RiverClan

RiverClan lives on the western side of the forest along the river, sharing borders with ThunderClan and WindClan. RiverClan's camp is on a small island on the river. RiverClan has long wanted sunningrocks, and has been known to steal prey from there occasionally. RiverClan cats are clever and strong.

Cat's name: Lunarstar
Clan: Riverclan
Gender: She-cat
Rank: Leader
Age: 40 Moons
Picture/Description:
User Image
Personality: Sweet, Kind, Gentle, Shy, Loving.
She is hard to anger, and always easy to impress... or decieve.
She has a large soft spot for kits, and dreams of having her own someday, though her heart is fragile from a past lover, and is afraid to fall in love.

Deputy:
Username: DDR Tigress
Cat's name: Streamsoul
Clan: RiverClan
Gender: Female
Rank: Deputy
Age: approx. 36 moons
Picture/Description: Streamsoul is a blue-grey short-haired she-cat with cobalt eyes. Her pelt is faintly marked with dark grey stripes that, at a glance, reminisce of ripples on water.
Personality: Streamsoul was a kittypet kitten that was abandoned, stuffed into a bag and dumped into a small creek; RiverClan's creek. The cats took her in, which is good; despite her past, she has a deep love of the water. Her brother, who had no name, died in the bag before they could be rescued. Streamsoul is kind, but tentative. She longs to reach out and be friends, but is easily rebuffed. Her greatest love is the water, but she does long to start a family one day.

Medicine Cat:
Username: lightning_fall
Cat's name: Blizzardleaf
Clan: Riverclan
Gender: She-cat
Rank: Medicine cat
Age: 58 moons
Picture/Description:
Blizzardleaf
Personality: Blizzardleaf is an older cat, many would call her wise however she would simply call it experience. She is very kind, but she will do what needs to be done even if nobody likes it, and can even be sharp at times. She was adventurous and stubborn as an apprentice, but that has now changed into confidence and independence. Blizzardleaf does not much like being in charge, and her strong spirt sometimes faulters when she is in the spotlight.

Medicine Cat Apprentice:

Warriors:
Username: Nine_Tailed_Dragon_Demon
Cat's name: Leopardpelt
Clan: Riverclan
Gender: Female
Rank: Warrior
Age: 25 moons
Picture/Description: User Image
Personality: Leopardpelt is a nice, caring warrior. She loves the kits in the clan. Though, she feels so lonely because she is the only warrior left in Riverclan. Leopardpelt is a fast thinker, and normally has plans ready for a battle before the other cat even charges. It's like she can tell what's going to happen before they do. She is nice to the apprentices because she always thinks of how bad her apprenticeship was. She was bossed around and forced to do everything that nobody else wanted to do. When she gets her first apprentice, she promised herself that she was going to make it fun, yet still teach them everything they need to know. She rarely gets grouchy, even when she is about to drop dead in tiredness. She stays happy with everything except for in battle, where she seems completely different than herself.

Cat's name: Fogtalon
Clan: Riverclan
Gender: Tom cat
Rank: Warropr
Age: 30 Moons
Picture/Description:

Personality: Fogtalon was named for his silver and gray fur markings that resemble fog, and his long talon like claws. He is handsome for a cat and very well mannered. He will stop at nothing to keep his clan safe. His heart is very big, and wishes to be like a father to Leafdapple's kits though she hates him. His mind is torn as he fells affection for the lonesome queen, yet his heart obviously belongs to Leopardpelt.

Apprentices:
*Name: Earthpaw
*Age: 11 moons
*Gender: Male
*Rank: Apprentice
*Clan : Riverclan (Found as a rouge)
*Breed of cat: Calico
*Description (length of hair, fur color, eye color, etc.): Earthpaw has soft fur all around. All his fur feels like a cats belly fur. His fur has a mix of white, brown, orange, black, and a bunch of colors inbetween. He has white paws, a white chest, and white muzzle. The color that shows most on his pelt is orange, covered in black splotches and a few white strokes here and there. Only around his head, he has black tabby stripes. The thing that he is known best for is his eyes. His left eye is a bright, electric blue. Not only that, but in the middle, like blades of grass, darker blue lines come out. His eye is outlined in a dark blue, squiggly line. Though, the other eye is different. His right eye is lime green, with the same grass looking lines coming from the middle of his eye, except they are a bright, yellowish green. His right eye is also outlined in a darker color of the original. His body is not only bigger than supposed to be, but is also much, much more muscular than most of Waterclan's apprentices. He stands taller than most apprentices, and from afar, could be mistaken as a warrior, as he stands the height of one. (Reference pictures: Earthpaw Eyes (The electric blue and the green. I have written permission to use this picture. Credit goes to Malicious-Nightmare at deviantart.com.)
*Personality: Earthpaw is a very playful, energetic tom. He's almost like a young kit. He trains himself a lot, though, so he can be as strong as anybody else. He is a very rare cat, but not because of his pelt or his eyes, but because he is a male calico cat. It is very rare for a calico cat to be male. Rarely a calico male is born, and he just happened to be that male. He knows that he's very special, as his mother told him man times over. He, himself, doesn't see himself as any different from any other cat. He loves being around other cats, though it's hard for him to make friends. If your wonder WHY he doesn't make very many friends.. Here's your answer. At night, when the sky is dark and the stars are shining, he seems like a completely different cat. From happy, playful, and fun, to dark, mysterious, powerful, and warhungry. Nobody knows why or how this happens, and when they first meet him at night, they think it's just an act in the morning, and vise versa for when they meet him in the morning. He becomes very mad at the blink of an eye at night, but in the morning, his emotions are limited. Rarely is he seen sad, angry, or anything else but happy or excited for less than a few moments.

