Located among the Green Hills is a small unassuming, run-down, shack with the stamp of the Quest Master upon its door. Inside sitting behind a wooden counter is a wizened old man in a dark cloak. He looks at you with weary eyes, almost as if he's sad to see you here.
"So...more young people looking to toss their life away for a bit of gold?" The old man sighs deeply and speaks with a more business-like tone. "So then, what shall it be today? A lot of folks looking for a strong sword arm or a strong back. Maybe you fancy a chance to exterminate a local monster? Well choose quickly, your not the only adventurers out there." ~Crystalline Getaway~
Quest Giver - Madir Bomda, House Wife
Reward - 100 gold; Loaf of Homemade Bread
Description - I was thinking about it the other day and it finally hit me. I NEED A VACATION! Now I don't want just some normal vacation, I want to visit the Crystal Forest of Illuminati Island.. My husband is rather prejudice against elves though so I would like to see if someone could bring me a crystal tree sprig and a bottle of water from a mana pool to simulate the experience. Now I don't know how elves are so if they get violent when you get my souvenirs then rough 'em up a little bit and show them who is boss.
Difficulty - Hard
Time Limit - I want my items in at least the next two weeks so I'll give you fourteen days to get me my vacation.

Seth didn't take much time to observe his surroundings as he entered the Quest Master's hut. His deep violet eyes met those of the solemn man behind him, and his jaw set. He disliked that look; it was one of pitied sadness. It was like the man expected him to be one of those idiotic adventurers who would jump at the most difficult chance, thinking that they were invincible. Those kinds of fantasies never entered Seth's mind. No one was invincible. He detested the idea of being categorized with fools like that so easily.
He approached the counter and rested his hands on it lightly, feeling oddly casual. He wouldn't play along with the stereotype. "Actually, I'd hope to avoid monsters if possible... And I'm not after gold, either." he replied to the greeting nonchalantly, as if it shouldn't surprise anyone that he wasn't here under any reasonable motive. He looked at the pages of quests, his quick eyes taking in the information as he weighed his options. This would require a bit of thought. He had to pick something that wasn't too dangerous, to ease his own mind about taking Val there, but it couldn't be too alarmingly easy or boring either. She'd see through it in a second and demand something more interesting.
His focus landed on one particular quest that seemed to fit into those categories. A housewife wanted some trinkets from the Crystal Forest, on Illuminati. Val would get to see the Elfin forest, which from the stories he'd heard, was quite a sight. And the worst they'd have to deal with would be disgruntled Elves. It would be easy enough for Val to teleport them in and grab what they needed to get. They could look around for a while, satisfy her curiosity, and then teleport back just as quickly at any sign of trouble. Satisfied with his summation, he indicated the small description and gave the man a questioning look. "This one still open?"

The old man coughs violently before turning, very very slowly, around to look at quest ticket Seth had referred to. "Ah....I didn't think I would get rid of this scrap of paper." The old man waves a hand at the paper and it glides down to him. He snatches it out of the air and turns back around. "You young people seem to like the more exciting quests. I'm surprised a young fella such as yourself is taking this....." He looks Seth over thoughtfully, "Good on ya....Life is too short to be throwing it away at the drop of a hat." His hand slowly extends as he offers the quest ticket, "I hear the Crystal Forest is beautiful this time of year." He gives Seth a toothless grin. The old man actually seems happy with the current situation. A vast improvement to his dour mood before.

Seth gave the man a slight smile as he took the quest ticket. "That's what I'm counting on," he said. For his own sake, it better be. Val would flip out on him if he ended up picking a dud quest. But, he thought that this one would work out. As long as nothing went wrong. Which something almost always did with those two.
He didn't comment any more to the Quest Master on the fact that he'd chosen a relatively easy quest. It hadn't been for him, anyways. If he had decided to come here by himself, he wouldn't have chosen something impossible, but he knew he wouldn't have picked this. This time he had Val's safety on his mind when he chose. He would let the man think that he was just smart and careful, if it would make him feel better. But he wouldn't encourage it. He looked back at the apparently sick man once more as he reached the door, and then exited.
Stepping outside, he looked at Val. "I've got one. Looks like we're going to the Crystal Forest. Does that seem good enough for you?" his voice had an edge of sarcasm with the question, as if nothing he did would be. But then he noticed something. "...Are you okay?" His eyebrows pulled together a little and he looked at her seriously. She looked spooked about something. And Val didn't get spooked often. He was instantly concerned, though he did tend to get overly defensive when she was in distress.
