Eclipse Castle is set far off the winding dirt road, on the crest of a hill, enveloped in an eerie fog that would send shivers down the spine of even the most seasoned of hunters. The dark trees seem to enclose upon the space around the castle, the moisture in the air dripping off the rock walls.

Alligators bask in the warm moist air near the moat, their presence lit by the odd phosphorous algae that clung to the rocky bed, watching and waiting for an unsuspecting passerby to take a wrong step and slide sown the slippery slope into their waiting jaws. Not that any passerby would come anywhere near the castle, for the sheer creepiness of the atmosphere kept most at bay. Not even birds chirped, the air was still and silent as the moon above the treetops.

The eerie fog lifts off the glowing moat, rising up the sides of the castle and cresting at the top of the tallest tower. At night the moon, at the high point in the sky, reflects off the deep white mist, making the whole scene as if one from a horror book.

"Statistically you have a chance at winning......."

The sound of rubber soled boots clicking against marble echo off the walls of Eclipse Castle as a figure quickly moves down a hallway. Captain of the Royal Guard Takeshi looks over a stack of papers in his hands as he makes his way towards the training grounds. They were the results of last weeks training exercises. He had many very promising students. But there was one that was giving him a slight headache. He shuffles through the papers and pulls one out. Glaring at the picture on it.

Tuk' Lekar, local noble brat, was quite a handful. Refusing to participate in any training exercise, disobeying orders at the drop of a hat, and using his status against the other trainees. It was time to address this problem. On the battlefield all soldiers must be loyal, work together as a team, and trust each other. On bad egg could cause many deaths. As Takeshi neared the training grounds he could hear the voice of said bad egg. He frowns as he recognizes the tone in that voice. Takeshi tosses the papers aside as he enters the training grounds.

Takeshi's eyes lock onto the form of Tuk' Lekar. As he thought. The boy was taunting another trainee. Knowing the trainee wouldn't raise a hand to a noble. The noble boy dances around the other trainee in a foolish manner. Throwing taunts and insults at the trainee. At one point Tuk' Lekar flicks his sword out and cuts the trainee's belt. Causing his pants to fall to his knees. Tuk' Lekar laughs at this and looks around at the others. A few force a laugh not wanting to be a part of his taunts.

Tuk' Lekar shrugs at the crowds lack of response. "My your a boring lot." He looks at the trainee he was taunting and gives him a cruel smirk. "I wonder what you would do if I should cut your ear off?" The trainee's eyes become defiant but he doesn't move an inch. "Hah! And here I thought you had no fight in you!" Tuk' Lekar raises his blade and gets ready to strike.

Takeshi has seen enough. In a blink of an eye he has already closed the 10 foot distance between him and Tuk" Lekar. He grasps the sword arm of Tuk' Lekar in a vice like grip. "That will be enough...Young Master..." Tuk' Lekar looks behind him with venom in his eyes. "How dare you touch a noble! Unhand me!" Takeshi smiles slightly, "As you wish Young Master." And jerks sharply on Tuk" Lekar's arm. Throwing him across the training grounds and into a stand of training weapons and armor. A loud symphony of cheering soon follows.

Tuk' Lekar stumbles out from under a pile of broken training weapons, armor, and stands. He is quite mad as he sputters insults left and right, "You dog! How dare you! I am a noble! And you are the royal family's lap dog!" Tuk' Lekar presses his hands together, "Now I'll show you the Lekar family's magic!" He begins to chant. "Spirits of magic hear my call. Burn, destroy, reduce to ash the bodies of my enemies......." Tuk' Lekar opens his hands and fire begins to swirl between them. Trainees standing near Takeshi shout and begin running in the opposite direction. "....Spirits of fire I command you! Fireball!" A large ball of fire launches from between Tuk' Lekar's hands and soars towards Takeshi.

