Jamie was in a great mood today, it had only bee a few days since Alex had suggested he make his own orchard in the forest from the apple seeds he'd given him. So he'd been spending the days since scouring the forest for any other seeds, berries and nuts so he could have good variety of plants the tend to.

He was wondering through the forest, still only wearing his tatty peasant shorts, his half hoof feet dirty from the mud underfoot. He had a bag made from animal skin slung over his shoulder which Gerta had lent him, which he was using to store his horde of supplies.

Admittedly he hadn't found a good open spot to start planting, there where just so many things he'd collected so far.

It was cold and wet where she was laying...Cold and wet? Blythe shot up with a gasp but immediately regretted it as her whole body protested the movement. With a groan she managed to get on her hands and feet rubbing her aching body. Looking around she remembered this place, she was following that light and was hit by it. Slowly she stumbled out of the cave, though this time the going was easier as she could see better for some reason.

The strong daylight momenarily blinded her, sheilding her eyes she could tell some time had passed as the air was warmer about her. It was then that she got her first look at her new self. Her hands were tipped in delicate claws and her hair was longer, yet there was more. With a hopeless moan that turned quickly into a wail as she realized that half her body was starting to turn that of a lion. Stepping backwards she tripped over her own legs and onto her rear and a jolt of pain raced up her spine as she landed on her tail. She touch her tail, desperately hoping it was just some sick joke.

"Oh lord please let this be a product of a concusion..." She whispered to herself. A noise up ahead caught her attention and her world focused in on it.

Jamie hummed to himself as he walked along the thick undergrowth, despite being barefoot his new toes where quite suited to climbing over the thick roots of the trees and what grew in-between.

A odd noise caught his attention, it wasn't like any of the animals he'd heard in the forest, there was usually only bird song, and the largest animals in the forest where deer, and they didn't make any sounds like that, they where quite quiet most of the time. He spied a human like figure, maybe one of his fellow changed?

She managed to get to all fours and felt marginally more comfortable, but something was coming and she felt vulnerable from her prone position. Struggling to her feet she quickly wiped the away the wetness on her face and tried to cover herself as best she could. ~Please Lord do not let it be one of the villagers...~

"Hello? Is anybody there, if there is please say. I-I'm indecent right now..." The last part wavered she tried and failed to have an excuse. Something on her back was beginning to feel cramped and was straining at her shirt, she was worried at what else was wrong.

Jamie spied the figure through the trees,, unsure who it was he continued to approach, since he hadn't seen Blythe since he'd left the town and came to the forest. And he didn't recognise her from her changes.

"Yes" he replied to the odd blue figure. He thought she looked fine, Jamie himself being only dress in the remains of of his trousers. Human shame was something lowly fading with his own changes. He approached regardless. "Hello" He smiled and waved like he would to a normal person in the street.

Blushed and covered herself, but a small part of her was confused as to why she was doing that, it was natural to be like such wasn't it? She tried to tuck her long hair behind her ears, really getting a look at the boy she had known as Jamie.

"Jamie, is that really you?" She stepped forward to get a closer look, and somthing flared with in her. This was prey, something that was weak enough to get closer, in striking range. It would be so easy, to just reach out and hold it down as you feed... With a violent shake of her head she trough he thought out. what was happening to her? "What happened? Where is everone?" Panic edged in on her voice.

It finally clicked, Jamie recognised the strange blue feline like person in front of him, Blythe. She had a lot longer hair and a tail to match, but it was defiantly her.

"Yep, it's me" He cocked his head to one side in confusion as Blythe shook her head suddenly. "Huh? Whatcya mean? Some people changed and they've got a camp in the forest, but I haven't been" She said trying to be as helpful as he could.

Her hands clenched involentarily, Still not used to being used she hissed in pain. Her eyes widened atr the decidedly inhuman sound and touched her mouth disbelievingly with one claw tipped hand.

"I apologize Jamie, I-I have been asleep as it were, for a duration. I am not sure of what has been happening to this world or to me. Tell me child do I look as bad as I feel?" She crossed her arms over her front trying to use as much of her torn shirt as possible to make herself decent. "Yet you seem well almost comfortable in your skin. Tell me Jamie what have I missed since I last saw you. When is a child no longer a child?"

Her eyes focused in on him as she spoke the last part, confidence growing with the riddle spoken.

Jamie looked on curiosity as Blythe make her feline hiss noise. it wasn't unlike his own pet cats back homes hissing. He always just scratched him behind the ears to calm him down when he did that, but that hardly seemed like a good idea with Blythe.

"It's okay" he said with a nod and a smile. "Bad?, you don't look bad at all" But Jamie was hardly a good person to ask about changes. "I mean, it could be worse I guess"

He took her skin comment as a compliment, thought honestly didn't understand her riddle. "Er thanks..." He trailed off, not sure how to answer.

Her face softened at his reassurances, he really was a kind boy, perhaps a little shocked when she first met him but now, he seemed quite relaxed. "Thank you Jamie. Do tell where are the others...sitting in this clearing is aking me nervous enough and I would like a chance to understand what is happening to me." Her tail twitched behind her already relaxing from being so stiff.

She combed her hands through her hair to straighten the mess it had become, the motion had a vaguely feline. "Where are the others then?"

He just nodded when Blythe thanked him. He was just being polite like he always was, it was just something he always did naturally.

"Oh the others?" He knew the forest sort of well by now, but just the area that surrounded Gertas hurt and not much further. He'd have to be honest or else they'd both get lost. "Sorry, I don't know where it is, I've never visited"

He watched he odd grooming, even he could guess she was becoming something cat less.

"You are not with the others?" Her eyebrows pulled up in confusion. "I just assumed you stayed with them, then where are you staying child?" She stretched lightly as her body loosened up, the vestigal wings on her back flexed.

"If there is no issue with you may I accompany you to whereever you are staying? As of right now I know nothing of this place, yet you seem to know more then I." She smiled softly down at him, at ease with much as the great cat in her started to have a say.

"Err, nope" He smiled the sort you only smile when embarrassed. "I'm staying with this lady who lives in the forest, her huts a little walk away"

"Hmm, but I don't know if she wants more company" he was sort of telling a white lie there, Gerta was a nice person and welcomed a lot of the changed, but it just seemed very rude to Jamie if he just arrived back with more uninvited company.

Blythe just nodded and patted the boy on the head. Her new tail swaying behind her stooped form, it was starting to be painful standing this way now.

"As you wish child, mayhap you could could ask this woman next time you see her if she wouldn't mind some extra company. I wouldn't wish to impose. Yet you are sure you are alright?," She was uncomfortable with having the boy off on his own but she was not in a very good position to be of help with anyone, she could barely manage to move around as is.

She started to hobble towards a tree to settle herself down for a rest, her feet...paws were starting to ache and burn. "Well then I suppose it would best if went about what you were doing. I shalt not keep you from your task," She sighed leaning against the rough bark, grateful for the support.

Jamie smiled a properly smile when Blythe patted him on the head, it was oddly comforting for both his new faun half and old childish human side.

"I guess, I visit her a lot" he nodded. "you could always see if you can find her too" Jamie suggested forgetting not everyone knew the forest like he did, that and he'd feel less guilty about it if he wasn't arriving with the new company.

"Oh, I was just collecting berries and stuff, it's all right"
