Seeing as both of them have moved into their dorm fairly recently it's still pretty bare, both parties of people being fairly simple anyway. Karen's bed is pushed against the wall off on a corner while Aki's is simply in the area that would be the least trouble some, and also across from her wall. Karen's bed has purple sheets while Aki's has a dark green color. The rest of the room has only simple things, looking as if they never spend much time in there, even though that's not the case. A dresser or two, bathroom stocked with hardly anything and even the mini fridge have a couple sodas and a bottle of water or two.

It had been about three days or so since the first night when he had made Karen eat dinner, and he had paused even once in making sure that she ate something for every meal. But he only made her leave her room for dinner, figuring it'd be best to work things up from there, otherwise he brought her meals. Even once he had left a meal for her and a note asking her to eat it, figuring even if she tried to avoid it, she probably wouldn't waste food seeing as she seemed to have a good head on her shoulders. Even though it was already two in the afternoon he was sleeping, seeing as he had been up all day practically the previous day and he of course woke up twice to make sure that Karen got her usual meals. This time, instead of waking up to his clock watch or anything, he heard the very first crack of thunder he'd heard in a while. Aki assumed it was the first anyway becuase he never slept deeply, or soundly and he groggily rubbed his face, sitting up slowly as his eyes adjusted to the very dim lighting that was in the room. Because of the onslaught of rain, it looked like it was pitch black outside, minus the every other cloud of blue mixed in. He pulled back the sheets lightly, sleeping in a pair of pajama-like plain pants and a white shirt as he glanced over towards Karen's bed, his eyes still clouded with his dreams. "Karen?" he called out sleepily as he yawned, checking to see if the female was in the room, and would have been surprised if she wasn't considering she hadn't left hardly at all unless he forced her to.

Karen had been in the room for every minute of every day since arriving here. That is, until she had been dragged off to eat. She'd been afraid that her roommate would try to wake her up in the mornings to get her out too, but he didn't. He just left her food with notes to eat it and she always did without complaint, though she usually didn't entirely finish each meal. She did manage to almost finish them though. Her frame hadn't grown much yet, but she'd only just started eating again. It'd take some time.

She had been sitting in the corner of the room on her bed, like always, headpones on and pencil sliding over the page of her sketchbook. She was wearing a pair of girl's boxers again, light purple with white trim and a long white t-shirt, her lavender hair messily around her shoulders.

She'd looked out the window in a sort of frozen state when it had darkened, then again when the rain had begun, listening intently, yet nothing had happened otherwise. So she'd continued drawing. A rather elaborate scene was developing upon a page. It was in the clearing of a forest. A large, horned dragon was laying on the edge of it, and curled up against his side was a small girl, wearing thin, fitting armor and with a staff across her lap. She had her head turned to one side, cheek against the reptile, and seemed to be asleep. A butterfly had landed on one of the girl's half raised knees, and it was this tiny detail that Karen was working on, when the first bang of thunder had rang out. And then, she was gone.

The pencil was dropped on her sketchbook, the headphones she'd been wearing suddenly dangingly over the edge of the bed, and remnants of purple smoke hovering over her bed, dispersed by the time Aki had risen to look at her bed. The girl was actually on the floor, underneath the bed, curled up with her hands over her head and her eyes squeezed shut, trembling in complete silence.

Aki glanced around, the girl really had left all on her own? Either his power of suggestion was actually rubbing off on Karen, or she had decided to go for a walk for a bit. But then again, there had been a thunder sound a minute ago and he figured it kind of wasn't safe to go outside. He stood up lazily flopped his sheets back onto the bed and then noticed the simple fact that the bed was shaking faintly. Well...this was a different school, but he wouldn't go so far as furniture that came to life. He crouched down and pullled the sheet up slightly, Karen. He looked at the reaction she had especially to how the thunder crashed down made her flinch and it only took him a minute to find the girl's worst fear. Without even the slighest bit of hesistation, he stood up fully once more, took the bed and without much hardship managed to flip it over and put it against the window, blocking the view of the storm outside fully and making the sound less harsh. Then he simple took her hand, and her headphones and music and headed over to his bed, setting her down and sitting down next to her, holding her snuggly to himself with the headphones over her ears once more. Aki remembered doing something like this once before when he had been younger and with his friend who was afraid of thunder, so it didn't seem odd to him that he reacted quickly or that he didn't mind holding Karen like this. "Want to talk about it?" he asked, his voice loud enough to be heard over the headphones but still with that emmensly low tone into it. Then shaking his head slightly at his own thoughts he pulled down her headphones and turned her to him, still his hand was on her own though as he made sure she could cling if she got scared, treating her as best he could right now. "I'll tell you about my life if you tell me yours, it'll keep your mind off things a little."