Takeshi raises an eyebrow at the incoming ball of fire with mild amusement. Just before it makes contact. Takeshi waves his hand in front of himself. A blood portal opens up and the fireball passes harmlessly through it. Moments later another blood portal opens up behind Tuk' Lekar. Tuk' Lekar spins around, his eyes wide with surprise, and gets hit by his own fireball. There is a loud explosion and Tuk' Lekar is sent flying to the middle of the training grounds. He screams in pain and rolls around in the dirt trying to put out the fire. He succeeds but only after the fire has burned off all the hair on is head and face. Takeshi casually walks over the the panting Tuk' Lekar. "Perhaps now you will pay attention hm?"

"But the odds are not stacked in your favor......."

X X Considering that most of Markell's motor skills leaned towards the inept, it was astounding that he was able to walk and read at the same time. But he could, and recently he'd spent a lot of time putting that skill to use, including right now. He wandered down a hall in Eclipse castle, and having borrowed another volume from the castle's library, was busy with absorbing its contents. It was unclear if he even knew where he was going, at this rate, nor was it certain he cared. He spent a lot of time just walking around, out of boredom if nothing else.

X X Unfortunately, Markell discovered that the book he held was much like another he'd previously read, and with a small sigh lowered it until it was tucked under his arm. He rubbed his eyes with his free hand. He'd finish it later, but at the moment, he really wasn't interested. Which left him with another problem; what to do now? He wished Dimitri would hurry with his errand and return home. Markell hadn't realized how vital his older brother was to staving off boredom until he was no longer around. His brow furrowed in slight frustration as he tried to think of something, anything, that he could occupy himself with.

X X And then, like a godsend, there it was. His interest peaked, Markell ventured to a nearby window as he heard a familiar voice shouting outside. Just as he'd thought, it was that idiot Tuk' Lekar making a fool out of himself in the training grounds, making fun of another trainee. Markell had never liked that guy, and the feeling was definitely mutual. He couldn't hide a smile when he saw Takeshi crossing over towards the brute. This ought to end well. He wanted a better view, and so quickly turned and strode in the direction that would lead out to the training grounds, placing his book on a small side-table as he passed it. He would come back for it later.

X X As he reached the threshold between indoors and out, Markell's eyes widened slightly at the sound of an incantation. Was Tuk' Lekar really stupid enough to attack Takeshi? And with a lame spell like fireball? Markell cleared his throat slightly and fought back a grin before approaching the training grounds.

X X Not surprisingly, when Markell arrived, Takeshi had turned the boy's attack against him. Stopping a few feet away, Markell allowed the hint of a grin to tug at the edges of his mouth as he crossed his arms lightly, observing the scene. "Teaching a lesson outside of training I see, Takeshi," he remarked cheerily. As non-violent as Markell was, he thought that Tuk' Lekar had gotten exactly what he'd deserved this time.

"Statistically you have a chance at winning......."

Takeshi looks up from his student when Markell walks in. He salutes Markell in the typical fashion of the royal guard, fist over his heart. He doesn't answer Markell directly but the slight smirk on his face says it all. Takeshi points to a random trainee and waves him over. The trainee moves quickly to Takeshi's side and salutes him. "Take the Young Master to the infirmary and have them treat his burns." The trainee nods and barks, "Sir!" then bends down to help Tuk' Lekar up. "Today you just learned what its like to get hit. Tomorrow I will teach you how to dodge." Tuk' Lekar only response is to groan in pain as he's lifted to his feet.

Takeshi watch the two slowly make their way to the door before finally turning to Markell. "And to answer your question. Not at all Lord Markell. I merely taught a lesson firsthand today. Being taught directly does wonders to a student's training....and attitude." Takeshi smirks at the last sentence. "So then. What do we owe to the honor of your presence Lord Markell?" Takeshi turns around and gives a sharp whistle towards the other trainees. They instantly resume training and the courtyard is filled with the sounds of wooden swords clacking against each other. Takeshi turns back to Markell, hands folded behind him.