Earthpaw comes from somewhere very far, far away. THis explains his different behavior. Not his kit-like actions, but his aspect on his life and the lives of others. His is also misunderstood at times, since he talks faster than most cats. He comes from a place called The Dawn, which settles itself infront of the ocean. Not only do they know how to catch fish by the time they are 6 moons old, but they are, as the grow older, taught how to catch much bigger fish that others would never be able to catch. His is a great swimmer, just like any other cat from his old home. Earthpaw does not believe in Starclan, or the ancestors of his old home either. He thinks it's silly and weak to believe in cats that are dead. 'Even if they are real, what can they do to help you? All they can do is guide you, and it's your choice to follow or not. They cant touch you or let you feel their warmth. It's a waste to believe in such things.' This is what he said as his mother explained all the little lights and spirits in the sky. He also thinks that Leaders are no better than Warriors. As he was told when he was little, all cats have nine lives. This being his way of thinking, he pulls many risky stunts and actions. He is regularly caught, and insists that he is the same as every other cat, having nine lives. And most every time, he gets the same lecture about how only the Leader of the clan has nine lives, while the rest only have 1 to spend and protect.
*History (if any, optional): At the point of his birth, Earthpaw, back then Earthkit, was already showing signs of great strength. He was standing in a matter of days and was already jumping around playfully while his littermates were still laying limply. IN about twelve days, he was already running about in the soft, hot sand. Even if his eyes were closed, he seemed to know his way around already. This gave him his name. His mother decided that, since he knew so much so soon, that the earth itself was telling him all it's secrets.

By the first couple moons after being born, he was already faster than most cats in the clan, and already more muscular than two or three of the apprentices. His littermates were still suckling, but he was already biting into mice and voles. While he was running along the beach, something frightened his mother deeply. All of a sudden, he had dissapeared. The entire clan was searching for the small kit. Soon enough, they found him, in one of the least expected places. He had been underwater, trying to catch a trout. His strength was much better and higher than his littermates, along with his bravery.

Now at the age of 5 moons, Earthkit was restless and ready for battle, and he wasn't even an apprentice yet! His motbher told him the story of his each star in the sky represented one of their ancestors, and his reply scared the entire clan. No cat in The Dawn had ever disregarded their ancestors. When he spoke his reply, the ancestors became shocked and angry. Clouds drifted over the sky, leaving it blank and empty.

Now at 7 moons, he had been named an apprentice. He had gone out on a hunting trip on his own, and when he came back, he saw something terrifying. Crimson waves were raging onto the beach, carrying limp bodies out into the water. Huge, black and white creatures were throwing their heads from side to side, killing his friends and family one by one. Their bodies were thrown back and forth, black streaks coming after their bodies. Every shape was black against the setting sun. Now no creature moved. He could hear the heartbeats of the monsters in his ears, and his blood pounding against his ear drums. Suddenly, he burst forward, rage in his entire body. He went into a killing spree, trying to kill the monsterous black and white beasts. He only got thrown down with a bleeding neck. He landed right next to another dead cat.. Wildwind... In otherwords, his mother. He slowly stood, blood dripping onto the blood stained sand from his chest. He was about to charge again before he heard the last words of his mother. 'Run.. Keep The Dawn alive.. Your are our last chance to rebuild...' Tears welled in his eyes, but he listened. He ran as fast as his long legs could carry him, the only thing seen was the small sparkles of the moonlight shining on his tears. He ran far, far away until he couldn't stand it anymore. As he finally took a rest after days of nonstop running, his mind was filled with starry cats.

