Ferrets have an extremely short attention span that makes trick-teaching a slow process...but it is possible. Thank God for small miracles. biggrin
I taught mine to come up on their back legs. surprised And I talked to a girl who taught her's to roll over. I'm trying that with my own; it's currently a work in progress.
What have you taught your weezil to do?

Izzie and I are working really really really hard on Roll Over. Not there yet though ^^;

When we shook the treat box, they came. Then, you say up, and they stand on their hind legs. Rollover is them just attempting to follow the treat. They couldn't ever do it without the treat in front of them, cause ferrets have permanent ADHD.

I taught my boy to play dead. But he forgot, because I haven't worked with him in a while. I'll need to re-train him. xd Anyway, this cake is great. It's so delicious and moist...

im tring to work on stand up with my ferret but insted she lays down and looks cute or sad to get the treats

Invisible Rainbows I taught my boy to play dead. But he forgot, because I haven't worked with him in a while. I'll need to re-train him. xd Anyway, this cake is great. It's so delicious and moist... play dead would be a cool trick i wish i could teach snowball that

It wasn't that hard. I had him lay on his back, then I let him lick some ferretone off my finger while saying the command. After a few weeks (I'd practice for about 5 min. a day, once or twice a day.), he gradually was able to do it without the finger right in front of him. After about a month, I just gave him the command, and he did it. Then he got a little mouse treat thing. (He loves those.)
Edit: I have a ferret named Snowball. She's a tiny little thing.Anyway, this cake is great. It's so delicious and moist...

Both of my little girls have tricks that they like to do.
Harle: Enjoys doing circles and standing up on her hind legs to reach a treat.
Nora: Enjoys rolling over and jumping over my arm, as well as standing on her hind legs.

I'd Teach Snorelax (Sonic Dancer/Pokey Hokey) Every trick but he has the attention span of a fish!! gonk blaugh

i kot my male when he was very young he acadently got sent to our store before he was the right age for sale so i took him home well he didnt like to run off and play so i would jingle my keys for him i loose my dame keys all the efing time and one day i was rattaling a set of keys for my other truck and koda brought me the keys to my car
so now when i loose my keys i let him out jingle somthing metal and he goes off looking for my keys and helps me find them