X X Markell watched as Tuk' Lekar was carried off, finally feeling that twinge of empathy that had been held back by his dislike for the boy. That had to have hurt. His smile fell a bit, but when Takeshi addressed him again, it found its way back again. He nodded at the Captain's explanation, in total agreement. Having seen their results, Markell had never once questioned Takeshi's training methods. The man was a tactical genius to him, not to mention how well he could back up his strategy with action. He would have thought people like Tuk' Lekar would have learned by now, but there were always those who thought they were untouchable.

X X Markell shrugged lightly at Takeshi's question. "Curiosity," he stated simply before elaborating, "I heard his shouting and wanted to see what all the commotion was about." He glanced behind Takeshi and at the busy trainees, feeling a small surge of envy. He wasn't a fighter, but even he couldn't help but imagine himself swinging those blades once in a while. He shook his head slightly, casting the silly idea out of his head before looking at Takeshi again.

X X "Would you mind if I watched for a bit?" he asked, not wanting to intrude. He enjoyed the feeling of the place, when it was busy. For those who actually took it seriously, there was a sense of camaraderie and determination that seemed hard to come by otherwise. Plus, it was the one place that seemed alive, in the otherwise quiet, gloomy castle. Though it would never really be light here, this was probably as close as it would get. Markell had wanted something to soothe his boredom; perhaps this was it. Takeshi at work was something that was always interesting to see.

Takeshi tilts his head slightly at the request, "Of course not Lord Markell. Besides it would raise the spirits of the men to know one of their Lords watches over them." Takeshi turns sharply at the sound of wood breaking, the cry of pain, and the long string of curses coming from a trainee. Takeshi turns back with a sigh and bows to Markell, "Excuse me Lord Markell." and walks to the now angry trainee. "You damn fool! This isn't a real fight! Hold back will ya?!" Takeshi shakes his head hearing this, "Well obviously you should have dodged faster." The trainee looks at the floor ashamed at losing his temper. Takeshi smiles slightly and begins to instruct him on the proper footing for a clean dodge.

That's when a loud voice echoes out of the hall castle halls, "Takeshi! Where are you god damn you!" Takeshi sighs slightly and rubs his eyes in annoyance. "Just practice what I just taught you and you'll do fine." He turns and walks to the middle of the training grounds, hands behind him, and stares at the doorway. "Things keep getting interesting tonight Lord Markell...." Almost as if on cue a very large man storms through the entrance of the training grounds. He is dressed in very fine clothing and carries a very expensive looking cane. It was Fauk Lekar. Tuk' Lekar's father and he looked very angry.

X X Markell grinned and nodded when Takeshi gave him permission to stay. It wasn't like he'd really expected to be turned away, but it was still good to know he was welcome. Acceptance in general was something that Markell never took lightly. However, he winced when he heard the sudden crack and the cursing, and gives Takeshi a nod. "Of course."

X X He watched with interest as Takeshi approached the two trainees, and his expression shifted from concern to a warm smile as the scene unfolded. With a single comment Takeshi had calmed down the trainee, and Markell could easily see the respect the boy had for his teacher. A hopeless romantic Markell may be, but he couldn't help feeling warmed as Takeshi gave his instructions. As simple as the interaction was, Markell saw the little things.

X X He visibly flinched when the shrill voice of Fauk Lekar destroyed the sense of peace. He turned to face the doorway, but glanced at Takeshi as he approached. "Seems that way..." he replied with a small smile and slight nervous laugh. He shrunk back a little as the man approached them, though he knew it was silly. Lekar couldn't do anything to Takeshi besides yell at him, and surely Markell wasn't in any danger. Still, the size of the man seemed even more imposing when his temper was off. It was reflex to get a bit edgy.

"Statistically you have a chance at winning......."