'You ran away.. You disregarded us.. You never even bothered to save the life of your very mother. We shall live inside your heart, and our hatred for you will show every time the moon shows. Your nothing but a disgrace to The Dawn.' This is what the starry cats spoke before Earthpaw awoke again in the darkness. His eyes became slits and his claws slid out of his paws. His fur rose and his back arched as he stood, his teeth bared as his hissed loudly. He yowled loudly and ran off into the woods, finding a little group of cats and killing them with swift blows to the neck. He killed many cats that night, but as the sun slowly rose hours later, his blood thirst was gone, and he was back to his normal self, not knopwing anything that happened. The only way he found out was he saw himself surrounded by a pile of dead cats. Seeing the dead cats before him, images of what he had just done flew through his mind, and he let tears fall once more, mourning for the lives he had taken.

Ever since this moment, he always changes into this warhungry beast at the very first sign of the moon against the black sky. The only way he remembers what he has done is if he see's the face of somebody who was there, or the voice or name. Anything that was around him at that time will make him remember. Now, he wanders alone in the dark woods of unknown territory, not knowing that it belonged to a clan of strong, healthy cats...

Ooc: RP'ing may commence!

Lunarstar padded out from her den, her silky soft silver tabby pelt greatly soaking up the warmth from the sun. Leaf-fall would soon be approaching. Her soft sea green eyes sparkled as she watched her clan awaken before her. Patrols would need to be sent out, along with hunting parties. She blinked her eyes, an amused purr rumbling in her throat as she watched her warriors battle the fearsome threat of sleep.

Streamsoul groggily cracked open her eyes, her consciousness breaking to the surface as if it had been submerged in black water. Their cobalt gaze slowly roved around the warriors' den, though not another muscle moved. After Streamsoul had assured herself that the past was past, and that it was over, she dared to move.

The blue-grey she-cat rose, the muscles beneath her pelt bunching and causing her dark, thin stripes to move like living things. With a wide yawn, quick stretch, and a few licks to rid her pelt of moss, Streamsoul exited the warriors' den and stepped out into the crisp Greenleaf morning.

Streamsoul would never get over how lucky she was to be here. She stepped out into the faint breeze that signaled the coming of Leaf-fall, and immediately smelled the distinct, inviting aroma of the nearby river. The distant sun warmed her pelt, and painted the sand and smooth stones in hues of pale gold and rose as it ascended. The weeping willows rustled, a kingfisher cried out into the morning, and Streamsoul felt ready to burst with contentment.

But there was work to do.

With one last shake of her coat, Streamsoul padded over to Lunarstar, who was watching the camp with her sea foam eyes. She turned and sat quietly by the leader. Streamsoul was content with the silence, and merely sat beside her leader, enjoying the pleasures of the morning and waiting for the activities of the day to begin.

Lunarstar let out a soft purr, as Streamsoul awoke from her nights slumber. "I was beginning to think the sleep monster had gotten you." she mewed in a amusement, a constant purr rumbling deep within her throat. Without taking her eyes off the camp, she spoke to her deputy. "If you would organize the dawn patrol, I will lead the hunting patrol. I'm itching to get my paws wet." she mewed contently.

((Heheh, not to be a spoilsport, but the only cat "asleep" is Smokepaw [whom I don't mind mentoring, by the way, if Emberstar needs one]. There be no one to organize! crying ))

((Yeah! xD I DO need a mentor, I was about to say. Sure, Smokepaw would be honored to have you as her mentor, O Mighty Streamsoul *bows*))

Smokepaw had been awake for a while, but she just now decided it was really time to "wake up". She stretched her long, muscular gray body and licked away the moss that had decided to hitch a ride with her. She blinked the sleep out of her shockingly bright amberorange eyes and padded out of the apprentices' den. Smokepaw was glad. No, she was estatic. She wouldn't be sleeping in her old den for much longer.
"Streamsoul?" The apprentice called quietly, already her mood slightly ruined by the presence of other cats, even if they were the deputy and leader of her Clan. "I would like to join your patrol, if you wouldn't mind having me."

((I'm going to pretend like I'm your mentor, and if Fea minds, I'll just edit my post and pretend like this never happened wink ))

Streamsoul blinked amiably at Smokepaw and meowed, "Of course not, Smokepaw. How could I call myself a decent mentor if I left you behind?" The she-cat's mouth quirked up into a smile as she took in her eager apprentice.

Streamsoul rose, and meowed, "It also appears as if it's just going to be you and me on morning patrol, Smokepaw. The other cats seem deeply asleep; perhaps they're not early risers." With a mrrow of amusement, the she-cat padded towards the sandstone and lichen arch that made up the entrance of camp. She called over her shoulder, "Coming?" and continued out into the soft, short grass of RiverClan.
PostPosted: Wed Aug 13, 2008 12:53 pm

((:3 Okay.))

Smokepaw nodded slightly, her bright eyes narrowed. She was never actually "friendly" to any cat...however, she knew when to show respect, especially for her mentor. "Yes, Streamsoul," she meowed. Smokepaw trotted after the deputy, loving the soft squish of the wet moss and grass underpaw. "May we fish?" She asked politely, shaking out her pelt. If there was one thing this apprentice didn't like, it was cold- and though it was Greenleaf, the air had a ripe crispness to it with the coming Leaf-fall.

