Problem: too many n00bs creating said threads lately. Idea: create one main thread (sticky?) dedicated to let newcomers announce themselves and let them declare their abilities / skills. Kind of 'who's who'.
We may then freely flame / laugh at those, who turn out to do not posses declared abilities. biggrin

Eh, good idea in theory, but I think it would be bad in practice, as look at how many "read the stickies" posts we point them to already. This would just be one more to add to the list.
The only Sticky that seems to have cut clutter is the gmail one, although I think that is because the popularity of it has died down.

If you had taken the time to read the C&T stickies, you would have known that flaming is not allowed, except where humorous and enjoyed by most. The C&T is also set up so that people with real problems don't have to wade through pages upon pages of arrogant bullshit. Each thread is easily magagable, with the flamewars excised with relativley little pain. Having only a single thread would also make the C&T a slower forum than it already is.
The solution is to keep on trucking as we always have: tell people not to make that kind of thread, and pm a moderator to delete said thread.