Takeshi is stone-faced as Fauk Lekar approaches him like a mad bull. He doesn't even flinch when Fauk Lekar begins poking Takeshi in the chest as he begins his rant, "How dare a dog such as yourself strike my son! He is a noble and should be treated as such! I should have you hanged for your actions! How do you expect him to find a mate with his hair gone!" Fauk Lekar stares angrily at Takeshi. And his face becomes bright red with anger when Takeshi finally answers, "The matchstick will grow back his hair. But his lack of hair isn't the only problem he'll have when it comes to attracting the opposite sex." Takeshi smiles as he says this. Almost as if daring Lekar SR to do something. He was baiting Fauk Lekar. Luring him into losing his temper even more. A tactic Takeshi has used many times against easily angered opponents.

Fauk Lekar's face looks about to explode and he begins looking around the Training Grounds as if searching for an outlet of this anger. That's when he notices Markell. He does a double take and his attitude suddenly changes, "Lord Markell! My Lord! I do apologize! Had I known you where here.....well now I feel utterly embarrassed by my outbursts." Fauk Lekar bows as best he can with his large gut getting in the way. And gives Markell a smile that would turn the strongest of stomachs. "Please My Lord. I beg retribution for my son's humiliation!" He turns to sneer at Takeshi before continuing, "I demand this dog be punished for the crime of striking a noble!" Fauk Lekar keeps his head bowed, waiting his answer, and sure he has won the day. Takeshi merely watches on with amusement on his face. The echo of training swords striking each other is the only other sound heard on the Training Grounds now.

X X Markell could definitely see the resemblance between father and son. He found himself getting annoyed as the man yelled at Takeshi. Noble or not, this behavior was rude and on the verge of disgusting. Especially since he and his son were the ones in the wrong. But when Takeshi goaded him on -and Markell knew that was exactly what he was doing- he had to stifle a giggle. It was pretty funny; and it showed that Takeshi knew what he was doing. Though Markell couldn't help but be a little concerned; what if Fauk Lekar reached the same breaking point as his son? Takeshi couldn't just go knock around everyone who looked at him the wrong way.

X X He needn't worry too long though, for Fauk Lekar had finally seemed to notice his presence. Markell somehow managed to keep a straight face as he was groveled to. Didn't anyone here know him by now? Asking Markell to punish someone was near pointless, not to mention how unreasonable the cause was. Still, Markell looked between the two sternly in an odd moment of self-control. Even if he did find part of it amusing, he had to try to be serious. "I am a little disappointed in how this played out," he began, "I'll definitely have to talk to Au- um, the Queen..." Oops. It wouldn't have sounded too professional to start calling her "Aunt Tessa" right now.

X X He allowed for a short pause where he looked at Takeshi, a hint of a smile on his face before going serious again and facing Lekar. "...and tell her how well Takeshi is carrying out his job, despite outbursts from certain trainees." He knew this decision wouldn't get him any favor in the large man's eyes, but the sudden change in attitude had reminded Markell that he was the one with the most authority right now, and it had made him less edgy. He was still quite nervous, but it didn't really show anymore. "Your son was the instigator here, Sir Lekar. I could even hear him from up there," he pointed out the window he'd first viewed the scene from before continuing, "Now before you come and attack Takeshi for doing what he's supposed to do, I would consider this. If your son had gone into a real battle with that temper and brazen attitude, the Lycans would have torn him apart in an instant. I would think that a little premature balding would be minuscule in comparison to total dismemberment."

X X He shrugged slightly, as if it were a simple fact. But he really was trying to get Lekar to see the truth of this. "It is Takeshi's duty to make sure that these trainees are prepared for a fight, if one should arise again. You can't blame him for doing that. I know it was your son who got hurt, but please. Consider both sides next time before you start pointing fingers." And with that he concluded his lecture, and crossed his arms lightly. He was actually rather proud of himself, though he tried not to let it show.

"Statistically you have a chance at winning......."