Ooc: Its fine by me smile

Lunarstar watched the others go, content to wait until another cat decided to awake from their slumbers to join her on the hunting patrol.
PostPosted: Wed Aug 13, 2008 1:36 pm

"Actually, Smokepaw, this is a border patrol," Streamsoul mewed patiently. After a moment's thought, she added, "But I suppose we can circle around to the river, once we're done, and see if we can catch anything." The blue-grey cat picked up her pace; they would have to be fast, if they were to have time to fish.

Soulstream veered northwest, unconsciously keeping her tread silent as she trotted towards the river and, consequently, the base of the WindClan border. She tested the air for the massive, hard-footed creatures that roamed the area as she padded through the wet sand of the riverbank, and her ears swiveled back and forth, searching for danger out of habit.

Quickly, the seal-colored deputy reached the beginning of the WindClan border. She slowed, then stopped altogether, and meowed, "As you know, this is the WindClan border. Tell me, Smokepaw, does anything smell out of place? Do you sense any threat?" Soulstream's ears continued to flick back and forth as she waited for her apprentice's assessment.

Smokepaw, being large for her age, easily kept pace with her mentor. As they stopped at the WindClan border, she took a deep breath. The tangy scent of WindClan mingled with the sweet scents of the water and fish, but nothing seemed out of place. "It seems as if there's nothing to worry about..." Smokepaw replied to Streamsoul's question. She looked at the deputy, her expression unreadable.
PostPosted: Wed Aug 13, 2008 3:56 pm

Streamsoul tested the air quickly, then nodded. "That's right," she mewed warmly. She looked Smokepaw over quickly, her cobalt eyes thoughtful as she did so. "You've been training for four moons, now, haven't you?" she mused aloud. "Perhaps it's time to speak with Lunarstar about your assessment." Storing that thought in the back of her mind for later, Streamsoul turned and trotted along the river, headed for the thin strip of ThunderClan land at the southern end of the territory.

With their steady pace, it wasn't long before the two cats reached the river. With a fleeting sense of delight, Streamsoul forged the eddying water, and briefly shook out her coat on the other side. After a few more foxlengths, the smell of the ThunderClan marker was easily recognizable.

Hmm, Streamsoul thought, as she sniffed at the air, There are quite a few warriors in this patrol. Not many apprentices at all. How odd. Still pacing along the border and occasionally marking it, Streamsoul meowed, "Smokepaw, I know you can identify if someone has breached our border. Now, tell me something about the cats that marked it."

((>_< I'm not going to control any of the ThunderClan cats here, I'll just use their names because they're warriors and y'know, Streamsoul said there's warriors. Heh.))

Smokepaw swam after her mentor, shaking out her pelt once reaching the other side. She scented the air carefully, once, twice. "It smells like...Shadowpelt, Stormfang, Skycloud, and Shadowdust are out patroling the ThunderClan borders." Smokepaw turned to Streamsoul to make sure she was right. "Right?" She asked.

Brownpaw slowly awoke from his deep slumber. He forced himself to his feet and walked silently outside only to see no one but the leader outside. He grumbled softly before padding to the fresh kill pile. The striped warrior stared at the small pile. "Im not hungry anyways." he hissed to himself.

Streamsoul blinked in surprise, then stammered, "Y-yes, that is right. So far as I know, anyway," she finished ruefully. "Apparently, you know more of the ThunderClan cats by name than I do. I picked out Shadowpelt and Skycloud's scent, but couldn't match the rest to a specific cat." Streamsoul smiled proudly at her apprentice, and meowed, "Excellent."

If I don't watch myself, this kit is going to best me in front of Lunarstar, Streamsoul thought to herself, chagrined, as she turned to pad back towards the very southern base of the river. A quiet mrrow quivered out of her throat as she stepped forward. "Now to fish," she mewed to Smokepaw over her shoulder. Streamsoul crossed the river yet again, this time paying more attention to the sights and feels around her paws. The riverbed here was more shallow, due to its wider banks, and small plants grew along its bottom. They wouldn't have to travel along the riverbank - this spot was perfect.

Streamsoul stood patiently at the riverbank as Smokepaw forged her way across the river, then meowed, "I'd like to watch you catch a fish, before I catch anything." Her cobalt eyes were attentive as she prepared to study her apprentice's developing hunting techniques. StarClan knows she's been paying enough attention, Streamsoul thought again, this time a little smugly. It was good to have a competent apprentice. I'm sure her claws are just as good as her sniffer. Streamsoul stifled the laughter this time, but an amused gleam still shone in her deep blue eyes as she waited.
