A massive battleship created by Dr. Eggman as a flying fortress. The oversized airship was the crafty doctor's base of operations during his plan to feed the seven Chaos Emeralds to the liquid monster Chaos. After Sonic and his friends impeded the ship, a piloting error caused the engine to malfunction, and the Egg Carrier fell into the ocean. The main deck and the interior are undamaged by the water, and everything inside the ship still works as if nothing has happened. Incidentally, since it's been sitting for years, the ship can no longer be reactivated.