Fauk Lekar looks up sharply at Markell. His eyes wide with confusion. His mouth opens and closes several times as if he where trying to say something. Fauk Lekar then stands to his full height, his face like stone now, and his voice that of controlled anger. "Very well Lord Markell. I will stand down. But the other Nobles will hear that a Royal Family member sided with a dog. And believe me this will be far from over." Fauk Lekar bows to Lord Markell, spins around, and makes his way towards the exit.

Fauk Lekar barely gets to the exit when Takeshi makes his move. He walks forward, stepping through a blood portal. Another blood portal opens up in front of Fauk Lekar who gives a yelp of terror and stumbles backwards when Takeshi steps through. Takeshi stands there for a moment, his hands still behind his back, and a curious look on his face. Fauk Lekar stammers, "O-o-out of my way dog!" Takeshi leans forward, getting dangerously close to Fauk Lekar's face. "Are you really going to tell the other nobles of your son's embarrassing defeat at the hands of a...dog?" Fauk Lekar blinks in surprise at this. Obviously he hadn't thought of that little detail, "Well...I....but...." Fauk Lekar's eyes meet those of Takeshi's and he takes another step back, clears his throat, and talks more calmly. "I don't suppose I need the support of the other nobles. My power is more than enough!" Fauk Lekar proceeds to carefully walk past Takeshi. Never turning his back on him. When Fauk Lekar gets to the door he speaks again in that superior tone, "This is far from over....dog." And walks out the door. A few moments pass and one can her the sound of running footsteps.

Takeshi smirks slightly when Fauk Lekar finally leaves and turns to Markell with a more serious expression. "The nobles are getting more bold with each decade. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to overthrow the Royal Family soon." Takeshi then looks at Markell with appraising eyes an approaches him. Then against his usual 'formalities are always important' attitude. Pats Markell on the shoulder, "You did well today Lord Markell. Lord Dimitri would be proud." His had quickly returns to it's normal place behind his back and he turns to the trainees. Because the sound of wood cracking against wood had stopped, "And what do you young pups think this is? A theater show? Back to it!" The Trainees instantly jump back into their routines. Takeshi smirks. This was indeed a good group.

X X Markell's mouth fell into a hard line as Fauk Lekar threatened him. His hands, which were hidden by his crossed arms, tightened on the sleeves of his shirt as he forced himself to keep looking tough and in control. But for some reason, that cool, controlled anger was much scarier than his raging outburst from before. Markell would never take back the fact that he chose to side with Takeshi, but he was worried about what would happen now that he had. Was Lekar going to be able to follow through with anything? He thought not, but if the other nobles were like him, then maybe it wasn't so unlikely.

X X Markell's eyes followed the man as he began to leave. Only the fact that he'd already clenched his muscles so hard kept him from jumping out of his skin when Takeshi suddenly created a blood portal. He would have protested, but he was already too late. He watched as Takeshi reappeared before Lekar, and was suddenly glad he'd let him go. He'd made a good point, one that in his nervous state, Markell hadn't even thought to say. He felt himself relaxing a little as Fauk Lekar stumbled over his words. Needless to say he was more than relieved when he heard the man running away.

X X He allowed his fear to show to Takeshi. His eyes widened as he said the nobles might try a rebellion, the notion startling to him. "You think so?" He practically squeaked, and flushed with some embarrassment. He released a good deal of the tension in his arms, letting them fall loosely so that they crossed lightly across his stomach. He looked up at Takeshi, worry lacing his features, but his expression changed to pure surprise when Takeshi pats him on the shoulder.

X X He felt a swell of pride push through, and grinned at the Captain as he was complimented. Even if his attention had been brought back to the trainees rather quickly, it had meant a lot to Markell. He smiled and looked to the ground, thinking of how Dimitri would react to this. He chuckled slightly at the thought that he might not even believe it. After all, Markell wasn't famous for his ability to stand up to others. Especially large, angry others.

