what kind of toys do your fuz(zies) love? any special toy they carry around everywhere?
my youngest ferret, mini-kit, LOVES/HATES this little treat strawberry that is hanging on the cage. the treat strawberry is a plush strawberry with a bell inside. it has an opening in the side so you can put in treats and the fuz can get them out. well mini is kind of scared of the treat strawberry, but then sometimes he gets brave and dives in to get the bell. he always acts like it's eating him though. thrashes around and carries on like a fish on the line.
one of my other boys, ace, loves this toy he stole from me. it's a wooden bird toy about an inch high. when you put your fingers (or paws) in certain places it will chirp at you. for a while i heard chirping from all over the room. gonk finally (thankfully) the little battery or whatever inside it died and it doesn't chirp anymore.

Both of my furkids have their favorite toys.
Ollie's is his mini Kong. And Izzie's is her Boingo Ball. I picked up the boingo ball at my local grocery store for Ollie when I first got him. Sadly he didn't want anything to do with it. Izzie on the other hand, when I first brought her home that ball seemed to be the only thing that could comfort her. She still carries it around with her and gets distressed if you try to take it away. She has three of them now and they're like her babies. I can never find them but I often hear them rattling around.

The favorites at our house (the ones the groups hide, then re-hide) are:
-Rope dog toys (They like the HUGE ones XD) -Stuffed baby dolls (no eyes/plastic parts) -Crochet eggs (They can't have these anymore though, because the babies would eat them.)
One of them took the Miss Sakaki (sp?) plushie I got from Otakon the other day. I had to rescue, then take it upstairs so they couldn't take it again.Anyway, this cake is great. It's so delicious and moist...

P.S. does anyone else have ferrets who give them what I like the call the "ferret stare"?
Cain (Charles hardly ever does this, he's always sleeping) does this thing where he has to give a little sigh, and lay his little head completely flat on something (their platforms or beehive sleeping thing, or even their hammock) and just stares at me. Like, FOREVER. he just won't stop staring at me until I at least come say hi, or better yet take him out to play.
It's the cutest thing I've ever seen but it's a terrible thing my ferrets do to control me! I fear they will one day take over the world with the cute irresitableness of their ferret stare.

YES! my sister's white-footed butterscotch, MacDuff, does the ferret stare. It's so cute because he's the king of all our ferrets, and he looks at us like he's expecting something or he wants some sort of entertainment... But toys, we have this supper-helix sort of toy, I think it's a dog toy. Anyway, Kyrin is nippy and she likes rubber. She even chews on remote buttons and tries to steal them. Anyway, she loves this ball. We play tug-of-war with it all the time, and her jaw is so strong that I can lift her off the ground when she bites the ball.

Lets see. Harle seems to enjoy the mini kong, a feather cat toy on a stick, and a little bear plush that has a squeaker in it. Nora has a tendency to steal the bear from Harle because the LOVES little plushy things, thus is way she has like 10 of them, lol. He all time favorite toy is a plush snack with a rattle in the tail and a squeaker in the head. She likes to spent her time finding them all and stashing them in her hidey-holes. She also loves to wrestle with shopping receipts o.o;

I was here... Both of mine like stuffed animals. For a little while, they both had squeaky mice, but Ariel, my BEW (who is deaf), chewed them all up. I was picking up blue and green bits and pieces for days! And you were, too...

I'm afraid Nora will do that one day with her green ducky X'D So I only let her play with them while in my supervision <3

You are not alone :'3 lol Harle is my hyper little fuzzbutt. She likes to do the stare too. And if she catches me looking at her, she'll roll over on her back while still staring and paw at the cage door. I can't help but melt and swoon and then take her out :'3! Ferrets really do "own" their owners instead of it being the other way around X'D

I try that, but I live in a busy household and my kids like to hide their toys when I'm not looking. They often put them somewhere in their cage, buried under the blankies, then dig them out when I lock them up for the night. Smart little buggers. <3

Kodo loves this green and purple stuffed fish we found in my boyfriends childhood toy box. It's destroyed now, he took all the stuffing out of it and it's ripped up but it's still his favorite. He also has a rubber ducky he used to take EVERYWHERE when we first brought him home. He'd even take it down to his lower area of the cage to go to the bathroom. He lost interest after a few months but still like to drag it around.