Karen yelped faintly as the bed was tossed up to the window, spilling her pencil and sketchbook over the floor, but she didn't really care about that at the moment. She remained huddled on the ground, looking absolutely terrified, until he took her hand and her own latched on, gripping it as if she'd die if she let go. She stumbled to his bed and sat down upon her knees, her arms wrapped tightly around him and her body pressed tight against his, face hidden against his chest. She was shaking in fear, trying to focus upon the headphones he'd placed back over her ears. It helped a bit, but still, when she managed to hear a roll of thunder through the tunes, she yelped and clung even tighter. And when he actually removed them, she peered up at him blankly through tear-brimmed eyes, biting her bottom lip hard.

She thought over his words while watching his face, until another low rumbled had her face pushing into him once more. Her face was red, because in the back of her mind she was embarrassed about her weakness and how pathetic she probably looked at the moment. But she was much too frightened to care enough to do anything about it. "T-tell me a story," she whimpered, sound rather childish with her weak voice muffled against him.

Aki calmly watched Karen's actions, studying her to see if she was feeling any better or if he should sit with her under his bed instead. She seemed to be doing a little bit better but there was the fact that she was still incrediably terrifed, and that wasn't helping his actual nerves. Not that he showed that, he was trying to be considerate anyway. He didn't think she looked pathetic, but he did feel suddenly completely terriable for not being able to keep that look away from her face and fix her immdately so he knew that he ought to try and fix everything. He blinked slightly at her request and nodded his head, thinking for a moment about what he should say, no doubt anything retaining to his own life wouldn't calm her down right now and would probably just make matters worse. "Alright." he said, clearing his throat a bit as he tried to remember a story he told a kid one time, remembering he used bunnies. "So there was this forest full of bunnies. And most of the bunnies all looked the same, all small and cute and they hopped about merrily. But one of the bunnies didn't fit in with the others, his ear had been hurt in an accident and the fact that he had a darker birthmark on him made all the other bunnies scared of him." he continued, realizing that without really trying he ended up gradually talking about himself, but maybe she wouldn't put it together and just be merry about the bunny story itself. "The bunny never made any friends and was left alone to fend for himself till this....purple bunny came along, the purple bunny was the smallest one he had ever seen and looked too fragile to come near, but he ended up chasing after her, and protecting her from the mean bunnies. In the end, the two of them became friends and started a wonderful game of hopscotch...the end." he replied wondering if that actually worked a little bit as he held her gently against him. It might have sounded silly, and it possiably still did but his voice as usual was still low and dark, so it sounded odd for the most part.

Karen stayed tightly snuggled into him, trembling still but not as much as before, her arms locked around his form and clutching at his shirt. Her face remained hidden against him as she waited to see if she really would get a story. He'd agreed and then cleared his throat though, so she'd slowly turned her head and peered up at him, blinking a couple times, sniffling softly through her tears. And then he'd started.

She looked confused at first, and then started taking in the story. Her eyes seemed to grow wide and her mind was forming the images, partially in order to help get further into the story and block out the sounds of the storm outside. It was slightly comical to hear such a tough sounding guy talking about bunnies and acceptance and.. hopscotch, but at the same time she found herself enjoying it. She leaned back against him, her cheek snuggled into his chest as she breathed out a soft sigh, her tears starting to stop flowing as she finally appeared to calm. She wasn't trembling anymore, and a very faint smile was tugging at her lips as she nuzzled into him, still clutching his shirt just as tightly though. "I'm glad they.. got to play together," she whispered. And before long, it seemed she had actually begun to drift off on him, soothed into sleep by his presence and comforting nature.