Tessa sat in her large silver chair flipping through the age stained pages of a large leather bound book. It entranced her, the stupidity of the characters in this particular story. They were killing for love, the thoughts of love were what got her on this hell of an island. She loved the power that she now had, but she hated the fact that she was no longer human. She awoke from her trance by the shouts of a rather crude man. She looked back down at her book trying to once again get lost in the lives of the stupid characters. It was of no use though the voice rising from the outside training grounds was aggravating to no end. She closed the book and sat it on her lap. She tapped her fingers on the small table next to her. “Ugh I have had enough,” she said with disgust as she uncrossed her legs.

Tessa placed the book on the table and rose from her chair. She walked to the large window and gazed down at the training grounds. She saw that the yelling was coming from the crudest of crude men Fauk Lekar, he was yelling at Takeshi, with Markell standing a little away from him. She watched the confrontation between Takeshi and Fauk Lekar come and go quickly. She momentarily debated whether or not she wanted to go down and intervene, but she knew that Takeshi and Markell were more than capable. She had tons of faith in Markell he was brilliant, just nervous. She moved away from the window, and ran her fingers across the large piano that stood in the middle of the room, resting her index finger on middle c. Now would be a good time to go and see what had happened, although she knew exactly what had occurred.

Tess walked into the training grounds, scanning for Markell among the trainees. She spotted Markell standing not too far away from where she was with Takeshi. She overheard Takeshi tell Markell that his brother Dimitri would be proud of him. She walked closer as Takeshi walked away.“What would Dimitri be proud of Markell?” Tessa asked as she walked up next to him. She already knew why, but she wanted to hear Markell tell her the story.

Markell's attention was taken away from the ground at the sound of a familiar voice. He looked up to find that the Queen had come out to the training grounds as well, and he flashed her a smile. "A-aunt Tessa! What are you doing here...?" he began, slightly confused. After all, the training grounds weren't usually the place for the Queen to be. But, he realized, he didn't have much more place here than she did. It wasn't his business where she went, and so he shook the question away.

He flushed slightly as he remembered that she had actually asked him a question first. Excited at the chance to tell someone already, he grinned as he thought about it. "One of Takeshi's students was causing trouble, so Takeshi had to discipline him. But his father, y'know, Fauk Lekar? He wasn't happy about it so he ran down here and started yelling at him. And then he saw that I was here and was trying to get me to get Takeshi in trouble. I totally shut him down!"

He realized he was starting to exagerate a little, and toned himself down before he got too into telling the story. He rubbed the back of his head before continuing, "Well, maybe not totally. But I told him that he and his son were the ones who were wrong, and he got really mad! He was threatening to tell the other nobles about what happened, but then Takeshi scared him before I could say anything else and he ran off." The pride of having stood up to Fauk Lekar was somewhat dampened by what Takeshi had said earlier. As Markell remembered it, his smile fell considerably. He looked up at Tessa with a worried expression. "Do you really think the nobles might turn on us?"

"Oh, I don't know. I think we could take them, if it came to that."

Markell's eyes widened at the interruption, and recognizing the voice, he leaned to the side to look past Tessa. His face lit up instantly, because leaning against the door-frame was none other than Dimitri. Markell ran over to him and grabbed him in a tight hug. "DIMITRI! You're back!" he cheered, and Dimitri chuckled. "Yeah yeah, down boy! Jeez, you're cutting off my circulation here!" He returned the hug for a moment before switching to trying to pry Markell off of him. It seemed to be in vain, but eventually Markell caved and let him breathe again- not that he really needed to breathe.

