from P3: Chihiro, Igor, Tanaka and a school trip to Gekkoukan where the party will stay in Shirakawa Boulevard ^_^;.

Dungeons are now in MTV (Mayonaka Terebi/Midnight TV) where the party can access other people's dungeons. Upon fighting the boss on the highest floor which are the respective character's Shadows (their dark side, representing their negative thoughts) and defeating them, the respective characters will gain their Persona (Metis said that Personae are actually tamed Shadows). However this rule excludes Mitsuo (Void Quest dungeon) and Taro (Heaven's Paradise dungeon, and the dungeon itself is Nanako's).

Part-time jobs can now be taken. Dungeon-crawling is done after school, not at night. Social Links are much easier to be maxed now. There are 5 stats parameters: Courage, Knowledge, Tolerance, Perseverance and Communication. Charm is gone (Chie said at the start of the game that MC has an unnatural charm). MC only wields one type of weapon (2-handed swords).

There is a fishing feature included. Essential for Hermit's last quest.