Aki did feel fairly embarrassed for telling that story, even though he might not be the tough guy that he looked fully like, he still was a guy. It was kinda childish and he just hoped that she wouldn't up laughing at him...he sighed faintly before looking back down at her. Karen was a bit like a kid, the way she reacted to things and her personality and powers probably even. But Aki didn't mind that, he found her really cute, but as of yet he hadn't put it much else together other than thinking she was pretty cute. There was always time to figure out things like that along the way and one thing he never did was scare away people on purpose, especially potential friends. There was a faint blush on his cheeks to have a girl snuggling into him like that, but he just waited till she spoke and smiled faintly, letting her hold him till she finally seemed to find asleep. Gently and carefully he removed her grasp on him, and stood back up, pulling the covers over her and tucking her in a bit. Now he seemed to feel a bit like an older brother, he sighed, wondering what he was going to do with Karen, she always was so hesistant to accept help. He leaned down and kissed her forhead lightly, "Me too." he said, his voice as low as ever and response to her last comment before he sat down on the floor, putting his back to the bed. Aki sat with one leg up, and one arm over it and soon fell back into his sleep as well, the type of guy that could fall alseep in any kind of situation or place. By then the thunder storm had started to lessen as well while the two slept soundly.

Karen had drifted off against him, sleeping so soundly and comfortably that any lingering sounds of the fading storm did not manage to wake her again. Normally she'd be up again in an instant, huddled and trembling under a bed. Though, hers was currently pushed up against the wall. She sighed quietly as she nuzzled into his pillow after he'd laid her down properly and tucked her in. Her face was red and slightly puffy from her crying, but she appeared overall calm now, even smiling very faintly to herself as well. She had no bad dreams or nightmares, and slept peacefully through the rest of the night, curled into a neat ball and allowing the scent he'd rubbed off onto his bed comfort her.

Until the next morning, when the sounds of birds outside gently stirred her from her sleep. Her eyes fluttered open and she stared blankly ahead at the head of hair leaned against the bed. She jumped slightly, startled at first as her mind worked to figure out where she was. She took in the sight of the bed blocking the window, and her sketchbook on the floor, and where she was, and a sudden deep blush spread across her cheeks. She sat up quickly, watching the way he was slumped on the floor against the bed, and then slowly found herself smiling. She reached out, ruffled his hair with the gentlest touch, and then slowly climbed out of his bed and retrieved her sketchbook, and then returned again, sitting cross legged facing the wall, the book in her lap as she started drawing. She was sketching out the scene he'd described, starting with the rough bunny and the frail bunny playing hopscotch.

Aki never did dream about much of anything, but when he woke up this time, he could of sworn he had gotten closer. If that made any sence. The only reason why he had woken up was because he felt something so soft against the top of his head, nothing that soft ever touched him, not even an animal. He gently stirred, his eyes opening hazily and almost immdately looking over and up lightly at Karen, staring faintly without saying anything. She looked...exicted...at least she wasn't scared anymore. He cracked his neck a bit and then pushed himself back up onto his feet, heading over to where her bed was at and once again with ease simply landing it back onto the ground. "Hey, you should get dressed, I think it'd be a good thing if we went out for some fresh air." she said to her, his back turned as he took off his shirt, pulling it over his head as he tried to shake of the sleep that threatened to have him go jump back into his head and just cuddle up next to Karen. Really...that would have had to be a dream. He shook his head faintly and snatched a pair of clothing from his dresser before slinking on over to their bathroom and closing the door before turning on the shower and promptly washing himself off. The memory of when he took out to the dinning hall the first time and those came up saying how someone as cute as her didn't fit with him. That was true wasn't it? Afterall, Karen pratically attracted animals to her while he scared them off with one look. Either way, it seemed this was enough to push away any other thoughts he had about cuddling. His semi-cold look was probably just as bad as before as he pulled on a pair of loose jeans and a white undershirt with a dark black sweater over that and slipped on shoes. He put his hands in his pocket as he glanced at her, "You ready? We'll grab something on the way." he said, not giving any more details on to where they were going and not looking like he was about to either.