Dimitri patted his little brother on the head as the two walked back to Tessa together. "Nice story there, bro. I'm glad you two finally taught Fatty Lekar a lesson; I might have had to do something about him myself if he went on like that for too much longer." The statement caused Markell to laugh, if only from imagining how Fauk would react to Dimitri calling him "Fatty". But then he quickly cut himself off. "Oh! 'Mitri, how was your trip?" He asked happily. Dimitri gave him an annoyed glance at the nickname, but let him off this time. "Fine, but boring." he admitted with a shrug, and then looked at Tessa. "Everything went smoothly, like you'd hoped." he told her, carefully vague since he wasn't sure how much of his task she'd wanted to reveal to the rest of the population. He knew by experience that Takeshi's trainees were prominent eavesdroppers. Not that he blamed them; he was too.

"Oh, 'Mitri! Be Nice!"
"Don't call me that, idiot!"

Sometimes I tremble
Like a little child
Their faces mourning
With a broken smile

User ImageTessa listened to Markell’s story intently, and nodded brightly as his enthusiasm rose with the telling. She fought back a smile as to not show her happiness to the trainees around her. “Markell that was amazing, perhaps you should be in charge of the training then,” She joked patting him on the back. When Markell asked about the nobles turning on them she frowned. She was never the noble’s queen, and the thought of losing the power scared her. But, in the nick of time Dimitri arrived to distract Markell from the subject. He was back sooner than expected, and he was joking around about the idiot Lekar.

Tessa watched the trainees work while she waited for them to walk back over to her. She nodded softly to Dimitri when he mentioned the trip. “There will be no more mentioning that Dimitri, at least not out here,” She answered. Tessa pulled Dimitri into a welcome home hug and began to whisper into his ear, “There are eager ears everywhere. I will hold a meeting in my study with Markell, Takeshi, and you later. That is when we will speak of your vacation.” She let go of Dimitri with a small peck on each cheek as a sign of respect and turned towards the trainees. “Until then why don’t you go get settled back in. I have been rearranging things, I got bored again. Nothing is where it used to be, so Markell why don’t you show him to where his room is now, while I tell Takeshi about the meeting, I will call for you two once you are settled back in,” She looked at the trainees once again as she sent Dimitri and Markell on their way. “By the way Markell, that was really was impressive. I am very proud of you, and I look forward to your input in future situations,” She patted Markel on the head this time, and turned away from the brothers. “Talk to you in a few,” she said as she glided over to Takeshi a few steps away.

Tessa stopped smoothly in front of Takeshi and looked at the trainees from his view. “They are a good group Takeshi, you are training them well. Dimitri is back from his vacation,” she formed her lips into a line and then leaned towards Takeshi’s ear. “Meet me in my study in a few minutes, we will be having a small discussion of the trip, you, Markell, Dimitri and me,” She whispered into Takeshi’s ear. “See you later Takeshi, make sure these worms are hurting before you come inside,” She spoke loudly as she waved a small wave as she glided back up to her study to prepare for the upcoming meeting.

When they're chasing through
Sometimes I feel that

I could rule the world

"Statistically you have a chance at winning......."

Even though it seemed as if Takeshi was too preoccupied to notice the conversation going on a few feet away. It doesn't mean he wasn't aware of Dimitri's return. He really did want to turn and welcome Dimitri's return. But honestly his training session with the cadets had been interrupted enough times for one day and he was determined now to have them finish their lessons. As such he snaps sharply at a student who was gawking at the Queen's appearance on the training grounds, "Pick up your jaw cadet and keep your eyes on your opponent. Unless of course you wish to feed through a straw before the day's end!" The student jumps in fright and goes back to sparring with another. Takeshi shakes his head in astonishment. It only took one day to disrupt their discipline, even if it was just a little bit. No matter. He would whip them back into shape before the next moon.

Takeshi gets a slightly annoyed look on his face when a figure steps in front of him. It softens though when he realizes who it was. Had it been another cadet they would have been kissing the floor in mere seconds. Takeshi listens to the Queen's words and then bows, "Of course your Majesty. I will be with you shortly." He never turns away from his students as he does this though. He was set on whipping these cadets back into shape and when he is set on his purpose nothing short of death would divert him from it.
